Honestly wasn't sure what I would get from this service. The website was very plain and I didn't see a lot of reviews. When I went, outside of a little sign near the entrance, nothing else really indicates it was them. Working with Russ to Allen to Bobby.... awesome! Hopefully they will provide the clear list of items that they can take but it was simple (go back to the garage door in the back), they pull out the cart and they took all my electronic equipment and cables and stuff (you know you have boxes of hdmi or ethernet cables laying around like I did). That was it! Glad to have a service like this around this area and didn't have to drive to Naperville.
Now that I see it on maps, it clearly states they don't take tvs. I called and although they couldn't take it, the gentleman I spoke to was incredibly helpful in telling me where to go and who to contact.
I have to laugh , they take electronics (most) for free, then sell the parts for big profit. By now it should be common knowledge that there are precious metals in most electronics. There are plenty of companies that will pay for old computers, etc....just a public service announcement with the truth for you.
Very friendly folks to deal with. They take most electronics free of charge, but not kitchen or food handling items. CRT or rear projection TVs or monitors are no longer accepted.
I normally do not post reviews of my experience, but I felt this one needed one. They did not allow for less than one star, so I put one star. I attempted to contact E-Scrap Technologies and spoke with the owner. I guess there was an issue with the first time I called. Before I could talk to him about our needs, he told me "if you call one more time I am going to put my boot through this phone". I would not recommend this vendor for you waste needs due to very poor customer service.
