Was sold a battery after telling the cashier my vehicles make, model, year, and vin number. Installed battery in car. Battery went bad within two weeks. I took the battery back and they gave me a new one. Battery went bad again. This time I decided to go to the Fairview Heights location. Manager checked the battery and told me that it has been the wrong one and shouldnt be installed. Cashier there returned the battery, gave me my money back and then I purchased the correct battery. My car is now in a shop for 1300 to get my alternator changed out and I along with my reputable mechanic believe that this is because of AutoZone error. I am currently waiting for a call back from corporate headquarters but undoubtedly will be out the 1300. Only go here if you know exactly what you need, do not have cashier's check a part for you. After your management reached out he has stated that I have to pay for the vehicle, take this documentation to the store and make a claim in person. Currently I am missing work and do not have my car because it is at the shop getting worked on. Your responses are just to try to save face. Your company used to stand for something and now it is just excuses. I will be taking this issue to the Attorney General next.

Your lack of knowledge has now caused us to have to prematurely put an alternator in our car because you gave us a battery that was not strong enough. We do know this to be correct because we went to the Fairview Heights store and they were amazing and very knowledgeable. I will be contacting corporate. Please get some people in there that know what they're doing and a manager as well she was just as much of an issue. We bought a battery put it in our car the next day or car won't start we think the battery is bad we take it back to AutoZone it took an hour and 20 minutes for them to charge it and keep telling us what we got to charge it a little more to see if it's good after all that the battery was bad. And here's the kicker then they give us a battery that doesn't even go to our car it fits but it's not the right one. We have no clue we're driving lose all power on 64. Decided to bring it to the Fairview Heights AutoZone and guess what they looked up the list that battery fits and our car wasn't on it. Get some people that know what the heck they're doing in your store we will never use that location again and I will be making a complaint because that could have really damaged our vehicle.

Good store, most of the people there are very helpful but some are not so much and seem to have the attitude that you're bothering them from being on their phone to help answer a question or actually help with looking up parts.

Autozone sold my mom a bad battery and they put it in and took the bad one out. Now with a warranty they don’t remove them for you anymore. Come to find out they didn’t even put the correct one in! While there one of the associates keep emphasizing I could take it out myself. Its a Jeep Renegade and the fuse box on top of the battery has to be disconnected a specific way and put back together the same or you could fry the computer system which would be several thousands of dollars to fix. I kept telling him no but he would not listen. Been selling cars for years and have talk to hundreds of mechanics, and was being serious. Listen to the customer. Just overall bad experience with Autozone. Try O’Reily or Napa Auto Parts instead

Go literally anywhere else first, they dont want your business and will make up any excuse not to help you. I pulled up to this location in urgent need of a new battery - we had to jump my car and I came in with no other options in town as everywhere else was closed and my phone was dead. An older man didnt even LOOK at my car before saying “well we probably cant do it with your car anyway…” before I told him there are no fuses or anything that complicate the job. He switches it up saying “Actually its because im the only one in the store so its a safety thing sorry” and as he said that another man walks out. This second man is like “i meannn i can look at it??” , takes one look at my car (which is perfectly fine just has a drained battery) and is like “well uhhh actually we PREFER to have 3-4 people working when we do anything like that sooo i dunno. like. you could come back monday maybe?? we MIGHT be able to do it then but i dunno.” I was like “I’m standing in front of you right now with a jumped car I cant turn back on once it’s off and a dead phone - what are you expecting me to do right now? You PREFER 4 staff members? For who? I’m the only customer here and theres two of you” He just replied “you could probablyyy go to fairview heights or smth i dunno” When I called the fairview heights location, they told me they were making up excuses not to do the work and I shouldn’t bother letting them touch my car. Fairview had me in and out in 10 minutes. If they hadnt, I would’ve been screwed because these guys decided they didnt feel like doing their job.

Bought a pair of windshield wiper blades. A wonderful gentleman by the name of Dwight installed them for me and even educated me on how I can do them in the future. Thank you again Dwight!

I worked with Tim Knight tonight at the Belleville Auto Zone on 5951 W Main Street. He went above and beyond to help me with a dead battery on a very cold day. I appreciate his kindness and help.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Whoever the older white guy is that was working Friday night, December 20th, was rude. Anytime I approached him, he acted COMPLETELY bothered and had an excuse every single time as to why he couldn't help me and every time "it's gonna be a while." The young black man, tho, super helpful. He's the only reason this location is getting any stars, period. My battery was still under warranty, and knowing I didn't live in the area, the old man didn't want to help me get my completely dead battery exchanged or or tested, or charged. Had to sit there for almost three hours for a jump to get down the street and die again.

Today, I went to purchase a new pack of headlight bulbs in order to get help by an employee. A gentleman named Tony asked me a couple of quick questions about my vehicle so that he can better assist me. Doing so,I mentioned to help that I had already purchased a headlight bulb from their store previously that I still had, I just didn't have the receipt. Tony said that he will install the headlight bulb anyway! I was so happy that he helped me that I waito cry. I really appreciated his empathy. Also, while Tony was attending to my vehicle, another store associate was outside helping a young lady with her flattened tire. He was able to pump it up enough for her to make it to her destination. Theses associates at this location are so professional and polite and I really appreciate their work ethic and awesome service.

I ordered a front crankshaft seal for a reman motor I recently purchased from AZ. I paid for the seal and kept get run around to the point of I gave up and went to advanced to get my seal. I feel as though Tony did me dirty and I'm not sure I'll ever come back. I've done business with you guys for years exclusively

Great customer service! Was an out if town customer desperately needing new wiper blades. The store attendant looked up the proper length and attachment style for my car, directed me to the correct blades available to purchase and even graciously installed them for me. My family that lives close by always uses this Auto Zone location and gave me great advice. I'll be back.

Amazing service I walked in tonight looking for a new battery and as I walked in I was greeted with the most uplifting and positive energy from the employees working they were practically throwing themselves at me to try and help me with my battery problem till a very rude customer walked in after me and started causing a disturbance in the store and then somebody came running from the back of the store dressed in all purple and went up to the man and choked him out till he was unconscious! Then proceeded to drag the unconscious man outside and proceeded to assault him till the man had defacated on himself then the workers just proceeded to help me with my battery problem-great service

The guy who replaced my battery today was super nice and friendly. Last winter it was dark and cold and one of the employees went above and beyond helping me figure out how to get the windshield wipers changed.

Very friendly atmosphere. The employees were very helpful. I was driving by and decided to pull in because I needed some car wax. The sales associate immediately came over to assist me and was very knowledgeable about the different types of car wax they had available. I went with the chemical guy’s banana car wax. My car has never looked better. Thanks Auto Zone!

I’m in a wheelchair and it’s hard to navigate and run an “in and out” errand. They came out to the car and shopped online with me, brought the different options out to show me, and then brought my purchase to me after I checked out online for in store pick up. I will be returning to this store loyally. We have several vehicles and random upgrades are a regular occurrence, as well as wheelchair parts and repair (for a power chair) are available through them. They’ve got a customer for life!

Went in for a simple return with receipt in hand.. 45 min later, the employee was still on the phone with corporate and made no progress. I ended up telling them to just keep the returned item as it was only worth $15 bucks and I walked out.

I went in for a battery check and the young lady was very rude!!! She didn't speak and when I told her why I was there she handed me the machine to take outside to a worker that was obviously on his break. I saw the man when I pulled in, but he was on his phone and smoking a cigarette so he opened the door to let me in and I said hello... I then walked to the counter and spoke, and told her why I was there... she rudely grabbed a battery machine, handed it to me and said " go take this to that man outside" (which confused me) I walked out and gave it to him and he was still smoking and on his phone... he looked just as confused as me! I uncomfortably said "I'm sorry she handed it to me and said give it to you" he still smoking and on the phone told me to look under my hood and said my battery was dead. But he never checked the battery!!!! I'll never deal with that auto zone again!!!! It was rude and very unpleasant and unprofessional! I'm just as lost as I was when I got there!!!!!

Wow what can I see here for a review? I mean its a parts store for your car I mean pretty basic but the concern that I had was cuz I had a deer that jumped on my hood and I needed to get a new one guess what they don't sell them to the general public. The guy said that I need to have a merchant account in order to order one same thing went for the fender as well.

I had to replace my girlfriends headlight a few weeks ago and I went here to do that. The people working there were very nice. I stated I needed to replace a headlight and they walked me through that process and gave me some tips on how that can be done. Genuinely happy for their help.

I visited the store today and I had a great experience. Everyone was friendly and provided quick service. I was really frustrated and stressed out over this piece of junk and Xavier went above and beyond to make sure I left with my problem fixed. He even put in the work himself, even though it was a reliability. Too bad he wouldn't allow me to tip. I give it 6 stars! Thank you!
