Steve is the best mechanic ever his worked on my japenese car a very complicated car he did an amazing job. He has also replaced every part on my grand am including the engine and tranny. He is honest and has always helped me out many times. We are very lucky to have him in town.

Was on a cross country road trip, had a check engine light come on. They got us right in, turned out it was something simple and they had us out the door in 5 minutes at no cost. Wish I lived closer because this is the only place I would go. Thank you so much for your kind service!

I went in to have them look at some problems I was having with my car. They took the time to look at it right away and was very honest in their diagnosis. I was able to get my car in the next day and was pleasantly surprised that a part that they originally thought I might need, I didn’t. They subtracted the price. They are friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating!! They are the best!

If you're looking for honest people to work on your car or truck. Steve's is the place to go. I once over heard Steve tell a customer, "Your part is under warranty. You can take back where you got it and they'll just change it, or I can charge you if I do it. Your choice" After that I knew this was the right place to bring my car. Second time around he saved me thousands on a car fire. I wouldn't go anywhere else in town. Thank you Steve and faculty for giving us a great experience. Keep up the great work everyone. Oh and he also figured out a shut off problem with my wife's truck that some other automotive shop couldn't fix for two days. Just saying.

Got them from a referral from a friend. Had a car emergency and had the car towed to the shop. They got back to me with the problem and a few different options. Needless to say I ended up junking the car to them for a fair price. Everything priced out and and all in all it was a good experience. Will definitely recommend to anyone out that way.

I wouldn't trust my vehicle with anyone else in this town. They are honest, experienced and very fair. They won't fix it or tell you it needs fixed unless it truly needs it to be fixed. Customer satisfaction comes first to these guys. I highly recommend Steve's Complete Automotive

Have used this mechanic for over 20 years. Zero complaints about how he does business. Honest, straightforward, and loaded with integrity. I moved away 8 years ago and this garage is the sole thing I missed about Rochelle. Any MAJOR issues I have I will gladly make the 50 mile drive to have Steve fix my vehicle.

My first time being here and it was a great experience. They got my oil change done for a good price, got my headlight swapped out at no charge and checked the codes in my car. They were helpful and the lady up front is real nice. I'll be back

Everyone wants to complain about their mechanic. Truth is it's a rough business and they get blamed for things that aren't their fault. Steve's has always tried to be upfront and honest with me and they have gotten me in as quickly as possible everytime I call. It's a small shop that services all kinds. Prices are normal to low quality of work is good. No one is perfect but they try and that's what matters to me.

I posted this today on Facebook........I'm disgusted with a local dealership. Last year they told me that my car needed a new catalytic converter. It would be at least $3,000. I said forget it, my car is getting old. I said I'd drive it a little loud. Son Adam had his truck in recently at Steve's Automotive in Rochelle Illinois, I asked on a lark about my car. I told him what the dealership said. He said "you probably won't need to do that, you may need a patch or a rebuilt converter, I won't know until I look". Well I had an appointment there today. All it needed was a flex pipe. $255.00 was all I paid for everything. Within two hours it was done. I was talking to both sons and said that reallying made me mad. The dealership tried to take advantage of me. I'm tight with a dollar. I wonder how many times they succeeded in intimidating older women..

From the start of our transmission trouble to the joyous conclusion, Steve and his crew were with us all the way.
We were traveling through Illinois on our way to Wisconsin pulling a 25' toy hauler with a GMC Yukon when we stopped for gas in Rochelle only to find that when we finished pumping we had no forward gear. The lady behind us in line (Tammy) was nice enough to help us back out from the pump and told us what most people in Rochelle already know.
If you want it done right, Steve's the man for the job.
We were stranded in the Walmart parking lot Monday night, so Steve and his son helped us get to a campground for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Had a rebuilt transmission installed on Wednesday that he drove to pickup personally and delivered our car to us at the campground Wednesday night.
We can't thank his crew enough for helping us on our way and if you live anywhere near Rochelle you know how lucky you are to have Steve.

You can count on good honest work at a reasonable price. When our previous mechanic passed away, Steve's was recommended to us by multiple friends. Some of them travel quite a distance to have their cars worked on at this shop. While car repair is never cheap (and a good workman is worth his wage), you can count on being treated fairly there.

Steve's automotive is a great place, they always do excellent work. We had tune up on our 07 caliber he did the brakes, rotors, control arms, tie rods cross frame both front and rear. He did an amazing job. Car rides like it's brand new again

i trusted them- i gave them a 'blank check' to make sure it was safe to drive my service dog to MA. The air-conditioning was not working- they sent me to the store- it was still cold out- to buy a can of die- and i let it drain out- i spent 300- they said the compressor was good- i am 1000 miles away- i went to use the air the first time it was warm!!!!!!!! I took it in and the compressor is not good!!!!!!! Another 800-900- that would have been great to know in IL

they do not care if they fix it right-

Very professional, knowledgeable and fast. Steve's Complete Automotive repaired a damaged tire for me, quickly, effectively and fairly. I was traveling from out of town and needed immediate emergency help. They had my tire fixed and on my way in less than an hour, for a fair and reasonable price. Thank you, Steve's!

Whoever did my oil change did not correctly do their job. They must have no dumped out all the oil and ended up putting in about 2 to 3 extra quarts. Which ended up suffocating our engine and ruining our coolant temperature sensor. It was causing out car not run properly and not start up well and more. If we didn't get it checked out when we did, we would have blew our engine because our temperature guage wasn't reading that our car was overheating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY. they cant even do a simple oil change correctly. I will be going in to complain in person as well because this should not have happened. They also didn't replace the oil filter and charged me like $15 more and any other place charges.

Very friendly and courteous. Offered me a ride since it was going to be a couple hours. Only complaint is I heard they wouldn't round up to the next full hour. I was charged 2 hours and service took 1 1/2. Maybe that's the norm and that's fine, I heard otherwise. I would still go back as they came highly recommended.

These people are old school - HONEST AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. They will not fix stuff that doesn't need fixing! They tell you exactly what part is needed and they give you the option of having then order it or you can buy it and take it to them.

When I bought my AC condenser, they even talked to the parts store when I went in to buy it to make sure I was buying the correct part! My car was fixed and I was able to save money on the part by buying it myself!

I will forever continue to call Steve's Automotive my mechanic!

Steve's Automotive is a great place to go. We have been going to them for years they are the first place I go to when I need something fixed. My transmission went out in my vehicle orderd a new one and dropped it off their they fixed it that day for $500. I haven't had any problems since. They are great at finding out what's wrong with your car and getting you back on the road as quick as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Our truck broke down on the way to KY (transmission blew). Steve's not only fixed our vehicle, but the staff were extremely helpful in finding a rental car so we could finish our trip. (We picked up the truck on our way home.) We would definitely recommend Steve's.

I took my car to Steve's this morning. They solved an oil leak, fixed the AC, sent someone for a light bulb, and got me on the road again quickly for $25. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable, and Steve will explain your problems to you helpfully, not like you're a idiot who doesn't know anything about cars. They've been my mechanic for a few years now, & I'll come here every time.

Steve's had years of experience. I trust him with my major repairs before anyone else. And they are affordable. I wish his customers didn't take advantage of him, they use to work with you but people abused it. Best place in town for minor and major repairs.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. Our car broke down in Mendota, IL (about 15 minutes away). Had to get towed to a repair shop in Mendota, they jumped our battery and sent us on our way. When we got back on the road we could tell something wasn't right so pulled off in Rochelle and found Steve's Complete Automotive. We arrived at 4:58PM (they close at 5) and pulled into the parking lot and our car died. They had the best customer service and quickly diagnosed the problem and arranged for the part to be delivered that night. The whole crew stayed after work to fix our car and we were back on the road in an hour! I would highly recommend Steve's Complete Automotive and would gladly return if we were from the area. Thank you so much!!

We have always gotten fast, quality service from Steve's! He does a great job repairing our vehicles and does it in a timely manner. He even gives us rides if we need them. We are always quick to recommend Steve's Complete Automotive to our friends and family!

Had a car not start and had it towed to Steve's. They diagnosed the fuel pump and replaced for $550.00. They called me up said it was done and ready to go. Once I got there the car still didn't start. Exact same problem as before we brought it there. We did get it started and car wouldn't start the next morning. Car got towed again the next day to a different mechanic.

Only upside is that I called there and they were willing to offer a discount on the service. Still got charged something and got nothing out of it.
