Shout out to RUTHIE at the nanakuli island recycling. who went above and beyond with excellent customer service.

The workers are friendly and they make sure you get your money worth recycling

I take the time to segregate my bottles to get the most out of my recycling with 17oz or less which gets 1.315 and mixed bottles get 0.94 anything greater than 17oz. They lumped everything as mixed bottles and ripped me off. Watch what they do and read your receipt. I would rate them less if I could.

Seems like every time I come, the more I bring but less I get back. The employees move the bins off the scale so fast so you can't see the weight and when you ask them to put it back on so you can see the weight, they throw attitude and tell you "get other people waiting".... SO WHAT, I was here waiting for my turn, now it's time for me to get serviced and you rushing, NO!! Just do your job the right way please, no gyp us.

Better off going to the one in kapolei. Inefficient system here and the attendants are fresh out of Aloha

Depending on days n times they are fast days we wait awhile to move up.

NANAKULI Site - Fast, helpful and friendly services. They also keep their place pretty clean for a recycle kiosk.

The workers were very explainable and helpful on getting in and out of establishment great timing only one person unloading then me will be quick. Mahalo

Easy,fast,convenient but you need to go early if one heck of a line your going to be waiting awhile lol

I like to take my recyclables to Island Recycling. Sometimes there is a line that is super long, but the drive thru system works.

The ladies (& guys too) here are friendly and helpful.

Turned in 380lbs of aluminum and they only gave us $45!! I’ve turned in a whole recycling trash bin full of cans and bottles and have gotten more!!! Straight rip off!!! This is why no one cares about recycling because you don’t benefit from it and should just throw it in the regular trash.

The website says their lunch is from 12-1230, but they didn't re-open till almost 1. Staff is kinda friendly, depends who's working.

Recycling not as advertised!!! Were only interested in cans, bottles and plastic beverage containers that qualified for the Hawaii 5c deposit return. NO cardboard, NO glass containers, NO paper, NO plastics. Their mission statement of 'keeping Hawaii clean' seems not to apply across the board. What a shame!!
