What clients say about Richards Auto Salvage in Austell (GA)
Sign outside business states “open at 830”
I arrive with no one there.
Sign on entrance says out to lunch. It’s 9 am.
Called and “call can not be completed”
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Terrible communication with this guy about parts for my car. Finally got there no one was there that knew how to do anything they end up calling the guy who owns it and the Guy wanted $100 for seven bolts ended up going to pull apart. They gave it to me for free!! The whole place was just terrible communication. Rude would not recommend at all
They were very communicative and kind with organizing the pickup and the pick up person (Alberto) even made sure to wait with me for the payment to process. I would recommend them to anyone!
I had an excellent experience! Got what I needed at a very good price. The staff were professional and proficient. I plan to get other part I might need from this company. I’ve already referred a friend and she is grateful I did.
Real bad place to do business with these company no trustworthy people and recommend to any person who’s willing to do business with them and the towing company they have I regret my decisions with them and I pay the price.
Make sure y’all check your catalytic converter to see if it’s original or aftermarket. Josh came out and said that mines was aftermarket and tried to offer me less money, which my catalytic converter is original. He also came with $1 less than the offer I was given, thinking I was going to accept it.
Today I just called over there to Richard's Auto Salvage and spoke to a guy and proceeded to ask him if they had any oil dipsticks for a 2007 Chrysler 300 the guy tells me yes they do it would be $40 I repeated myself to ensure that we were on the same page he confirmed that we were and then restated that the amount would be $40 which is completely absurd and then asked me how much I would like to pay of which I said like maybe $3 or 7 and he told me to call Pull-A-Parts now I've been doing business with Richard's Auto Salvage for many many years but I will never do business with them again.
This review is in reference to the guy who towed my car(Devonte) I'm sure he is the best tow man Richard's has. Thank you for doing your job with integrity, he called with a price and eta and arrived as stated. My car went dead but he still got it out the driveway with no attitude 🙌 Kudos to you 👏 I'm sending him fruit by the way lol make sure you guys store it in the fridge. He deserves the best 😁
There is a man who works here one of the owners sons his name is Macai very disrespectful bad customer service hung up on me twice asked him for the manager he said he was the owner and hung up again. Only refunded me for one part after he said he would refund me for two then tried to say I was trying him when all I was doing was trying to figure out my refund told him the parts I needed asked if they had it he said yes never got me the right part had to take it back twice and still nothing
Josh did a great job with helping me find the part I needed quickly he knew exactly where things was around the yard. After getting my part the mechanic Will gave me a bunch of knowledge on how to replace my tail light and even gave me a helping hand. Which he did not have to do, I offered him a tip and he rejected it and said no problem have a nice day. Just a all around great guy. Cheers to you Will !
I purchased several parts and a couple I didn’t need for the front end of my wife’s beloved Infiniti.
Pair of head lights, one was bad, but not the one I needed.
Good, main reason for other purchases, worked out well.
Top radiator support harness with lights support bracket....this is where the issue came in. I knew it had to be cut, drivers side was correct, passenger side was butchered.
Spoke with owner and was told verbatim,”old car, it is what it is”. I deal with over 100 customers a day in my business, but it is not always it is what it is.
Totally can’t use this part without a lot of modifications. I moved here a years ago and was looking for a reputable and dependable salvage yard as my business fixes these things for people with low income.
I shall continue my search.
The Owner whom I was told and spoke with is Marty.
I ask him about the situation and he said I will put you through with the salesmen that helped you....boom, off the line.
I wasn’t interested in talking to Angel, already did that and was put to the supposedly owner who pushed me back.
I purchase between 110-160,000 dollars worth of used parts a year and thought I found a good spot for quality. We have all been wrong at some point. Go elsewhere.
Horrible to deal with. They sold me the wrong part for my customers car. Asked to have it picked up for a refund for over a week. All I got was excuses. At the end they only offer store credit for a part they shipped wrong. We will never do business with them again. I strongly urge you to to do the same. I would leave less stars if possible! See from the response below that it's just more games and BS Excuses. This is wha $106.00 means to them. Buyer beware!
Needed a tail light lens for my car. The first website I checked wanted $50, but Richard's Auto Parts only charged $35 for the same part. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends!
They are not super friendly.. I debated on telling the whole sheriffs department not to come here. But i wont bother!! A lady that I spoke too went and got someone else on the phone (male) and was horrible customer service. I know i will skip them next time
I had been a customer over the last several years and purchased a part for a Suzuki. The part ended up being defective and, for $35 and less than a month after purchasing it, I thought there would be no issue with returning the item for a refund or, at worst, a credit.
I ended up getting told two stories in 5 minutes. The first was that the part, a brake master cylinder, was non-refundable. When I told the employee that I had no past issues with returning parts that were defective if I did so within 30 days, he then told me that I couldn't return the part unless I had a receipt.
I told him that he already has a record of the transaction under my account, but he told me that doesn't matter. For a 30 mile drive to get stiffed over a $35 part, I would think that my time and money would be better spent.
Everyone was really helpful here. Said they had a wrecked police Charger that may have my part. They even pointed me in the right direction to it. I found the car on my way out with the part needed. I pulled it off myself and got a great deal on it.
Will go back for more parts if needed.
Laughing out loud at this place! The service desk woman was really polite and the guy who answered the phone was very rude and hung up on my face. I called back and another guy answered the phone and I told him about the man who was rude and this guy was very understanding. That man needs to straighten up his attitude no matter how many people he's dealt with in a day.
I can't speak on the other reviews but my experience was cool. ...can't remember names but one and that was Denise. ...the guy with the beard up front was very helpful. ..I have been searching for a center console for my truck for a long time..they had it...price was real great...will return for other things...thanks guys
Called this business with a simple question. The lady who first answered the phone and asked me to hold was pleasant & courteous. Then a male answered the phone asking me what I needed. My question to him was simply "Do you have any 2001 Ford F-150's with the 4.2L engine?" He then asked me, "What do you need? An Engine?" I said no sir. He then stated with an attitude, "I need to know what you need before I tell you if I have any of those trucks.... I just don't let people onto the yard without knowing what they need!" I then told him that I need several parts and was just calling to see if they had the available trucks to pull from before I wasted my time driving there. He then told me to make a list and then he would tell me if he had any trucks. I then told him to never mind and that I would just call someone else. I have read all the previous negative complaints and was surprised to get treated like this over the phone. I've been to this business once before about 3 years ago and purchased a hitch for my truck. That was a pleasant experience and even removed the hitch myself. The mechanic on-duty even loaned me the tools to pull it. This man's demeanor was rude and un-professional and because of this issue I will no longer purchase parts from this business. Nor will I ever refer any friends there as well!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first experience with them wasn't very pleasant, I don't want to say it's because of my race but now I'm thinking other wise. Whomever I talked to on the phone wanted to challenge me about a part I purchased which is still 9 days within the warranty(which I don't understand why you give a 30 day warranty if you're going to try and go back and forth with a customer when they are still within the time frame to get the part replaced) because the part was a piece of crap that did not work(says my mechanic). This person was not very professional and I should have left the minute I walked in because I felt unwelcomed from the beginning. I will never come here again! Wish I would have read the Google reviews first, 3 years later and they still suck!
