Very disappointed. I was assured a solid offer on the phone. Then was told I can only get half that much when they came to get the vehicle. I was told that my catalytic converter was not the original factory part. After much haggling, I finally gave in to $75 less than what they had promised me on the phone. Very deceptive business practice I should’ve waited till next week and try a different company. Think twice before using them.

Scam artists! Only let them take my car because it had to be removed from the parking lot it was in that night. They quoted $500 over phone. I had a feeling the offer would change after they came to tow it. And my hunch was correct, all of a sudden my catalytic converter was an “after market” part. I know I never had work done on that part of the car. But, I nor my husband had time to argue. They cut the offer in half to $250! Again we only allowed them to take it because we were in a bind. Do your research before having them get your car. The reviews have other customers who didnt get any $ at all or were low balled once the driver came to get the vehicle! Would not recommend & would give 0 stars if able!

Such a horrible experience dealing with this company. After how All Car Buys has treated me, I regret my decision to work with them (or even talk to them) at all. I would have preferred a lower price from someone with a shred of integrity. Nobody should have to defend themselves from slimeballs like this company is made of. They're borderline scammers. They work as a whole team to take your junk vehicle for less than they offer you on the phone. I won't waste my time trying to explain it (see their other reviews, iykyk), but if you don't know then please please please just save yourself. Even though it's (probably) not outright fraud, it's definitely deceptive, dishonest, and disrespectful. They go as far past unfair as they can, only stopping short of anything obviously illegal. This company, and the people who work here, DO NOT CARE about you, nor their impact on you. The only things they care about are taking your car (while also paying you less than a fair price, if they can get away with it) and maintaining an image that allows them to continue their sleazy practice. I can only hope they are shut down or expire soon. In the meantime, I'm posting this review in the hopes I can help even just one person avoid falling prey to these predators. Please, SAVE YOURSELF and RUN away. Don't talk to these people, don't call them, just move on and avoid this company like it's a covid strain with a 600 foot social distancing radius.

Omg!! Just saw a review and they did the same bait and switch tactic to me. They said the exact same thing about my catalytic converter which I had completely replaced brand new. They said the original had expensive metals the new one did not. Then telling me if I go with another private seller I might pay title fees and so its safer with a legit company. They said $500 over the phone then gave me a $200 offer and settled at $360 cause I honestly got played y’all, this guy Agosto was hella smooth saying he told his boss Carlos that the car starts even though it didn’t to get me a better deal. Ain’t gonna lie as a woman I got played forreal forreal and I just had to leave a review to hopefully help at least one person not fall into this scam. Gotta give it to them they are professionals at the lies and making it seem like they are “helping you” after getting the cash and sitting in my thoughts I realized holy crap they played me like a fiddle. I’m usually not one to fall into this but they got me good. I want my $140 dollars to complete the $500 offer that was promised. Y’all can make things right with me and Imma change this review. If you see no change to my review and you reading this STAY AWAY cause they good at scamming y’all. Look up junk car bait and switch scammers and this is them. To report them and have their google listing removed select About then report and I selected legal issue & misleading content, you can select the ones you experienced. They are breaking the CFPB laws and UDAAP laws. Rights created to protect us Consumers. The bait and switch junk car scam typically involves advertising a high price for junk cars to attract sellers but then offering a much lower price once the seller is engaged. This practice can violate Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) regulations and Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) laws in several ways: Deceptive Advertising: By advertising a misleadingly high price, the scam misrepresents the terms of the transaction, which is considered deceptive under UDAAP. Lack of Transparency: Failing to disclose the true valuation process for the junk car can mislead consumers, violating transparency requirements enforced by the CFPB. Unfair Practices: The scam takes advantage of consumers' lack of knowledge about the value of their vehicles, which can be deemed an unfair practice, as it exploits their trust. Overall, this scam undermines consumer rights and protections, prompting regulatory scrutiny. Update ******** they reached out through text on 10/08/2024 and are fully not responding to me.
