Orlando Import Auto Specialists has earned my repeat business. First, high praise for anyone willing to accept the challenge of working on a 31 year old Honda sports car: a rare unfamiliar car, with old plastics and other age weakened materials and hard to source parts. The problem to be fixed was a half discharged A/C system that was barely cooling. Eugene, who worked on my car, did a respectable job checking for leaks and correcting the problem. Further, he was careful not to damage anything and returned my car in perfect condition (no new scratches, scuffs, or dirty smudges anywhere.) Additionally, Eugene was kind enough to mention that he noticed the engine radiator cooling fan was operating intermittently. After some rather involved troubleshooting I was able to isolate the cause to a failing Fan Controller Module. I want to personally thank Eugene for making me aware of the problem, which likely saved me from a very costly overheated engine repair.
These guys are like your buddies you’ve known for years that happen to own a car repair shop. I called them up, told them I needed a new battery for my hybrid (not the hybrid battery yet). They ordered it, I dropped the car off, done later that day. Always excellent service, always reasonable, always good to do business with them. They are “my mechanics” and I recommend them all the time.
I cannot thank you enough for restoring my faith in mechanics! I’ve had this recurring issue of engine light coming on and off since last year for my Honda Fit and I’ve gone to three different mechanics saying different things. I neglected the issues until I decided to give them a chance. It was not a cheap repair by any means, but it surely put life back into my very first car. I had an issue exactly one week after I got my car fixed (just old battery). I panicked and drove back to the shop, and they were able to assist me right away and diagnose the problem (Again, just old battery.) I had such bad anxiety, but Jack was so calm and kind in jumping my car back up and helping me get back on the road. I really appreciated that. I dropped off my ‘09 Civic for a safety inspection and quote for repairs. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the report, which came over itemized with repair estimates, photos, and even impact statements.
The communication was incredible, and remarkably attentive to my concerns, so I decided to move forward with the recommended repairs on a busy holiday weekend. The quoted price was reasonable - I didn’t shop it around, but I did research average costs for similar work - and during the course of the repairs, no new costs came up.
Repairs did require one extra day due to worse-than-expected wear to one part, which required a new one to be rushed over - but again, communication was excellent and the shop did a great job to ensure the delay was minimal. I appreciate the urgency.
When I picked up the car, they told me the car had been driven and tested thoroughly, and reminded me that parts and labor are covered by a 2 year warranty. They also brought up my initial concerns, noting how they had been addressed. They also included excellent documentation of the job, all of which is available electronically in addition to the printed receipt. My total came in a tiny bit below the initial estimate, and the car is testifying to the efficacy and necessity of the job in feel and sound.
While car maintenance is never cheap, I’m very impressed with the quality and communication from this shop. It’s busy for a reason.
The staff is kind and the quality of service that I received is wonderful. At other places I have gone to in the past, the front desk employees did not take me seriously and I have received insulting comments since I am personally not well versed in car mechanics; at this establishment, however, the people I talked to were very patient in explaining things and they were very professional. I found the pricing fair for the work that I had done.
I have finally found an honest and incredible mechanic/team. From the moment I scheduled my appointment, Dereck & his team made sure my car was being taken care of for such affordable pricing!! I appreciate their transparency so much when it comes to pricing. I would always go back & forth with previous mechanics over pricing since they would always say one thing and end up with another price, but not here! I can confidently say this is my spot from now on.
These guys are the best! Friendly, professional, and incredibly skilled. I never bring my BMW or Audi to the dealer because they do a better, quicker, and more cost-effective job. Plus, they always follow up and send service reminders. I can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend!

I have been using Orlando Import Auto for over 15 years Recently had wheel bearings replaced on my Subaru . They did an excellent job. They have always been honest and have fair pricing and do not try to talk you into unnecessary repairs. In fact will tell you if certain repairs or maintenance can wait until the next service.
I was referred to Derek and John at Orlando Auto Imports for a repair on my 2017 Camry.
From the moment I called to make an appointment I was met with knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly personnel. After I explained on the phone the issue with my car, the Team member I was talking to immediately knew what the problem was.
When I brought the car in I receiveda a quick estimate of the cost of the repairs and I actually wound up paying less than what I was originally told.
My friend who referred me to Orlando Auto Imports has been going to them for over 10 years and she said she wouldn’t go anywhere else. She’s always received top service from them. So I’m here to tell you I feel exactly the way my friend does and I plan to go to Orlando auto imports for all my auto repairs needs in the future.
The crew at Orlando Import Auto Specialists are friendly and usually great at working on the normal, every day stuff (oil changes, brakes, etc.). But it fell apart when I needed a major A/C repair done to my car.
I had a leak in my car that caused refrigerant to drain faster than normal, which ended up causing issues at the start of summer this year. They ended up trying to refill the refrigerant and claimed they got it cooling better but recommended I replace the compressor because they thought it was performing weak (I later find out it might’ve been but it wasn’t the underlying issue). That’s a very expensive replacement so I just took the car as they left it until I was ready to decide on next steps and call it a day.
After picking the car up I found that not only was the A/C not improved, it was somehow worse than before. I called back to ask the team about it and, while they did offer to take the car back the next day, they were still confident in their assessment and were adamant that the issue wouldn’t be resolved until I replaced the compressor. Something felt off about this whole interaction so I took the car to a trusted friend in my home town.
To make a long story short: we found the leak was in the evaporator, not the compressor (or condenser which would’ve been next on the list according to their recommendations). I ended up getting this diagnosis confirmed and the repair done at the dealership that the car originally came from.
I’m severely disappointed in the team. I typically trusted their assessments and respected their expertise, especially because their friendly service is top notch. But their confidence in their mistake completely broke that trust for me. If they couldn’t confirm the issue, I would’ve much preferred to hear the truth even if that meant having to be referred to another mechanic or team (to their credit the issue was very difficult to find). Instead I was quoted two immensely expensive part replacements that would’ve crippled me financially had I blindly followed their plan.
In a nutshell: I really like them for small, routine jobs. When you need a major repair, I would look elsewhere.
Very friendly polite people work here. Very honest also. Was told by another place ( I won’t mention names) that I need work done that would cost $1000. Took my car straight to Import auto specialist and they told me nothing was wrong with my car. No charge. I left a happy camper.
I would highly recommend this auto shop and have already done so to a friend after my visit.
They are very welcoming and friendly, they are always happy to walk you through the work they do and are very hands on. The communication is above and beyond any other auto body shop that I have worked with.
The work that they did perform was very good quality and fixed exactly what they said it would. I will definitely be coming back in the future for any other service for my car

I’ve been going to Orlando Import Auto Specialist for 9 years, and I can honestly say they’re the best in the business. Corey, Jack, and the entire team of mechanics have worked on all of my cars—including my 2015 Lexus ES350—with exceptional skill, care, and professionalism. Their work is always thorough, honest, and reliable.
Even after relocating to Spring Hill, Florida, I still make the 2-hour drive just to bring my cars to them. That alone speaks volumes. When you find a trustworthy and knowledgeable shop, you stick with them—and that’s exactly what I’ve done. I give them a 10 out of 10 and five stars for their outstanding mechanic work. Still a very happy and satisfied customer to this day!
Corey, Jack and the team are communicative the whole time my car was in their hands which is usually no more than a day or two depending on the issue. I have been taking our cars to them for over 10 years. I highly recommend them for their straightforwardness, competence and reasonable pricing. The brake lights stayed on and drained my battery. My car is 23 yrs old and having stuck brake lights is a first for me.
Best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. I’m a female and have been screwed over in the past, so I’m extremely grateful for the opposite! Alongside their proficient communication skills, their online links they send you give an excellent description of your vehicle and their suggestions of what needs TLC. Quick, straight to the point, and willingness to work with you. Even in areas where they may have missed something, they are apologetic and willing to correct. I highly recommend this shop, as their team is polite and not like any other.
We took our car in for an oil change and tune up and had a great experience. My appointment was set up quickly and everyone I spoke with was very nice, friendly and informative. The work was completed in a clean and timely manner and I didn’t get a long list of more things to fix like you do at dealerships. The car feels like a brand new car when driven and I will definitely be back when the car needs a future service.
