Absolutely outrageous. They charged me over $400 to tow a stolen motorcycle that was already recovered by the police. On top of that, they slapped on a $250 “Lien Release Fee”, which is nothing short of a scam. This company takes advantage of people in stressful situations. Total abuse and predatory pricing. If you ever have a choice, stay far away from this place.

Clearly, they would rather not have you recover your items so then can steal them..

They are thieves and then the police doesn't want even do a report the news channel 6 should get involved and put them out there so sad that we work for hard for our things and this company broke windows of my car and stole personal items and the police won't do nothing and my wife's blanket on the floor next to my car with all evidence

recently had a disheartening experience with Riker Automotive in Kissimmee and Riker's Roadside. Despite being only two weeks late on my car payment, my vehicle was repossessed without any prior notice. They had the correct phone number on file but somehow called a different number, leading to unnecessary complications, including my car being reported as stolen before it was finally marked as repossessed. When I arrived at Riker's Collision & Tow Company on East Landstreet Road, I saw my car but was advised by my parents not to take matters into my own hands. Communicating with Riker's and VCA Financial, located in Kissimmee, was a nightmare. Despite informing Raymond at VCA Financial of my new job and upcoming paycheck, I was met with no empathy or willingness to work with me. The tow truck driver, Luis, and a representative from Riker Automotive, Robert, were also involved. Robert, who initially pretended not to know Raymond and Luis, later mentioned their names, revealing their connection. After much pleading, I ended up paying over $500 in additional fees to have my car released. This ordeal has been deeply disappointing.

Honestly this place deserves 0 stars and need to be shut down immediately. Owner charges you extra feeds if he feel like it. He told me my tow company I called couldn’t come on their yard and charged me $75 because me and him had an argument because the lady at the window I believe her name is Janice is very rude! Her mouth is slick and she doesn’t like to help after telling her I don’t wanna deal with her she called the manager and he also was very rude after I told him how unprofessional they are he got upset and told me he’s going to charge me more! They refused to give me an invoice and/or show me what I had to pay.

Charged over 400.00 to tow my vehicle including a lien release fee of 250.00. Exorbitant to say the least. Ripping people off that have a vehicle involved in a collision. The towing industry needs to be regulated!

Terrible customer service, Janet(?) that works there is horrible and very rude. Read the reviews, this place is beyond unprofessional. NOTE: I will not call the out of town number to clear up any 'miscommunication' or 'misunderstandings'. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!

They towed my truck from parking lot. When I called they have no info at all. That means extra charge daily. They can’t even give you the rates over the phone. Who carries so much cash nowadays? It’s scam ripping off. Seriously people needs get together and sue them.

Rude and extremely unprofessional! Would give zero and report to BBB if I thought it would make a difference but they’ve got contracts obviously so they’re going to do as they please. If you have a choice though…stay away. The office manager could really use a lesson in being a decent human being let alone customer service.

I would give it 0 stars if possible. The other reviews on here are correct. They are rude and unprofessional. They tell you one thing, then another when you arrive. They won't release their pricing. Surprise fees when you arrive. Don't tell you you have to pay cash until you arrive. It's a horrible experience. I agree that the police should absolutely stop using these people. It's horrible for anyone to go through an accident and then afterwards be treated this way.

A Disappointing Encounter with the Towing Industry Rating: (1/5) I recently had a very frustrating experience with a local towing company. I understand the need for towing companies in our society and recognize that they provide a vital service. However, it's disheartening when these companies appear to take advantage of situations, seemingly prioritizing their profits over the customer’s needs and well-being. From my experience, it felt like the towing company was intentionally attempting to prolong the release of my vehicle. This behavior, I can only surmise, was aimed at increasing their charges as the fees piled up over time. While I recognize that businesses need to make money, exploiting customers in their time of need leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Moreover, I couldn’t help but sense a questionable relationship between the towing company and the state troopers present at the scene. When a friend arrived with the intention to tow my vehicle away, thus saving me from the impending charges, the officer on duty insisted this was not permissible. This seemed odd and raised suspicions about potential kickbacks between the law enforcement and towing companies. In a society where we value fairness and transparency, such occurrences are disconcerting. We rely on both the towing companies and the law enforcement to act in our best interest, not to leverage our predicaments for financial gain. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a negative perception of this particular towing company and, in some respects, the towing industry as a whole. I hope my experience is not the norm, and that other companies prioritize customer service and ethical business practices. I would recommend anyone in need of a tow to be vigilant and research local companies thoroughly before selecting one. In conclusion, I believe it's crucial that the towing industry operates transparently and treats its customers with fairness and respect. This experience was disheartening, but it serves as a reminder of the importance of holding companies accountable for their actions.

These people are a ripoff and the lady at the front is beyond rude and disgusting. Run from them...don't walk. They wanted to charge me aost $500 for one night storage and to tow it to my house. I used an alternate towing company with a much better price. They tried to charge me $50 just to bring the bike out from their yard which was 20 feet away. I was hospitalized but they still would not allow someone else to pick up the motorcycle, unless the had a notorized letter from me. How do you get something notorized while in a hospital. Therefore, I had to drag my beat up injured self just to avoid the moutain of fees they wanted to pile on. Horrible people! The Sherrif had the vehicle towed there otherwise I would NEVER do business with them.

Amazing owner, amazing staff -- very impressed with the service we received from this company!! Anyone leaving negative reviews obviously doesn't understand liability issues companies like this have to deal with on a daily basis. Rules and statutes exist for a reason, and it's usually for YOUR safety, folks. No one is purposely trying to make your life difficult. Just play nice, read the instructions and follow the rules. No problem. Again, highly recommend this company to all.

OMG!!! The lady Janet was the ABSOLUTE RUDEST PERSON IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!! I’ve been in business for 28 years and I’ve NEVER experience someone as disrespectful as she was‼ For absolutely NO REASON AT ALL!! If I can give a negative stars I would!! This place is totally unexpected!!!!
May 25, 2021 -
If I could give negative stars I would. One lady in the phone was extremely nice. And Vic, was extremely nice as well, very helpful and compassionate. The lady at the pick up window was rude, condescending, and just downright awful. Terrible place, terrible employees with the exception of the aforementioned 2.

On Sunday I was in a bad accident that involved someone rear ending me and pushing my car into a fence. My insurance told me to let the state troopers tow my vehicle since it was not drive-able. The state trooper informed me that the car would be towed to Rykers. I spoke with my insurance and told them where it was going and they informed me to go to Rykers in the morning and release the vehicle to my insurance so they could come and get it and to go ahead and get my belongings out of the vehicle while I was there. I went to Rykers Monday morning and gave them all my information. Drivers license, wreck info from the troopers, signed their log book and a form stating that I allowed them to release the vehicle to my insurance and the company that was coming to pick up my vehicle on behalf of my insurance. I asked the ladies at the window SEVERAL times to make sure that it was okay for them to come and get my car and that it was properly released. The women at the window said yes everything was fine and allowed me to get my belongings out of my car. Yesterday, Tuesday, I receive a call from my insurance stating that Rykers was claiming I did not release my car and that the guys from the company on behalf of my insurance were turned away. My insurance informed me that a woman named Janet turned them away. I called Rykers myself and spoke to Janet myself and asked her why she would not release my car after I released it. She said "uh uh hold on" and put me on hold for approximately 4 minutes. Then she comes back on the phone and says no its fine they can come and get the car. So I asked why did you not allow it in the first place? She said they had 5 other cars that were all Hondas. Really? I find that hard to believe that you have 5 other Hondas with the same insurance, my name, brand, make, color, and model. I believe this company wanted my car in the lot for another night to make extra money and I do not appreciate the time wasted by them. I would give them no stars if I had the chance. I did everything that was asked of me and provided all documentation and so did my insurance. This is a cheap company that screws people and I see and understand why they have the low rating that they do.

These people are complete animals!!! I called and they told me $125 cash to get my car and then ended up charging me $511 and he refused to play back his video footage of someone coming out to meet me at the yard that told me that info and denied the whole thing so he can scam people (the manger). He was yelling me at while I was crying and did not even listen to what I had to say. Oh and did I mention that my car was even more damaged than when they had towed it from the accident scene, it had a leak from when it was picked up by their truck. DO NOT USE THEM, ABSOLUTE ANIMALS !!! I see where all the horrible reviews are coming from.

These people are anal and unprofessional. They will not release vehicles to the insurance company and expect the vehicle owner to sign a release that has to be notarized at the owner's expense. This is a tactic used by rinky dinky tow yards such as theirs, to continue to rack up daily fees at the expense of the owner and insurance companies, at their discretion. They refuse to even give their fees over the phone and want to first get your vehicle and then you will get your rates with your bill. If you get into an accident and they show up, call your insurance company and request a reputable tow company; it's your right! Even if the police call their tow company, request someone else. Their staff is rude and uncaring. It's unfortunate that the Hispanic lady who answered the phone is as rude as her English, and gives others a bad rep. Funny how the 5 or 4 star reviews are mainly Hispanic - I wouldn't doubt it if they are having their friends or peers post these reviews to increase their ratings. It's also ironic that everyone complains about the same things: rudeness, unprofessional, and jacked up fees, etc. You unhappy customers are able to start a class action law suit against this company - seek the advice of a civil trial lawyer, and use the Better Business Bureau to raise your voice. I've read the "owner" response comments about how they would like to assist and discuss the situation, and let's not forget: "clarify misconceptions" as to their business! So, I suppose all the bad reviews are a coincidence; how convenient!

Called here to ask general questions regarding the junk cars. The lady that answered the phone was very unprofessional and she claimed to be the owner. He English was ridiculously broken that she became upset because I could not understand her. Luckily this is just a junk car business and much professionalism isn't required. AND NO my car was not towed, I am a regular person that was trying to get information.

This establishment is crooked and wouldn’t recommend to no one. Please stay as far away from this company as you can. They can not provide you with any type of documentation as to why your car was towed. I will be reporting them to the BBB as to investigating this company for fraud. STAY CLEAR OF RIKERS ROADSIDE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. RUN in the other direction. The lady at the desk also has no customer service or do their drivers and good luck trying to speak to a manager or an owner that will never happen and they call themselves a business. What a joke. This company doesn’t even deserve a star but this is the only way to write a comment. The frustrating part of it all is that they making up prices as they go and don’t want to provide you with proof as to why the charges. The lady at the front desk needs to be disciplined on how to conduct business in a proper manner. RIKERS if you don’t correct your staffing issues you will be looking at a lawsuit because of the lack of customer service the lady provides. Please whatever you do stay clear of RIKERS.

This place deserves 0 stars..Worst customer service in the world, she was also racist. I was involved in an accident and I called them to ask what is needed in order for me to get my car. A male answered the phone and stated that I only need my driver liscense and my registration.. I go to pick up my car and this racist biggot with the most disgusting attitude ever advise me that I had to pay to get my vehicle out..I wasnt upset about the cost but she couldn’t even give me an explanation of the cost, she then assured me that I had to pager my car by 4pm or the it’s extra fee.. I asked for sheet with cost of explanation so I include it in my claim so I can provide it my insurance and she said no. I will be reporting this lack of a company to the BBB to be investigated for fraud..

Terrible people! The lady at the front window was horrible to everybody. Why does she work in customer service if she doesn't like people and can't treat them decent?

If I could give 0 stars, I would. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND EVEN WORSE EMPLOYEES. The woman who answered the phone will catch an attitude quickly and be disrespectful. They like to add services to their menu, my vehicle got repossessed. They are trying to charge $150 to get my private property out of the vehicle. It’s not on the service menu. My ID is in the vehicle, but she said it’s my fault the car got repossessed.

This place is truly a place that has no integrity. The people who work there are crooked. My son's truck was stolen and wrecked and abandoned and by the time we found out they had his truck was ten days later. They charged him $671.00 in fees. (Cash only)Then the man showing him the truck told him he needed his key and when we asked for the key back they refused to give it to us. The woman who works there was absolutely the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She told me that she would not have called us even if she had our phone number. She said the truck would be theirs. We ended up calling the police in order to force them to hand over the key. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone EVER!

The company has a contract to tow in tow away zones. My son parked in a lot for about 10 minutes when he had to make a stop across the street. The Tow Away Zone sign is almost hidden in the lot. Needless to say, my son missed the sign. While making his stop, he saw the truck pull up and quickly begin to load the vehicle to "tow away". He ran across the street, and caught the guy before the car was even fully secured on the wrecker. He confronted the man but the man would not release the vehicle. He demanded $65.00 from my son, refused to give receipt and would only take cash. "You can give me $65 now or you can pay the lot $150 tomorrow" was his reply. This was an honest mistake on my son's case and he immediately attempted to remedy the problem , however, the truck driver would have no part of it and strong armed him for the cash. Not an honest company, practicing with little integrity.

I'm not here to complain about the towing fees, because although they were rather high, that was not my main issue. They tried to force their towing service on me at the scene of the accident, it was my first accident and I did not know what standard protocol was. Because my accident involved four cars, the insurance companies had a lot of things to work out, so my car was stuck on the lot for a week. I called about picking it up and they were very rude, and were not willing to work with me about getting it towed off their lot. When they brought the car out to have another company tow it to the salvage yard, they towed it across the street and left it on the side of the road in a ditch for the next people to unsafely get to. Also, they claimed to have mailed me some papers, that I had not received at the time, and were unwilling to make me another copy while I was at their facility. They took our situation, and literally laughed at our misfortune. I pity their next customer.
