UPDATE: THIS PLACE IS GOING DOWNHILL .DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM HERE!! THE DAY I LEFT THIS REVIEW I BOUGHT FOUR TIRES AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRES WOULD BE WARRANTIED FOR 55,000 MI ONLY IF I GOT ALIGNMENT. 5,000 MI LATER MY FRONT TIRES ARE SEPARATING AND MY TRUCK IS BOUNCING AROUND THE ROAD. WHEN I CAME IN TO GET MY TIRES WARRANTIED I WAS AUTOMATICALLY GIVING SOME LINE THAT I DIDN'T PAY FOR THE ROADSIDE HAZARD SO THE TIRES WON'T BE WARRANTIED. MY INVOICE STATES THAT 'S THESE TIRES ARE COVERED FOR 55,000 MI! I CALLED CORPORATE I ARGUED WITH MANAGEMENT. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DON'T BUY TIRES HERE

I got my oil changed last week at Express Oil Change & Tire in Yulee by Home Depot. I’ve gone there faithfully for more than two years for oil changes. After my oil change they told me that I needed four new tires because the tread was low. $1200 was the cost. I decided to price check for other quotes and my fist stop was Pep Boys. They checked my tires and came back inside and told me that I didn’t need tires and that I still have plenty of tread. They even took me out and showed me the tool they use to check and sure enough all four tires were in the green. Their cost for new tires (had I actually needed them) were $500 cheaper. Pep boys gained a new customer out of me and Express Oil Change & Tire lost my respect and my business. Shame on you Express!

We had a blowout with our camper on 95. We managed to limp it here because they had the size we needed. Staff was super friendly and accommodating!!!!!

I developed a problem with my brakes on my Ford Edge this morning. I went to Pep Boys in Yulee, Fl the same day. They were able to diagnose my problem and fix it in a matter of 2 hours. They also found my air filter was in bad shape and needed replacing. During their inspection the determined my battery was going bad. Fortunately my battery was under warranty and was replaced. I had my car into the local dealership a week before this for a service and oil change. They told me my car was in perfect working order and did not need additional work or replacement of parts. I will go to Pep Boys for my next service Thank you Pep Boys

I was told the service would take about 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting over an hour and 30 minutes. They had to go to AutoZone to get the oil my car needed, and no one informed me about the delay until I was already pressed for time. As a result, I’m now late for work. Clear communication is important, and unfortunately, that didn’t happen here. Very disappointed with how this situation was handled.

They shamelessly scam people. How do they sleep at night? Probably on a pile of gold coins, guarding it like some sort of dragon. I went in for 4 new Goodyear all-weather tires, and got quoted $1200 for this. I then went to Walmart and had essentially the same Goodyear all-weather tires for $600 (with a warranty). My tires were pretty good after that, but I felt that I needed a little tune up. My tire alignment was at 0.25 and I got them ever so slightly moved. That costed me $135. This place is an actual joke, and I only went to them out of desperation because this was very time sensitive and every other store was booked (by the way, there were no rush fees, they just charge an egregious amount of money for even the simplest of tasks). I get that it's a corporate store, but come on, charging people 1/2 of their cars value is just gluttonous. So, if you have an incurable thirst to just THROW MONEY into a burning fire to stay warm, I suggest coming to Pep Boys. And that Maxwell guy was looking at me like I was the easiest person to scam. He was pitching things at me and making the price go higher and higher as I kept smiling and nodding. I doubt he's even on commissions too. Genuinely, there is absolutely no reason for this place to be so expensive. Especially when you can get it done literally almost everywhere else for 1/2 the price. If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. I'd even rate it negative stars. I don't even think stars are the appropriate grading system for this. I am awaiting the basic universal band-aid of a corporate "I'm sorry" from these guys. But hey, that's just all my opinion and shouldn't dictate your experience with them. However, never be afraid to simply just walk away and find a better price elsewhere.

Huge shout out to Justin and the team at Pep Boys Yule Florida. My mother in law who was stranded on he way to NY with a flat tire and no wheel lock key was out of options. It was near closing time on a Saturday night and Justin found a way to help. A true gentleman and really saved the day. We cannot thank you enough!!

I got shocks and struts. I heard clicking from the driver's side every time it turnned. I took it back and was told there was nothing wrong. I took it somewhere else. The first thing they asked was did I have shovks or struts done recently. Problem fixed. I heard Pep boys is under new management. I wish them the best, but they lost multiple customers for life.

I went there to get a universal joint put in in the rear-drive shaft. I came in to get my house key, and the front end of my truck was torn into a 100 pieces. I talked to them about it. They were very rude and Said they would fix everything. They threw it back together, and my truck never drove the same. I asked him to give me an alignment. They just rushed me out the door and act like they did not do anything. I suggest not going to them period worst place in yulee

Great customer service! I was on vacation in FL when my car died. I had it towed to Pep Boys on a Sunday. They made room for my car in a bay to keep it safe overnight and early the next morning had the issue diagnosed. It was something that required the dealership to handle. So Maxwell and team got my car prepped for the tow truck and refused to charge me for their work. Thank you, Maxwell and Pep Boys!

On May 5, 2025 I brought my 2018 Lincoln MKX to Pep Boys in Yulee Florida so they could diagnose why the A/C system was blowing hot and cool air at various times. The diagnosis came back saying it was a freon issue and it was estimated to be $216.72 to remedy the problem. I approved the work and a day later I was informed the work was completed. I paid the charges and picked up my car and drove it for a few days noticing the same exact problem. I called Pep Boys to explain. They politely asked me to return my car to them so they could further diagnose the problem only to be told later that they could not fix my A/C. They recommended that I take my car to a Lincoln dealer to be repaired without offering a refund. When I returned home I opened the hood and noticed they had not placed a valve cap on one of the two A/C lines. I called Pep Boys again. They asked me to bring my car back in. I sent my wife back over there with the car and when she returned I opened the hood and found Pep Boys had installed the wrong valve cap that did not fit my car. I called Pep Boys and spoke to Max and explained my dissatisfaction. He responded and said that he could do nothing about it, that my complaint needed to be moved up to the next level of authority which would take a week or so. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with the results and treatment from Pep Boys. I am going to reverse the $216.72 charge from my credit card.

Maxwell was an EXTREME help. Very professional came through late on a Saturday with a messed up valve. Young gentleman grabbed my tire replaced it fixed it and I was on my way out to enjoy my weekend. Thank you Max !!

Max was awesome today. Not only does he have an awesome attitude, very helpful, and an All around great person, but I watched him interact with a pretty rude customer with the upmost class. He never lost his cool when I think most would have. In my opinion the customer was way out of line, and Max's humbleness was on full display.

Huge shoutout to Maxwell and Steven at Pep Boys for their outstanding service! My suv’s AC wasn’t working, and they quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything to me. Now my AC is blowing ice-cold air again, just in time for the warm weather! Their customer service was top-notch, and I truly appreciate their honesty and efficiency. If you need any work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend these guys. Thanks again, Maxwell and Steven!

Max is great. Not just with me but with all customers. I was in the waiting area, listened to him interact with multiple customers with respect and common courtesy. Almost forgot to mention they were open on Sunday were able to help with a few urgent walk in customers. People will always remember how they were treated. This is my team from now on.

Went in for oil change with coupon. Was told at the desk that the coupon doesn't cover high milage oil...when it clearly states that it does. Judging by the reviews of late, seems as though they're running some kind of shade tree mechanic scam. STAY AWAY. Went to a local shop and was taken care of much more professional.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! It started Jan 25th when we went in for an oil change and ask about grease on my front rim. Max was very cool and helpful, so we thought!! He said they could do a cv boot bc I cracked mine, and it was cheaper than a whole axel. He wrote the prices on a post-it. We were quoted $527.90 out the door. We called last Monday , Jan27th , and scheduled an appt for Feb 3rd at 8am. When we got there at 8am, we were dealing with Max again. The price increased to almost $800. We showed him his own quote on the post-it. He said the part was more expensive and there was a waranty, etc. Then He said they didn't have the part. He made a call and said he ordered it from 2 places and asked if we could come back @2³⁰. We called @2 and spoke with the assistant manager. She said it was on the 2³⁰ drop, but wouldn't actually have it until 3. When we got there at 3, the assistant manager said she didn't see where the part came in, 7 hrs after our actual appt time! I asked if it was common practice for them to schedule appts a week out and not have parts. She went out to Max. We were there for 45 mins before Max came to tell us somebdy dropped the ball. He made excuses and passed the blame. There were some words said between us and he gave a sorry, fake apology; while the assistant manager just stood there. We had taken the day off to get all of this handled. The part should've already been there! When we called Goodyear, they said they haven't heard of replacing the boot since the 90's, when parts were so expensive, and just the boot required more labor. We had to get a rental car and leave my car at another place so they can start on it 1st thing in the morning. Now we're out of a day's pay and a the price of a rental. Had someone been HONEST earlier in the day, we could've taken it to where it is now, had it fixed and not get a rental. This all could've ended differently with a little accountability and honesty. At least now I understand why the boot never made it there! When we talked with Max after my oil changed he bragged about how he turns stores around, increases business, is all about customers and honesty. I find that very hard to believe! Today was NOT about the customer or honesty! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! The price quoted was for just a boot. The cost of a whole axel with boot was a little over $600, where we ended up talking it.

I took my son’s truck here since it was the recommended shop by the warranty and I have used them before to change our tires so taking a look at a check engine light was to not an issue I thought. This was back on 12/26. Fast forward to 12/28 I get a call from pep boys stating we are going to need a complete exhaust system in the truck and that parts would be ordered on Monday 12/30. Fast forward to 12/30 no parts were ordered since Pep boys said Warranty had not approved the total cost yet. I called the warranty on 1/2 since I knew holidays might of delayed things a few days and they confirmed everything was approved so Pep Boys miss informed me. It is now 1/8 and our truck is still not fixed and If I don’t call in I don’t get an update on the vehicle. The parts are not back ordered and they should not be taking this long since they are getting it from Ron Anderson which is literally miles down the road. To say I’m disappointed at their customer service and the lack of communication is to say the least. If I don’t call them I get no updates. So maybe my review will warn others. I told them if I don’t get this resolve by Friday 1/10 I would take my truck somewhere else.

We were traveling on New Year’s Day when our tire light came on. We tried filling the air, and the light went off, only to come back on. Pep Boys was kind enough to fit us in and check our tires throughly. When it turned out to be a sensor problem, they didn’t even charge us! The whole team was amazingly kind and wonderful!

Great service, great local people. I have four cars, including two patrol vehicle and i get all my tires and service there. Reliable, customer oriented and honest. Been in Fernandina Beach 21 years and i was so happy to see Pep Boy move in a few years ago as an alternative to older shops whose attitude has changed with the influx of wealth in the are and have come to take their clients for granted.

We were happy customers of Pep Boys in Hiram, Ga., for years. Unfortunately, it's one and done in Yulee. Five days after my first oil change there, the splash deflector under the engine of my car came loose on the interstate (scary stuff when you have no idea what's happening and nowhere to safely pull off). When I called to let them know, the guy told me a) it happens all the time (maybe ... but never for me) and b) customers are constantly coming in with a similar issue (install problem perhaps?). No offer to replace the part (which was destroyed). He did say they would install a new one if I purchased it and brought it in. No thanks. If I'm going to buy the new part, I'd rather go to someone who takes care with the install and gets it right the first time. Disappointing, because I was impressed by the customer service during my initial visit. Oh well.

I booked a service I thought I needed, but Theresa let me know it actually wouldn’t be helpful for the issues I described with my car. This saved me time and money! She was so kind from the moment I walked in, and gave me free extremely helpful information!!! She was clear, honest, and thorough about what I do need, how much it would cost, and how long it could take. I’ve been having several complex issues with my car, and the info she gave me was more thorough and helpful than what I paid for at my local Chrysler dealership. Although I didn’t have any service done, I can tell this shop has good honest people. I don’t feel as if they would do anything unnecessary to cost you money or be deceptive, but quite the opposite. Thank you for all your help!

These guys are the best, especially Teresa the office manager-over 30 years of car dealership experience. Steve, the manager is always a straight-shooting delight to deal with. They are genuinely glad to work with you and always set realistic expectations and are diligent to get everything covered as quickly as possible…very thorough and professional making sure that they cover all the details and possible issues and contributing factors in solving your automotive issues. Highly recommended and very satisfied with their work and services.

Fantastic location!!! This is the only repair place I will take my car because of the friendly and informative staff. Never have I felt like they are trying to charge me more than needed. I was having brake issues and I was thinking I needed new brake pads. After the mechanic inspected everything the manager told me I did not need new brake pads and suggested a brake system flush (?). I got that done and my issue cleared up! Thank you Steve and everyone. Also, the waiting area is always clean, as is the bathroom. Two things you don't normally see at a car repair shop.

I needed a new tire for my car and went to the Pep Boys nearest me. I got there just before they opened. I first spoke to the Manger, Glenn. Glenn is a very nice, friendly guy. He looked up the tires that would fit my car and recommended a Cooper Tire. He said I’d be out quickly. I was in no great rush as they have a nice, clean waiting area. Glenn and I chatted a little while I waited. He’s a very interesting guy. After 30 minutes my car was ready and they provided me with a multipoint inspection with recommendations service. It was a very pleasant experience and I thought the price was reasonable too. I’ll be back for any service I need.
