Do your homework .I had 2 guys helping me clean my carport and yard area so we were collecting "scrap" stuff. One of the guys suggested taking some aluminum in that didn't have a current use. He was excited about how much it would bring. I received $.65 for misc and 89 lb of CLEAN aluminum (.20 / lb)=$18.65 total.
Not worth the effort and they should be ashamed. 2 days later and I'm still miffed
Second time coming here. Have never had an issue with them. They are always cool and they crack me up. I'm not a professional scrapper, I just take stuff that is taking up space in my garage. They don't just do metal, they also do electronic waste. Everything is based on the weight of the material. I do like how it is local in yulee. It is clean for a scrap yard. It can get sandy on a windy day, so keep your windows up.
What a rip-off pays about half Over everybody else if you want somewhere close, go to Callahan recycle, but if you can take it. To Jacksonville FL. Much better prices
Scam Alert! Wish I would have read reviews first. So disappointing. I live up the street and was excited to see a scrap place nearby as I'm an electrician who's new to the area. They are friendly here. I would be too if I was getting everyone's copper for a fifth of what anyone else would pay. I would think 3 home Depot 5 gallon buckets stuffed with bare bright, a moving box filled with thhn, 2 Romex 12-2 250' rolls, and 3 window AC units would net me more than $41....SCAM ALERT!
Worst ever! Bunch of low-balling rip-off's Scamming the entire community! Being the only place near Fernandina you are kind of forced to use them. We have weighed our load several times before going here and they do in fact adjust the scales in their favor!

We have "WATCHED" them "LIGHT THE SCALE" by 25lbs before weighing you in almost every time we go there!

Scammers!!!!! This place is a scam. You can take your scrap here.....but know your weight and price per pound. They ripped us off on copper. I didn't know till after I spoke with someone else. Said they had cameras but would not look up my information and settle what they owed me. Scammers!!!!!!
Literally stealing your metal and selling it for what you should have got for it elsewhere. If you have anything more than just a few scraps drive the extra 30mins to another place in jax and get 5 times as much money
This company will scam you. My daughter and i took a 5 gallon bucket of copper to them and he gave us $5.
When i realized and called, he said i had to have my ticket. The cops pull people up by name, he can. Scammers!
I read reviews about this place before going but they were older so I was hoping things changed. They will definitely scam you out of your stuff. They literally gave you a third of what it’s worth. They gave me $.15 per pound on number two insulated wire I had 214 pounds and only got $32
My fault, guess I should have asked. Only paid .10 a pound for over 100 pounds of pretty clean aluminum scrap. You may want to call and get the price before you go.
I have lived in Yulee for 24 years and have been going to this scrap yard for about 7 years now, and I find the employees to be very respectful, helpful and are fast at getting everybody in and out. I’ve never had a problem. I will admit, that with this new management, things are A LOT BETTER.
Close to home ( did not have drive far ) . that was a big plus. Even sent a guy over to assist me in the unloading process. Quick and simple, in and out. Great job guys, Thank you.
