Hello, I bought a property in Montego three years ago. On Monday night they broke my fence and took my generator and some small mango trees. It's sad what's happening. I think all the neighbors can ask the police to patrol our streets day and night since theft is becoming more common and there's no security for those who already live on their properties. I think if we unite we can do something and not allow them to ruin our paradise. We have to take measures and stop this. Selling and moving is not an option.

This is a warning or advice for people thinking about buying land to build in Montura Ranch, you need at least $400 thousand dollars in hand, cash, if you don’t have that kind of money don’t waste your time, a mobile home cost is almost $160 000, that’s does not include the septic tank $ $7000 to $15000, water well $ $3500 to $7000, and the worst part is dealing with Hendry County permit department especially the clewiston office, everything is illegal, you can not put a storage container in your property, you can’t live in a motor home “ in your property”( that belongs to them not to you) if you are planning on fencing your property you can only put the fence they allow to put, not your choice, their choice, there is no freedom to do anything in “their property “( because is not yours) other than building a very expensive house that most people can’t afford, I was lucky enough to figure it out, sold my property just in time and ran away from there, too much red tape, as much restrictions as an HOA or worst, people are buying land without knowing what’s ahead, I hope you learn from my bad experience, I’m in the process of buying land in Hillsborough Country, no restrictions, I can do in my land whatever I want to do. In Hendry County Montura Ranch they own the land you don’t, you just pay taxes for something that ain’t yours, bye bye Montura.

I use to live in Montura 20 years ago and love it . It was nice to take a ride to just see wooded propertys . I came back to visit my friends and it ,s so awful to see people,s property with ugly container home , a RV on their land or a semi Park on it , 4 Park cars or more on their land( Their should be regulations for this nastyness) also for keeping alot of noises animals that keeps you up all night and burning trash since I have bad allergies from it . Sure didn't enjoy staying out here do to it's so crowded now . Highly don't recommend anyone to move to miserable Montura !

Beware of Realtors in Clewiston because they didn't warn us that they're thieves out here and people leave trash around, let dogs run free free on your land killing all of the friendly stray cats , jamming loud music, gunshots going off all the time Property taxes are expensive ain't worth it do to flooding causes it to be infested with alot of mosquitoes and red ants !

Rural, quiet, peaceful, with lots of new construction and development happening lately. New construction everywhere. 15 minute drive from Clewiston town for Walmart, fast food, and more. A great alternative to the madness of city life.

Price of land is still reachable between $40 and $50 grand. You can build a home or bring a prefabricated one. Lots of lots are changing ownership. You must enjoy quiet and peaceful surroundings.

It's not a bad gasoline station is just that the back of the store is kind of messy every single time i trying to get something in the back there's always a crate or a bunch of things that are stacked up and other times it completely blocks what I'm trying to get.

Old town. Unincorporated in a very remote county. Buyers beware. Sellers, owners & realtors not thorough or properly informative. Can turn out to be costly due to fines. Very Remote area. Run down trailers, abandoned, illegal drug issues. Working man town. Possibly dangerous. High crime. No lighting. Basically a low lying flood zone. No police station near. Poorly operated and maintained only with Hope's for wealthy investors, surrounded by sugarland

Tranquil, but fun at the same time. There is an area for the club members were we can ride our atvs in the woods away from the street. Love to spend time here with the famliy.

I have lived in Montura for almost two years now and I love it. The air is so much better out here, then you have all the small aminals that come out in the morning to eat. We have a very nice store (that has everything) that's Mary Lous.Then a nice club house with a pool ,big park,picnic tables(you can bar-b-q at) has a roof over it. Then there's basketball court & soccerball field. You can have partys in the club house too, they have pool tables an a library to read books or color in coloring books. Its a really nice place to live. I lived in south clewiston for 36 years an it was a little bit out of town, but moving to Montura Ranch Estates is great living. Its a 15 min ride to town but the quality of life we have out here is well worth it.

This place is haunted! This development was built on top of an Indian burial site. Weird stuff happens here at night. Particularly from 3am-4am.
