Wonder experience with the professionals at Advance Auto Parts in Middletown Delaware! I found the staff there very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in helping troubleshooting my Volvo XC60 start ing issues....they certainly have earned my trust and future business. Huge Thanks.
It's not a large selection, but my guess is if you need a part, you're in the right place. As far as employee friendless... the first time I was in, the gentlemen was very helpful and pleasant, but the second time, what a difference! The young man barely talked to me and acted like I was a pain in his behind. I believe if he had tried to smile, his face would have cracked.
What can I say about Dustin? HE IS OUTSTANDING!!!! I had to jury-rig a windshield wiper blade to fit a custom tour bus that lost one during Tropical Storm Ophelia. He did not just write me off because I was a woman driver; he knew I was on a mission and had to create a viable solution. With his patience, fantastic customer service, and tall height, we were able to keep that bus moving. I made it back home safe and sound. Dustin is the epitome of customer service. I wish there were more like him everywhere; this place we call Earth would be much better. Thanks again, Dustin, for all your help!
I was helped and assist above and beyond with well deserved recognition on Chris customer service Expertise. The parts that I need its not available in store catalog for a particular vehicle. He checked the actual product that I have explained I only needed and not the whole part that would cost me lots more that I really don't need. My visit and purchased in middletown branch was a pleasant one. Good job guys!
This place used to be my "go too", now everytime I go there, what I need is never in stock. I pride on being a loyal customer but it's impossible to do that when you can't get common items you need. Now I just go across the street...
Needed to order online some brakes for my SUV, so I had them set to pickup here. This was my first time to visit this location. The exterior and interior were very clean and bright. When I got to the register, they were aware of my order, and had me taken care of very fast. The downside was the prices in the store were very high compared to other stores selling the same product.
Im new to the area. The staff was Not helpfull or knowledable the day I was there. They didn't know what tools were for what they had or what the differances were beyond "That one costs more" thanks...
Had my alternator go bad 90 miles from my house. I just made it to the store and found a friendly and helpful staff. They had a alternator and gave me tools to change it out. Very impressed. THANKS GUYS AND GALS

Jon was very helpful with helping my son and I find the right battery for his car. He was very patient and explained all of the testing completed. It was really a bad experience!! I went into the Advance Auto in Middletown when my car suddenly started having problems with the headlights they were flashing on and off out of no where. I went in asked if my battery could be checked guy said it was completely done and quoted me a price for it. I asked if it can be charged no one helped even after I asked if they could show me how to remove it I waited outside no one came out. I plugged my battery back in and went across the street to auto zone soooo happy I did my battery they said is perfectly fine after they took it out and put it back in for me.
Went in looking for a spray to hush the niise of my fanbelt, young man said he wouldn't recommend using any because the sound is to let me know something is wrong. Glad i listened, the next day it popped and i had to replace it. Thanks for the help!
I think they have a new owner here by the name of Ra. He knows nothing. Barely speaks English. Couldn't find the obc port on a jeep then after I showed him he plugged his unit in. Said it wasnt working and just walked away. Went across the street to Auto zone. Was in and out in 5 minutes with a obc test and items bought.
I've been going here for years I changed from advance auto due to part quality and no mistakes on parts for years now and also if I need a part it's in 2am the next day
Great experience no long waiting lines., Customer service representative was very knowledgeable of my part inquiry that I requested infact he fully explain how to go about to install my part afterwards it was very easy to install. I needed a right and left rear SUV tail gate hinges that are spring loaded. My automobile dealership wanted $75.00 for each hinge and I got two hinges at Advance Auto for the price of one., Advance Auto listed price was $25.00 each., I ordered my parts on site approximately 11:00 am that morning and my parts arrive at the store that same day around 4:00pm. Also I may add I had the very option to pay upon placing my order or pay upon delivery of my pickup. I installed my hinges outside of the Advance Auto Parking Lot., Less than five minutes to install. Mission Accomplish.
This place is excellent! My alternator went on my truck halfway from MD to NJ and I was able to limp it into the parking lot. They let me borrow tools to swap it out and they tested my battery. They were out there getting their hands dirty with me which made the whole ordeal way less stressful. These guys are great!

The employees are always helpful here. On my last visit, they found the spark plug, the fuel filter and a 6v battery for my lawn mower in about 3 minutes (it helps to bring in the parts).
My battery died. I got a jump and drove straight Advance Auto Parts. They had my battery, on sale too. The young man there even installed it for me. He was very helpful. This is a service they offer when you buy a battery there, and makes life easier.
i use to shop at advance auto parts when a young man named Aaron worked there i will tell you one think that man was on point with everything that kid nose auto motive the was number of time that i dealt with aaron on the phone and in person i use to spend between $250 and $600 at a time with aaron and him alone i was shocked to find out that he no longer worked for advance auto parts i will not be going back there any time soon they need to bring him back. and i would not trust and one eles in that store
Went there the other night it had rained some earlier but had stopped raining. I needed one of the free checks on the car they said they provide, the employee said we don't do that in the rain. My husband proceeded to tell the employee it was not raining, we waited until it stopped and came we wouldn't expect a store person to check in the rain. He said well it's very overcasted out side and we won't check it now. Both employees were at the time doing nothing one was black and one was white. We went across the street to Auto Zone and they came outside and checked the same thing and we spent $540.00 in the store. Advanced auto store, if you want more business in Middletown, you have to be friendly and treat the customers with kindness and appreciation. Hope you go out of business. Customers are first. The employees would not even come outside to check to see if it was still raining. LAZY LAZY...go to autozone they are much nicer and have been here for Middletown.
