The blonde attendant was shockingly rude—so much so that we decided to leave Mystic entirely. It’s unfortunate, as we were genuinely excited to dine downtown and support local businesses. To other establishments in the area: take note. One person’s behavior can have a ripple effect on the entire community.
Would give “0” stars if I could. The blonde woman parking attendant had to be one of the rudest, unprofessional, nasty people I have encountered in the 30+ years I’ve been going to downtown Mystic. We immediately left the downtown area because of this. So disappointing that we could not enjoy a nice afternoon of food and shopping in the local businesses.
On a rainy Mystic morning, after driving for an hour from Warwick, I needed to use the public bathroom next to this parking lot entrance. Hardly any traffic, no pedestrians. My partner dropped me off just past of the bathrooms in front of the parking lot entrance. Let me reiterate that it was raining and there was no traffic. Maybe a couple of cars, if that. The parking attendant woman comes out, yelling at me like I’m a child. “Do not EVER block MY parking lot. You can drop off HERE or THERE, but not HERE. Do not EVER DO THAT AGAIN.” Look, I get it. Mystic can be hectic, but there’s no reason to be condescending, especially when no one is driving on the street or trying to get into your parking lot. Maybe put up a sign or something to prevent people from pulling over there instead of berating people publicly. ??♀️
To the lady attending on 5/4/25 at 2:30 PM, I’d be cranky if I was your age getting paid minimum wage to sit around and watch other people enjoy their weekend. god forbid you have to help me with a smile and some positivity, seek a soul
Blonde woman was screaming at me for turning around to park elsewhere when I realized I didn't have cash on me. Told me I wasn't allowed to turn around there lol
The Blonde lady attendant is rude. She was screaming at people that were walking by and she freaked out on me for following the audio directions. She was extremely condescending because I didn't do it right, and when I told her I was just following the audio instructions, which told me to enter my card first, she kept pointing at me and yelling. She even kept yelling at me as I was driving away. She's got some kind of anger problem to be acting like that.
Lady was crazy. Something about my credit card almost breaking her machine? Like what? Ran right out of the booth like we were bombing the place. Then she said my son in the car seat will not be much to society. Woman needs a reality check.
Parking lot was easy to get into the time of day we came and left. However, it’s suppose to be self pay parking and it was not. There was an attendant and she was as rude as they come. (Both when we pulled in and left).
The rates are completely reasonable, but the blonde woman working the kiosk was insufferable. She was practically taking my card out of my hand to do it for me, no matter how many times I told her off. Completely takes away the benefits of the automated system.
Side note: Don't tell people not to walk out by the gate when the only sidewalk option is completely overrun by bushes.
This parking lot rips you off. Supposed to be certain amount for certain time there. When you get there, can swipe credit card or get a ticket, I selected to get a ticket, which has time stamp on it. When I went to leave, the guy didn't even take my ticket, just my credit card so I got charges highest rate. Not even for how long I was there. This place is a scam and rip off and I will be reporting them.
Would give zero star if I can. The woman was extremely rude to me for no reason, I was trying to pay for parking, and she ripped my credit card out of my hand and commented “do you even know how to use a credit card?” I was flabbergasted that this is the welcome I got at Mystics.
