I would overall give my experience as higher stone, a 10 out of 10 because of the environment was very friendly. The staff there explained what was going on and even helped me with a discount. I would absolutely recommend anyone to the Wallingford Firestone And I will be coming back for any other car issues
Go there for an oil change and next day have oil leaks, which my car was not leaking anything prior to going there, the oil filter cap was overtighten which caused a problem with the engine oil cooler which they stated that wasn't the case and they wanted to charge me over 1400.00 to fixed then calls me and says they will take off the part 517.99 and for me to pay labor 922.and change I said absolutely not because Firestone caused the problem because before I brought it there I Never had and leaks 100 percent.
Matt failed to specify important details over the phone before I drove to the appointment, then proceeded to lie about what was said over the phone. Very shifty, would not trust.
We have used Firestone services for years and they are always courteous and straight forward.
They never tried to talk us into services that were not necessary. Their customer service and professionalism is above average and we would not hesitate to recommend their business.
On Monday, January 5th at approximately 4:19 PM (timestamp visible in my photo), I visited the Wallingford Firestone AutoCare location and observed a vehicle illegally parked in a designated handicap parking space without authorization.
I brought this to the attention of the employee behind the counter. His response was dismissive and concerning. He stated, “we park there all the time,” indicating this is a regular practice. When I explained that handicap parking is reserved by law and that my 93-year-old father-in-law relies on accessible parking, the employee rolled his eyes. When I said I would report the violation, he replied, “go ahead, they don’t care.”
My purpose for visiting was to purchase four tires for my SUV, but based on this behavior and lack of basic ethics and respect for accessibility laws, I left without doing business and took my purchase elsewhere.
Handicap parking exists for a reason. Treating it as optional is unacceptable.
I have lifetime snow tire changeover. I was told Firestone is not going to honor this any longer.
It’s unfair to the people that already have this from previous purchases. It should only apply to new customer purchases. You are punishing your loyal customers.
My tire light came on so I went over here to get it checked out. I didn't have an appointment, explained how the light was on and wasn't sure if there was a nail or something because that happened to me previously. The guy told me to pull up in front of the bay and within 3 minutes he was putting air in the tires and checking them. He explained how they were all low not just one so I seemed to be good with not having a nail or anything. Even had an Audi tech look at the light for me.
I booked a repair appointment with Firestone two days in advance, and on the day of the appointment they took my car but couldn’t even complete the repair. The staff was rude, kept arguing with me, and clearly didn’t care about customers at all. They completely wasted my time and left me feeling extremely frustrated.
My go to car people David and Matt are always so helpful and amazing care of me and my family when it comes to our cars. They give incredibly fast service and always make time to fit us in! They’ve helped us through several cars and years would never go to anyone else!!
Walked in at 10:00 on Friday morning, Ryan waited on me, gave a quote on 4 new tires. Gave me tires to choose from and said he would have me out in 90 minutes. Well he delivered right on time. Highly recommend.
The staff here was professional, courteous, and helpful. Will be returning here for any future problems with my vehicle! Thank you to Ryan who was the most efficient & friendly!
My girlfriend stopped at this Firestone around 6:20 PM—40 minutes before closing—because her tire light came on. She simply asked if they could check for a puncture. Instead of taking a quick look, the staff said they “didn’t have time” and just refilled the air.
I called afterward and spoke with the manager, Dave, who claimed it would take “at least an hour” to inspect the tire since they’d have to lift the car and remove it. I’ve never heard of a tire shop insisting it takes an hour to check for a nail—any competent shop can do that in minutes.
Turning away a customer with a possible tire issue when there’s still plenty of time left in the workday is careless, lazy, and unprofessional. It’s disappointing to see this level of indifference from a company that promotes itself as being trustworthy and customer-focused.
Awesome place to get your car serviced everyone is great there Ryan, Matt, Dave and Steve all have helped me in the past. Don’t listen to these bad reviews they are the best and fastest shop in town most of the people complaining on here sound like Karen’s! I stopped here I meridan ct with a tire that needed to be plugged they were closing in maybe 15 20 min. I had my daughter and grandson in the car,the men were so rude and couldn't take 5 min to plug my tire. They did have a car up on the lift but there was 6 or 7 ppl working!!! I would never suggest this place to anyone!! If these ppl would turn away a woman w her daughter and grandson in the car they have no heart!!! So a business like that is there for 1 reason to make money NOT TO REALLY HELP SOMEONE IN NEED!!!
I love that I can stop here to have My tires checked to ensure that everything is all set. I come to this location for oil change in my tires. David is always super friendly.
They confirmed my online appointment request right away. They serviced my car quickly and it was ready before the promised time. The check in/out staff was friendly and professional.
Have serviced my vehicle twice this year at the Wallingford Firestone. Never had to wait long for the services to be done and the prices have been reasonable. The last appointment was for an oil change and a vehicle inspection. ( check the brakes in particular) No issues were found, so hopefully, no need to return until next oil change. Each time I went there this year, the customer service was good and I was treated courteously and fairly.
I've purchased tires from this Firestone location many times over the years for several vehicles and have always had great experiences. Just recently I had front rotors, pads, and tires installed on my Fiat 500 Abarth. The level of service Ryan and his team at this location provides is top notch. I consider myself a car enthusiast and am very careful with who I let work on my cars. You can't beat these guys for pricing and the quality of work provided!
Steve the Service Manager took such great care of me when looking for some new tires for my SUV. Without even asking he applied a current promotion during check out to save me some extra money! I loved my last set of Firestone All Seasons that I purchased here so I got another set and love these even more. They got me in and out in record time as well. Great job Firestone, I will be back for the next set as well!
I came to get new tires and an alignment. The manager David was very nice and helped me save as much money possible. I like how you can watch through the glass to ensure the service is being done correctly. The facility is extremely clean. I will definitely be coming back here for any future needs.
My sister had to small trip coming up and bad tires. I was SO impressed with how fast Firestone got her in and the amazing professionalism of Joe! He was able to work with her short time window and got her amazing tires. We cant say enough about this place and Joe!!!

I was recently at Firestone in Wallingford where I got a full synthetic oil change after getting told by worker they won’t do any other oil in car as I did synthetic before. With that being said I am at point where I have 1,000 miles left before written number given for change and I was driving and low oil pressure light was going on and off. Took it to a local (better) shop and it was bone dry. They said good thing I brought it in when I did. I am so disappointed in this shop! I’ve gone to Firestone in Branford for years and rarely had issue only one time my hood wasn’t fully down but service was always good. I will never go back to Wallingford Firestone and I’m out the 90 bucks it cost me. Extremely disappointed in the unprofessionalism at that store as well as worker fought me for while about the oil I put in. Do better! I know people will say it’s estimated time they give with 5000 miles. Never have I ever had issue and when dash lights up at 30% more than not im at point where there is always miles after before the light actually comes on dash saying 30% so makes no sense why it was 1000 miles left
And I’m bone dry.
I had a good experience. Especially from the young bald tech took care of my Mini Cooper as best as he could. Really appreciate the assist trying to align an older car. Thanks also to David for getting me in on short notice.
