I've been there twice this year to have my engine code read. The same employee refused to help me both times. The first time, he told me we don't check codes at night. Today, the same guy said, "I'm not going outside. It's too cold." That guy is the worst employee I've ever seen, with no pride in his job and the worst attitude I've ever seen in an employee.

In order to purchase 2 items that were on clearance, and 6 of these items were in the store I had to contact corporate and then a division manager to actually purchase them. She (store manager) refused to sell them because they were for a "commercial cutomer". When asked if they were paid fir, the answer was vague. Three phone calls, a district manager and a day later I got the items because the 6 she had were never paid for. Was it worth the agrevasion? No, but a lesson needed to be learned. And not by me.

Just want to say I went to 2 other auto parts stores by Bridge Street, and employees didn't want to be bothered. i went to advanced auto and the gentleman who was working went out of his way to help me find the part I was looking for so I recommend advance auto very helpful and caring employees

They took back my used oil, they have you dump it yourself in back and then you just throw the containers out after. Easy.

Do not go by yourself if you’re a women. The old guy has given my mom a problem in the past and now me today. He was incredibly rude when I gave the device back after getting no help telling me I need to say thank you when people give me things that they didn’t have to give to me. As I walked him still saying ignorant things me not saying a word leaving to go get my cousins help and my cousin telling him he needs to respect women because like I said there was also a problem with him being rude to my mother. The worker off telling him that it’s goes both ways that I was supposedly rude when asking for my phone back because I didn’t have my license on me as collateral. Never will I go back again I always make it a point to go to advanced auto parts. They just didn’t have the transmission checker that’s the only reason I had to go here. I will be taking this up with corporate only because I know it’s not just a bad day for him he just a horrible customer service worker that loves disrespecting women.

Went to return a tool I did not use. The store staff pointed to a small sign in the back that said No Return of Tools. I looked up company policy and any tool can be returned within 90days as long as it wasn't used. Went to the waterbury Advanced Auto store and they took my return without question. I won't be buying anything in the future from the Naugatuck store.

Avoid at all costs. The GM Joe has a terrible attitude towards customers. O'Reilly auto down the road has a better selection, better prices, and better management.

Do not recommend. I came here specifically because the website states they will install your newly purchased car battery. Then I got here and they would not install it. The woman I interacted with was not knowledgeable or kind and was not able to answer my questions. She had a very bad attitude and persona. Upon coming to return my old battery core there was a long line. One associate was working the register and the other was just standing there doing nothing staring at us. It wasn't until I was next in line that they finally told me I could set the battery down - something they should have let me do before holding it for 10 minutes. A very disappointing experience. Employees clearly are not knowledgeable or helpful. There are Advanced locations that are good. This is not one of them.

Always helpful in letting me know what size wiper blades I need and also helpful in putting them on for me. They also have deals frequently for windshield washer fluid.

I needed a specific wiper blade for my vehicle. And posted right in the window, it states that they replace wiper blades. However; the young woman, and man weren't helpful in knowing which brand my car took. To make matters worse is that the woman was very reluctant to even come outside to get an idea of which blades would even work. Smh why give a job to someone who has no interest in the products being sold. And even less interest in helping customers? I went to NAPA, and the 2 older gentlemen knew of the correct wiper blade. And I was on my way. Smh hey Advanced Auto Parts take my advice hire older,interested employees and bring back true customer service. Thank you

The guys at this branch are beyond nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I like to get everything for my projects at once and from the same places at once; here i could absolutely do that. They have everything i needed and at good prices. You can also save money with their bundles. The competitors also offer bundles but you could never find everything that you can bundle up; not a problem here at Advance Auto Parts Overall a great experience all the time, but especially at the Ruber Ave branch in Naugatuck, CT

I waited with multiple other customers while one person handled a customer. The other two were on the phone. When I was finally called forward it was rudely. Too top things off I’ve never been to an Advance Auto where they told me they couldn’t install a battery after dark. The employee treated me like I should’ve known this policy and that I was an inconvenience. I was parked in their well lit lot under the light. Luckily Autozone across town was extremely helpful. Didn’t see anything on the website about this being a policy at Advanced. I won’t be back

Rude employees, discussing me behind my back thinking I left the store. No manners, cursing , hopefully they read this or at least their boss. Not shopping their anymore. If you dont like people should work on the farm and if you are misarable in life should have stayed in school. Wouldnt have to work at the store for minimum wage. If you want good service use Autozone 2 miles away.

Easy ordering online. On their website they also keep a record of your past orders which makes reordering easy. Once you place your order online it's usually ready within an hour. Pick up in store was fast & easy. Prices are decent but no bargain.

Great, speedy service. They came out to my car and used the diagnostic tool (in the rain) Results were bad thermostat. The part was in stock and i was on my way home so my husband could install! Thanks

Ordered a car battery online to pick up here. The online compatibility matrix sold me the wrong battery for the car. I did not realize this until I already gave my core back and the terminals were in the wrong spot. The clerk (also claiming to be the manager) wouldn't refund me as the order was an online order and there system wouldn't allow same day returns. "The system won't let him". I have to return the next day. Its not my fault the system sold me the wrong battery! The person claiming to be manager would not make an attempt to try to make it right. He told me to come back tomorrow. How am I supposed to get home when I just gave them the battery from the car that got me there and he new one they sold me doesn't fit! Finally he gave me the old battery to get back home. The person had no common sense. This was terrible service. We are supposed to minimize contact with people during this COVID situation and he wants me to return tomorrow for a refund. I went to a competitor down the street and got the right battery and better service. Avoid this place. The employees don't care and hide behind "Store policy". What a bunch of BS. There are 2 other competitors down the road.

Lazy employees! I went to the store twice asking for a battery installation, the first time they said it was too dark outside although I was there before sunset and there was enough light at 4 pm for a 30 minutes battery replacement. so I came back in few days day at around 11 AM and they said that they don't replace batteries on Toyota's!! You could have told me that before!!! So I went to Auto Zone and got the battery replaced in no time, and the employees at Auto Zone are friendly and helpful. Advanced Auto Parts you just lost a recurring customer!

The later hours of the store was so helpful. I needed a tap (M10 x 1.25) they had in stock I had no luck finding elsewhere. The local Advanced said this location had 3 in stock, which they did. I purchased two of the three. The one used so far worked fine and helped me get my exhaust manifold back on. Not having to wait another day came in clutch for an uncommon thread pitch size. Employee on the floor greeted me and made sure I was okay. Knew pretty much where to go, using layout of local store. Found what I needed and paid and left. Transaction was quick and they had the part I needed for my current job

I tried to return a small electrical part today, a $17.00 A/C compressor relay. when I bought the part there were several "exact fit" parts but not all of them looked the same. I bought the one that looked correct but realized as soon as I opened the relay box on my truck that it was too big. I took the part back to the Naugatuck store ( a place where I have spent over $900 this year) and was told flatly that they would not refund or even exchange the part. The person who helped me initially and the store manager just pointed to the sign on the door (the one I'm sure everyone reads). Well, Advance, your policy just lost you a valuable customer because I won't buy anything there again. I get policies but it was just the cold and matter of fact way I got treated that really rubbed me the wrong way. First time I've ever had a bad experience there in the three years I've been going. I've never been to Autozone but I just looked up their return policy and they don't exclude electronics. O'Reilly auto parts doesn't exclude electronics either and they are opening up a store in town soon. Guess who's getting my nine Franklins a year from now on.

It's refreshing to go into an Advanced auto parts store and deal with knowledgeable people. I've had excellent experiences in all their stores. I don't know how they train their people but it works. Love the shopping experience with them.

Great service! Highly recommend if you need help finding what you're looking for and aren't sure what the part may be. They're always helping me find parts I need for a good price with great quality.

Stopped at the Naugatuck store for a free diagnostic code reader. The store advertises as a free service. Two men at the counter claimed they were to busy, one handed me the reader and said I could do it myself. There were two customers in the store at the time and it looked like one of the guys was on their phone. Pure laziness and poor customer skills.
