DO NOT RECOMMEND TO NOBODY. TOOK 30 MINUTES BEFORE A SALESPERSON EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED ME FOR HELP THEN AS I GET HELP LOOKING FOR THE CAR I WANT TO START THE PROCESS ON BUYING A CAR TOOK $500 AS A DEPOSIT FOR A CAR WITHOUT KNOWING IF I WAS APPROVED OR ANYTHING AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. WHEN I WENT TO ANOTJER DEALERSHIP AND GOT APPROVAL SAME DAY AFYER I DECIDED TO GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP I ASKD FOR MY DEPOSIT BACK OHANIS THE SALESMAN STATED HE WILL SEND IT BACK BUT DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT PAYMENT METHOD WAS TAKEN OR HOW ITS BEING SENT BACK DID NOT GIVE ME NO ACCOUNTANT CONTACT OR ANYTHING . HOW MANY PPL YOU GUYS STEAL MONEY FROM!! DONT BUY FRIM THIS DEALERSHIP THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MOMEY AND GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND AS A BUSINESS MAKING CALLS ALL DAY BUT FAILS TO COMMUNICATE WHERE YOUR MOMEY IS. Hi All, I purchased a car from ABW about 4 months ago. I have to say, it was a very good and fair experience. I purchased a late model car which had some issues with radio system and brakes. ABW took the time to fix most issues ahead of time and even after purchase, installed a brand new entertainment system post purchase. Great place, lots of choices!

Awful. Attempted to inquire about a vehicle I was interested in. Asked about a CARFAX report and was told they don’t provide reports. They only wish to deal with you in person where they will use high pressure sales tactics. How could or why would any one who wants to purchase a vehicle do this? You wouldn’t, you would want all information possible before even traveling to see any vehicle. Sure, I could purchase the CARFAX report myself, but any reputable dealership would have it readily available. Not this place. Stay far away from a place that will only deal with you in person.

After 30 days of attempting to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, I ultimately encountered a level of unprofessionalism that was disappointing and unnecessary. I arranged for my brother to visit in person due to proximity, and instead of assisting, the primary salesperson delegated the interaction to someone else. Later, I personally flew from North Carolina to Connecticut to view the vehicle, only to be met with arrogance and dismissive behavior. Respect and professionalism should be standard in any transaction — especially when a customer is clearly serious enough to travel for the purchase. I would advise future buyers to evaluate carefully who they choose to work with at this dealership. As a professional, I would not mention anyone’s name due to the nature of a persons identity.

Whatever the listed price for a car at Better Way you'll need to add at least 20% for the " dealer fees" on top of that. Does not include taxes which will add more. Always ask for total including all fees before visiting the lot in person. Other than that annoyance. Nice photos. 2 stars for the photos.

From the moment I got to A Better Way I was taken care of in a friendly, no pressure and professional manner. ALL of the staff were helpful but Richie walked me through every detail of my purchase and offered great advice that was helpful. I drove my new used car off the lot the same day. I was very happy with my purchase experience. Anna was my salesperson, and she was straightforward, factual, honest, and all business. She didn’t act like the stereotypical used car salesperson who plays games or tries to haggle over junk vehicles. So far, my vehicle is doing great and is exactly what I was promised. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to leave one because I genuinely appreciated the honesty and the simple, no-nonsense process.

I met with a dealer named Eddie, heavyset older fellow. He tried to sell me a car that had damage on all sides (including the roof!) he claimed this could have due to hitting a deer and said it was not a big deal. The next car I looked at he hid pages out of the carfax. When I mentioned all the cars he showed me had airbags deployed he asked what I expected with only a down payment of $2000. He also stated I wanted a brokie mobile because I was looking at Honda accords. Very rude and sneaky. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there

I was looking for a good selection in one location for prices that were fair... I found it at A Better Way Wholesale Autos! Amy my salesperson and Chris the F&I guy were pleasant and helpful, and there was no unnecessary pressure. However, you need to be aware... this place gets busy and they sell a lot of cars. Do your research and be ready... if you blink or 'sleep on it', a car you might want will gone!

My daughter and I went to buy a car and Thery was such a pleasure to work with. The following day he went out of his way to drive to our home to deliver and replace the windshield wipers (they didn’t have them in stock at the time we left to bring the car home) to make sure the vehicle was safe to drive for my daughter, heading back to college in the snow. He is a lovely human being through and through; caring and a great sense of humor.

I was assisting my teenage daughter in purchasing her first car, which she was paying for independently. Based on a recommendation, we visited A Better Way Auto. My daughter found a vehicle she was interested in online, and she scheduled an appointment to view it. We received confirmation texts for the appointment. However, upon arriving at the dealership, we were informed that no appointment had been scheduled. Despite this, the staff, including Salesperson Anna and her trainee Andrew, proceeded to assist us. Anna assured us that financing would be approved with a $1,600 down payment. We were told that the down payment would serve as a deposit while the dealership worked on securing financing, and that we would return the next day to complete the paperwork. After signing the documents, the dealership would perform a safety inspection on the vehicle, address any issues, and we would be able to pick up the car on either Wednesday or Friday (Thursday being a holiday). On Monday, we did not hear from Anna, so we attempted to follow up. She returned our call and informed us that they were still working on securing financing and promised to follow up on Tuesday. However, Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with no communication, despite our repeated phone calls. On Friday, we were informed that the financing application had been declined due to a lack of credit history. Anna explained that she had known since Monday but did not know how to communicate this. We were then presented with the options of either receiving a refund of the $1,600, providing a larger down payment, or selecting a less expensive car. Given the lack of communication and the overall experience, we opted for a refund. We were told that the refund would be processed and should appear in our account within 3-5 business days. However, it has now been four weeks, and the refund has not been received. Anna informed us that she submitted the refund request to the finance department, but the finance department claims that no such request has been received. In response, we contacted our bank, provided the relevant text message documentation, and initiated a dispute. In summary, the lack of transparency and communication throughout this process has been extremely frustrating. It is clear that the dealership's handling of the situation may be considered exploitative, particularly in dealing with young, first-time car buyers.

I bought a 2019 Mazda CX-5. Only complaint at the time of purchase was too much pressure to buy costly and unwanted extras. I was glad for the 60-day warranty since there was an issue with one of the wheels. Service was very pleasant and fixed the issue pretty quickly. Over all a decent experience and I'm real happy with this vehicle.

Not only did I leave with what I feel was a very fair deal, working with Lya made the process feel easy! From start to finish, she was informative, easygoing, and genuinely pleasant to work with. She answered my questions clearly and never made me feel rushed or pressured. Lya was responsive, helpful, and transparent throughout the process, and she made what can be a stressful experience feel straightforward and manageable. She also went above and beyond after the sale. I accidentally left my EZ Pass in my trade-in, and she took care of mailing it back to me without hesitation. This was the second vehicle that we purchased from A Better Way Auto. For this latest purchase, we visited the dealership knowing exactly which car we wanted to look at after finding it online. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by Ohanis, who continued to be our sales rep for the duration of the purchasing process. Ohanis did a great job working with us in getting the deal closed and the car ready for delivery. A special shout out to Scott with their financial department for securing a fantastic rate for us! Overall, A Better Way Auto, and specifically Ohanis, have earned our business on both accounts, and we'll be sure to visit them again for our next future vehicles.

I had a good experience at A Better Way Wholesale Autos starting from the minute I walked in, without a confirmed appointment as the referring website Car Gurus didn’t actually connect me. It was the last hour of the day and Lya Hoyt welcomed me and immediately located the cars I was interested in. She was respectful and did not attempt to pressure me. This company has a huge and fast moving inventory. As some people have mentioned, cars for sale aren’t always in tip top shape for the test drive, but A Better Way will have generated a repair list before a car is handed to the customer if repairs are needed. It’s very important to review the Car Fax report before making a decision and to do your own online review, as the sales agents can’t possibly know the hundreds of cars they have on hand. I’m very happy with the sales team, Lya and Scott, with the professional, detailed and transparent purchasing process, the selection at fair prices, and with the actual car I chose. However, be prepared to wait as the cars are off site and need to be retrieved. The test drive is with the sales agent in the car and is not going to be very comprehensive—it will be a drive around the block. Give yourself plenty of time on pick up day as well and ask questions if you don’t understand something. I think A Better Way offers unbeatable affordable used cars and provides an experience that is fair for everyone, but you have to come prepared with a short list of cars to test drive AND do your homework about these makes and models to be able to make a good decision.

They had me waiting 3 weeks for a car that I purchased. According to them they couldn't fix the trunk which was broken upon purchase. Once I picked up the car after 3 weeks I was told the plastic panel on the trunk broke while it was being repaired but they would fix the panel. Saleperson told me they had ordered the panel & will reach out to me once the part arrives. I never received a call back from them nor did they answer my calls. It was pretty much like "you are on your own now. Terrible experience, stay away!

I had surprisingly a very good experience at The Better Way Auto. Used car sales people have a bad reputation but Lya Hoyt demonstrates don’t believe what you hear. She was very patient with my decision of choices. I felt comfortable with her, she made the car buying experience enjoyable. I have children that are approaching driving age and I’ll be looking for Lya for their first car. I’m also happy with the dodge charger I picked up from her. Thank you Lya! I did not like the Experience at all. I drove 1,5 hrs there for an appointment I had and was shown a 2024/40k milage car. And the car was in horrible condition. They said they fixes and Serviced the car but it did not Look like it. The car smelled horrible. Filters where dirty, the motor was not truning on/off right and it gave me a weird gut feeling. I was then Shown two other cars that were similar in price/years and again horrible smell, ripped seat Pockets, broken vents at the AC, and one was actually missing parts. Totally different what was shown in the Pictures online. I then was left alone with the car because my Dealer had other clients. However, the other Australian Guy Jamie was nice and actually asked me what exactly I was looking for.

On October 24, 2025 I had a great experience with two different sales people their names are Johnny Monell and Lya Hoyt they each took their time out with me and explain information about the SUV as well as taking the vehicle for a test drive including the paperwork. They also keep me in touch of what steps I needed to take and at the end of the progress everything went smoothly. Thanks to Better Way training their staff with great personalities and knowing their vehicle they are selling to customers this is my second vehicle I finance but my fourth vehicle I thank you for your service Tanisha Bunch Dunaway

Alright, so, I just bought a beautiful Jeep Compass from your organization. What a gem you have with Anna Gill. I experienced immediate comfort working with her and I gotta tell you felt like old friends. She knows exactly what she is doing and how to make your needs supercede anything. Meanwhile, I was going to go home to come pick my Jeep up later that week and she said, yeah, no, your driving it home, right now, tonight, and, guess what, thanks to her, I did!!! I love her style and would employ her in my establishment anytime or anywhere, without hesitation, and would ALWAYS consider her one of my best business decisions ever!!!

Over all Im very satisfied with my experience. Working with Antonio was great he was attentive and easy to deal with. Josh the finance guy was just as good personable and friendly. My only complaint is there business model. They don't fix the cars until the vehicle is signed for. Apparently they are a wholesale dealership. The original suv i was going to buy didnt work out between waiting for parts, a holiday, and the weekend it was a 11 day ordeal. After the fix it still needed work so I went for a different suv on the lot. After the switch it was smooth sailing. Basically if you choose this dealership you might not walk away with a car the same day. All in all I'd go back.

I purchased a toyota rav4 from this establishment. Off the bat I went in knowing the reviews and the lawsuit situation. I went specifically to see this car that was advertised online. It had super low miles and was in really good shape and I think that is the key here. Now this place is hectic, super busy with lots going on. The inside seems a bit disorganized and the lot where they keep the cars is something I've never seen before. If you decide to visit this place I highly recommend having time and patience. Angel had helped me with my experience the whole time. He even managed to take me to see it and test drive it even though he had mentioned it was his day off. Super grateful for his time and honesty. It's been a few weeks with the car and I haven't run into any serious issues. Off the lot and on the way home I did realize the tires might need to be balanced but besides that it runs great considering it was an older car and sold as is. Id also like to mention the body of the car did have some damage but I was willing to take it like that but to my surprise when we picked up the car the damage was fixed. I am happy and thankful with my purchase and with my experience with Angel. Thank you!

ABSOLUTELY RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I have purchased 2 cars from this location, the first car was a BMW that immediately developed issues, the dealership did not issue a warranty so I took it on the chin and fixed the car myself. Fast forward to now, I clearly did not learn from my first experience with these scam artist, I purchased a Ford F-150, I addressed some minor issues before purchasing the truck, they told me they had “repaired it” before I took it out of the lot. The car overall seemed better so I purchased it, boy was I wrong… the truck had a list of OBVIOUS issues, I brought it back for them to work on it, they told me it was fixed, I went and got it and almost none of the problems appeared to be fixed.. I spent $1000 on a rental for 3 weeks while my truck sat in a parking lot while they “waited for parts”, THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE OR HELP WITH THE RENTAL FEES and now I have to bring the truck back and it will probably have to sit again and I’ll most likely have to pay more money for a rental … please please please do your due diligence… if the truck isn’t completely repaired this time, I will be contacting my attorney and office of CT Attorney General. Complete scam and let’s not talk about how it is when you want to cancel your gap insurance and extended warranty CRAP.. they only sell CRAP.. which is why they have an open HUGE lawsuit…
