I went to do my emissions and was surprised when I walked in the door. The showroom has so much to look at from antique vehicles to farm equipment. The couches are very comfortable; the people are very friendly and service was excellent. Have since brought my vehicle in for oil changes etc. and have not been disappointed! Will continue to go there for everything vehicle related!! Job well done.!!!

I've brought two of my vehicle here for maintenance checks. First one being a car I was buying. They found things the dealership did not disclose to me. My second one was brought in for a safety check as my daughter and grandchildren were getting ready for a long road trip. They were thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. The service manager Tj Mallon consistently gave me updates as the cars were being worked on. I highly recommend them for any service you need on your vehicles and I will be taking my cars there for any work that may be needed in the future.

We had a completely satisfying experience when we bought a used car here last week. John, Sue and Arielle were all professional and personable. The combination of good humor and wise counsel made the purchase process tension-free and seamless.

This review was a long time coming. I bought a used Toyota Rav4 at the Saybrook Auto Barn four years ago and had a fantastic experience. No pressure, fair pricing, good clean cars. The best part is that my Rav4 has run PERFECTLY since I bought it; not a single problem. These folks sell great used cars in excellent shape. You can trust them.

I didn't know anything about the Saybrook Auto Barn before a few weeks ago. I did however know TJ Mallon the service manager and brought him a car I purchased from Carvana to inspect. TJ and Abe brought me under the car to show me all of the things Carvana clearly missed on including things plain to the naked eye. Queue TJ working tirelessly to work with the warranty company to get things fixed and he kept me in the loop the entire time. It was a headache to deal with and he buffered me from it wonderfully. In the end I realized I needed to return the car to Carvana and purchase another car, that's where John Higgins came in and worked his financial magic to help me move forward from the headache that was the previous purchase attempt into a significantly better vehicle at a rate I was happy to get. I plan to bring all of my vehicles to TJ and his team to get serviced going forward and look forward to enjoying my new (to me) CX 5 and leaving the headaches of buying elsewhere behind me. Between TJ, John, Arielle, and Abe I was taken care of throughout the whole process despite throwing curveballs and roadblocks in every which way at them. To be brief though the entire staff from front desk to sales to mechanics/service techs were pleasant and helpful and helped me feel both comfortable and confident in the decisions I had to make despite how frustrated I was with the situation in the beginning. I would recommend the Saybrook Auto Barn for sure if for no other reason than how much I was allowed to make decisions without pressure and with full support from the teams there.

What a pleasant experience! Can not express enough what a pleasure it was buying a car from Saybrook Auto Barn. I purchased the most beautiful, low mileage, clean inside and out, dream car. John was awesome and professional and easy to deal with. Service manager, TJ, was very pleasant with a great personality. I felt like family. I test drove the car Thursday night and drove it home Saturday morning. They did all the footwork/paperwork, easy peasy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It was a great experience they made me feel welcomed and attended to me pretty quickly. Buying a car is meant to feel stressful and overwhelming trying to make sure it you didn’t get ripped of but not at Autobarn. James the front desk representative was very helpful he showed me my options and let me test drive very patient and good guy. If you need a car go to Autobarn they are amazing people trying to set you up with a car.

I brought my car in for AC repair. Jerry was fantastic and accommodating. He called me to let me know about the cost and fit us in for an appointment fast. He was fair and honest. They offered me a few different options and walked me through the process. They made it easy to understand and did quick work. I would have the team down there work on my car anytime.

Smooth, no-pressure, professional experience from start to finish. We were given time and space to examine and test-drive the vehicle on our own. After putting the deposit down, Aaron worked with us to address any concerns we had before picking up the vehicle (which was ready right on time). Communication was prompt and thorough, and we had our new-to-us car within two days. I couldn't speak more highly of this dealership and of Aaron specifically. We will be back!

Saybrook Auto Barn is a rare visit for 5 star customer service. The staff from the receptionist, owner, salesman and mechanics. Everyone was professional, helpful in answering questions and explaining repairs needed. My 2002 Toyota Tacoma is my Baby. I can honestly say I didnt recognize it when I left. It drives better than new. Like It really does!!! These guys are in demand and worth the wait in gold. Although there is a wait. Its mainly because there’s alot of eople also waiting in line and unfortunately a backup in parts because of the supply chain issues. The owner and staff are apolagetic and sincere and do everything right. I’ll definitely be returning and will reccomend them to the world! :)

From the moment I contacted them about scheduling to come down to look at the car, to the final purchasing of the vehicle, everything was professional and relaxing. I can’t recommend this auto shop enough! I just recently purchased my first vehicle here and let me begin by saying the process was wonderful and easy! I was sold the vehicle by a great man named Rick. He first allowed me to hold the vehicle with a very small deposit while I ran some numbers with my partner and our insurance company. As expected since the vehicle is used, the back bumper of the vehicle had a few scratches and we were able to negotiate and get a paint correction done on my vehicle without any additional charges! He was very patient with me and my work schedule as my job practically opens and closes at the same time the auto shop does, he kept me up to date on when everything was going to get done to the vehicle and how the paint correction ended up, he was very personable and explained everything in great detail as I was new to this entire process, and he was not pushy on us HAVING to purchase a vehicle through them. I was able to get my dream vehicle in a professional but comfortable manner and I couldn’t be happier! I also overheard a few customers coming in to get basic maintenance done on their vehicles and they also do emissions! They’ve got it all! Stopped into this place today to have something checked on my car and they fit me right in. Everyone was beyond friendly from the moment I stepped into the door. The place was immaculate and the waiting room was decorative. They even gave my dog treats. I highly recommend. I will be returning for my next oil change and any of my automatics needs.

Saybrook Auto Barn has renewed my faith that an honest and ethical dealership does exist. I cannot say enough good things about Seth and his team. I wasted weeks with one shady dealership after another. I was about to give up when I called Saybrook Auto Barn. The owner Gary answered the phone. Very frustrated I asked him if they did all the unethical things that the other dealerships do- like charge for VIN etching when it’s already been done twice. Gary said “I’m the owner and we absolutely do not do any of those things”. I made an appointment to see Seth. Saybrook Auto Barn is clean and beautiful. I was not attacked by sales people when I walked in. We looked at all the cars on the lot then I went inside for assistance. Seth was incredible. He was honest and honestly went above and beyond. They allowed me to use my own financing with no up-charge. In fact, there were no hidden charges of any kind. Seth texted me daily with updates and on my bday I picked up my new car. Because they were so great with no hidden fees, I was able to afford an even nicer car. I could go on and on. Never in my life did I think I would write a review about a car dealership. I think everyone should know there is a great dealership out there. I have already referred my friends. Thank you, Seth, Brenda and Gary for a great experience!

Writing reviews isn't normally my thing, but I wanted to make an exception in this case to keep spreading the positive word. Overall a car buying experience can be a real roll of the dice. The experience at Saybrook Auto Barn was fantastic - top to bottom. In doing my research ahead of time they really seem to try their very best to bring a quality automobile to the lot. It doesn't appear that the buyer simply wants to put cars out front - they want quality product. I also found, before buying, that their prices seemed very fair. Once I got to the vehicle I was considering it only got better. Seth made the overall buying experience a breeze. Fair price, no pressure, and got my financing done without a hassle (even with credit that wasn't perfect). I've NEVER had a smoother car buying experience. Once purchased I found a minor issue (driver side heated seat) with the vehicle. I spoke with Bill in the Service Dept and he had me taken care of without delay. Even my contact with the team that works the front have all been great. They are friendly and personable. I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a quality vehicle. Went in for my emissions, they were pretty good! However, I have a standard car and the mechanic stalled it several times. Inside is pretty neat, i used to go here when it was NAPA Auto Parts. Small garage, but I bet they do a fine job when they have you car.
