Fantastic service and easy drop off. Friendly service over the phone - answered all of my questions that I'm sure they get asked all the time, and were very helpful with directions, where to go, and what to do.

A bit confusing for our first time in this facility. But will go back everyone was so nice and very helpful.

Super friendly staff. They gave my kids a tour of the entire lot. They explained what they did and answered all of their questions. I really appreciated that they took the time to do it! Thank You!

Excellent crew! Never an issue taking my cans and assorted steels in. Thanks CIR!

We have rental properties and commercial space and we needed to get rid of some appliances. My assistant got a couple bids and they were over $400 for a kitchen's worth of stuff, with the added inconvenience of having to take the stuff to them! I contacted a friend, and I am so grateful he recommended Colorado Industrial Recycling. They came with a container, we loaded it, and we were done. Couldn't have been a better experience.

Low balled on a hundred pounds of aluminium. Given shavings price (24$) for chunks. Better prices downtown (59$) for a similar box.

First off, I'd like to say that the staff here was great. They are friendly and helpful. I have no complaints about that side of the business at all. However, the way they do things is frustrating. 1st, they don't accept all the material. Im scrapping 2 demoed ice machines every day. They wouldn't accept an empty steel recovery cylinder. They didn't take the compressor. They dont take any metals under 10 lbs. ( for example: If you bring in 9.5 lbs of #1 copper and 0.5 lbs of #2, they will only pay you if you combine them, and then they degrade the pile to all #2.) If you bring in 7 lbs of yellow brass like i did, they won't even accept it. Because the scale can't register anything under 10 lbs. Their payout is also on the low end out of the 17 different scrap yards I have been to in the last 4 month. (Most in the Denver region) This one pays the lest. At $3.10 for #2 copper. The best I found was paying $3.90 in Denver. With the average scrap yard paying $3.49. Unfortunately I wasn't able to scrap my #1 copper, aluminum side panels, brass, compressor, or my steel recovery cylinder as they either don't take it or it was under the min 10 lbs weight requirement. This means I still need to go to another scrap yard to get rid of the rest of my load. Because of this, I can't recommend this location for the average scrapper... In response to the reply. Not accepting metals under 10 lbs makes sense if that's all they brought in. But when a scrapper breaks down anything, it's going to have various metals and weights. To refuse the 7 bls if yellow brass when I also had 40+ lbs of #2 copper is ridiculous. Forcing people to go to multiple scrap yards will always yield negative feedback. As far as recovering the refrigerant goes. I am certified to do so. But it didn't matter at the end of the day. The bottom line is this. There are better places with less hassle to go through.

Better than another scrap yard and pleasantly surprised by Mr Francis was extremely patient and helpful when explaining how to further separate our scrap. Ms Kim on the scales super happy and all smiles. All the guys in the yard were happy and helpful too. We weren't treated as dumb being females. They are locally owned also, definitely recommend and will return next time.

Wow. What phenomenal customer service! We pulled in and parked and were warmly greeted. The guys gave us simple kind instructions on where to go, and every person we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Very nice place and we will back.

I pulled in with a lot of stuff. I wish I knew the name of the guy that helped me but he was super helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend they are efficient and the prices are usually pretty good

Don't get your windshield broken out by one of these trucks. The driver lied and acted like it's not possible to drop stuff out of the back of these trucks. Got a baseball size hole in my windshield and the truck driver that can't see behind him is denying breaking my windshield. Their insurance company is a scam and won't even cover the damage. Talked to Andy ORiley to help resolve this but not like it's his windshield so why should he care! Thanks for the broken windshield that I now have to replace! Train your employees better or put covers on your loads. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.

Went there for the first time and was not sure how it worked the gentleman that was in the back unloading my truck and I really did appreciate that when I went to go cash out I was told that they do not have to unload my truck and I was informed that Mike in the yard is the one that did it and I really appreciate it cuz he did not have to. Very friendly staff

So unless you pay for recycling, which in Colorado Springs it's a joke, it is almost impossible to find a place to drop off your aluminum cans without walking away wondering why you went through all this effort. I've searched and tried different places and pretty much received the same experience that most people have reported. I decided to try Colorado Industrial Recycling to see if I would get a better experience and I did. Very simple straightforward and in and out real fast. For those wanting to recycle aluminum cans, here's what you do. As soon as you pull in, to the left of you are some parking spots. Park there and grab a blue rollaway container. Empty your bags into that container. Do not leave them in their bags. Aluminum cans only. Do not include foil or soup cans or anything that contained food in it. Soda and beer cans are an acceptable example. Next, roll the container up to the middle where the office/scale is and wait for someone to approach you. Make sure you have your ID available you'll need it to get your money. And that's it. I was in and out in the matter of minutes. Cashier was super friendly. Better experience here then anywhere else. I will definitely recommend and come back.

THEY'LL RIP YOU OFF. DON'T GO HERE. Current steel national average = $170/ton Current tin national average = $155/ton Brought 1.5 ton of steel which included rotors (national average $220/ton), computer parts (national average depending on parts $1.50-$10/lb), dryers (national average $0.60/lb). This place lumped everything together, called it tin and paid out WAY BELOW NATIONAL AVERAGE at $30/ton. Completely ripped us off.

Absolutely awful first and last experience here, only thing nice here was the lady in the scalehouse. Awful pricing, and when I addressed a situation it was Absolutely poorly handled by the people in the office. Would not recommend absolutely anyone to this location.

A fantastic place to drop off your metals for recycling! They are very organized and all the employees are friendly and helpful. Their process was easy to follow and fast! Just a great experience and I can't recommend them enough - A+!

I always enjoy bringing scrap here. They are all very knowledgeable about the different types of metals and are not shy to educate people about which metals are worth more than others. They make sure you get the most out of your scrap. I highly recommend talking to Aaron about that. Kim in the office is such a sweetheart. Always great service with a smile and isn’t afraid to strike up conversation and makes an awesome impression upon this company.

Such an easy and fast process for getting some cash for scrap metal. Every time I go the scale house employees are so pleasant, so professional with a smile on their face.

Just dropped off my old broken freestanding range. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. I will be using their services again in the future.

The worst place to go if you're scrapping aluminum. Had over 1000 lbs of clean extruded aluminum and I got 38 cents a pound. Please i urge anyone who just wants a fair price for their metals to go to Koscove i get around 1000 lbs of aluminum every month so i frequent all the scrap yards in the springs. Also i should add even at 38 cents i still walked away with less than $380 so anyone with a logical mind would understand there is something so wrong with this place!

Needed to get rid of an old washing machine. I was faced with paying someone to come haul it off, then I found Colorado Industrial Recycling who not only took the old washer off my hands (and out of my garage), but they paid me to boot! The staff was very helpful and courteous.

Rarely uses recycling center. Tried CIR for the first time. We didn’t know their procedures but someone got us started. Plenty of workers around and most importantly friendly. Didn’t have any issue getting any help. Place is organized. We got help unloading our stuffs too. FYI for new customers: upon entering, left side parking is for customers. This where you can get out of your vehicle to ask for help if no one is already coming to help you.

So far it’s a nice place. I haven’t been here a whole lot but now that American Iron & Metal moves to their crappy location I’m starting to bring my business here. The guys are very nice about communicating where to go and help you back up and unload. The girls at the weigh station sometimes are nice but sometimes they seem grouchy. I try to bring a smile and a positive attitude when I walk in but it doesn’t seem to help their day. I will still come back here and scrap with them.

The only place I like going to. They get me weighed in, dumped, and give me a check without a hassle. The ladies at the weigh station/front desk are great and the yard guys are great as well.

These folks apparently don't believe in covers for their trucks. That means the guy traveling down the highway this morning managed to throw something that chipped my brand new windshield. Thanks guys.

Seriously good service. Just took my car there to scrap. They not only offered the best price, but they were super helpful and guided me everywhere I needed to go. I seriously recommend them.
