The frustration with Apple comes from how tightly they control iMessage. It simply will not function outside their ecosystem. Microsoft cannot legally integrate deeper because Apple does not expose the needed system access. So Phone Link ends up feeling broken when really it is restricted. This is not a bug. It is intentional platform control.

As a decades owner of apple products, the cost is sickening when the fragility is trash. The abrupt shut downs of money accounts is robbery. The constant upgrades is sickening. One thinks they bought the last to only be burnt and new model arrives day after. Our poor finger joints being destroyed... such a great name, treating humanity horrible. The blocking of incoming emails is sickening, evil and trashy when others dont do that..

What a truly disappointing experience I had at this place. I came in to replace my screen protector, something that should’ve been quick and easy, but I ended up with the wrong protector applied to my phone. The manager then gave me two dry options: 1. get a refund, but only after they remove the protector that’s already on my phone, and then I’d have to wait an unknown amount of time for the store to maybe get the correct one (if they even do), or 2. keep the wrong protector and get no money back (and that is after they have already removed my old screen protector). I was upset and disappointed, and instead of trying to help or at least listen to me, the manager simply walked away and left the employee to deal with the situation. Apparently that’s how business is done here - no empathy, no attempt to correct mistakes, just “take it or leave it.” I genuinely don’t understand how this person is a manager. Please provide customer service training to him, especially on how to speak to customers and show basic empathy, because the difference between the employee who helped me and the manager was huge.

My phone service stopped working (no incoming or outgoing calls) even though everything else works (text, FaceTime, etc.), so I came to the Apple Store during business hours and was told that no technician was available to diagnose my issue because they were “having an event.” I’m a teacher and have a busy schedule so I expect the Apple Store to fulfill its normal support services during their published business hours rather than prioritizing publicity events. Very frustrating.

Absolutely worst experience trying to change a screen here!!!!!! They completely wiped my phone without clears tell me it’s gonna happen. Just because I was on beta software. I could have go back to different software or create a backup on computer if they tell me specifically a full wipe out will happen! I know I signed the data loss waiver but why on earth would I expect someone wipe a phone for screen replacement! Also the fix was delayed. The informed time is always not clear.

This is an amazing Apple Store location. It was not as crowded as I thought during my visit, which was on a Christmas midday. The iPhones were delicately placed to showcase an attractive scene/definitely a looker. The staff were absolutely very friendly and helpful too. For some reason, staff at Apple Stores have been significantly more kind compared to other electronics stores (such as Samsung, LG, etc. though it doesn’t quite exist in the US). Overall, I had a great experience.

Got my new iPhone 17 Pro Max. Jason (Supervisor) - knowledgeable & helpful. Celeste - trainee, limited knowledge Alina - was outstanding, genuinely helpful and customer-focused. She made my day. Thank you, ALINA!

Read the fine print and verify they are doing what you ask! When upgrading my iPhone that I have through the iPhone upgrade program, I got the new phone in the mail over a week before the return box for the existing phone came. Because I had a 2 week trip to SF that I was leaving for before the box came, I brought the old phone with me and turned it in at this store. I specifically said several times that I was returning the phone as part of the iPhone upgrade program, however, they processed it as a "Trade In" and credited $580 to my credit card instead of closing out the loan with Citizen's Bank, which still had a remainder of $780. Returning the old iPhone should have closed the loan and paid off the remainder of the balance. I've sat on the phone for 5+ hours trying to explain this to customer support and they were not able to resolve it. They said I'd have to go back to the store to have them reverse the transaction, which because I don't live in SF, would require a 4hr flight. Not happening. I've resolved that Apple basically stole $200 from me due to a mistake of their employee, but my time is not worth fighting it anymore.

After a year of very careful use of a $1450 watch, this is the condition of the strap. No chemicals, not even a pool or water! After waiting for an hour, I found an employee (no one even asked me why I was standing there for an hour) who introduced himself as a supervisor and said that since the warranty was over a month old, they would not do anything for me! We are talking about Apple and the Apple Watch with very, very low quality and very poor customer service.

Terrible terrible customer service! I wanted try the new VR they have. An associate told me to sign up for the 1:30 session. So I did. After waiting well over 10 minutes and at 1:36 there were no associates in sight! When finally I did receive customer services the lady wanted me to wait longer for someone else to come and assist me. Severely unprofessional!! Need proper training on how to tell and keep track of time!!

Sarah was impatient and refused my old iphone trade in. I asked to buy the black iPhone 17 Pro, but she said they didn't have the black one and gave me a white one. At Genius Bar, they refused to help me, so I completed the data transfer and activation of eSim on my own.

Came in to use the Genius Bar. Was told someone could help in twenty minutes or so. Sat and waited for close to an hour, but was never greeted. Staff didn’t seem to have any organization and appeared to help others who didn’t have an appointment instead. Very frustrating experience.

Great service and very friendly staff! The team was professional, helpful, and made the whole experience smooth and easy. Definitely recommend this Apple Store!

I’ve never had a good experience at this place. Today I came on time for my appointment and waited 20min without getting any help. When I asked the schedule person, they told me the person in front of me has been waiting for over an hour. As if that solves my problem? And then they asked me how do I expect them to help me? Is that a question you should ask your customer? Whoever manages this Apple Store should be demoted so a more competent person can run this place. It’s usually a mess inside and unclear who can be asked for help. The technicians are fine but the management really feels missing here.

Worst experience ever. I went to the Apple Store at Union Square in San Francisco today, hoping to get the black iPhone Air. When I mentioned this, the employee questioned why I was choosing black and pointed out that the black models had scratches on them. He suggested I try the white or other colors instead. I also mentioned that I wanted to trade in my old iPhone and use Apple Card payments to purchase the new one. He told me I needed to set it up right then, but I said I’d prefer to do it at home. He then informed me that I’d have 14 days to trade in my phone. He also mentioned that the phone purchased with Apple Card payments would be locked to a selected carrier for 30 days. I disagreed, saying the phone should be unlocked, but he insisted it would be locked for that period. He then consulted with other employees, but eventually told me the store was closing and I had to leave. Before I left, he said the phone would be at full price initially, but that I’d get the full trade-in value later. When I pointed out that the trade-in was showing lower monthly payments, he rudely responded, “What’s not to understand? Why aren’t you getting it?” Overall, he gave me a lot of incorrect information, was rude, and wasted my time, so I had to leave without buying the phone. I was really disappointed.

I got my problem resolved at Apple Union Square. It was something really simple - my IPhone screen was unresponsive. I tried to make an appointment for the Genius Bar at the Apple Union Square store - couldn’t do it. The issue I ran up against is that I needed to logon my Apple account. Then the prompts wanted to send an authentication text to my IPhone. Welp - that’s a problem, isn’t it? Luckily, I can get to the store by bus. I know I have to go to the second floor (from previous needs) to purchase or fix something. The two staffers with IPAD minis were talking with customers. They seemed to be having good person-to-person customer service - a big change from previous years. I waited patiently. Then one became free. Rose was able to help me - I said simple problem, right? She did a hard reset of my IPhone by pressing the up button on the left-hand side then the down button. Next she pressed and held the Right-side power up button until the Apple logo appeared. It did the job - hooray! I guess now I know. Glad the store is nearby! Glad it is a safe space for Apple customers - good security! They also have a spacious area for classes too. Happy ending!

Apple Union Square is one of the most impressive Apple Stores I’ve visited. Located right in the heart of San Francisco, the building is spacious, modern, and beautifully designed with huge glass doors and a welcoming public plaza. The staff were helpful and friendly amazing place for tech lovers and curious visitors alike! I came from Asia and I was wondering if I can exchange my old IPhone 14 Plus to a new IPhone or not. But the staff was very helpful to helped me exchanged the old one to the new one and how to keep my data as well. So if you are a tourist but a tech lover you can consider to get yourself a new IPhone or any Apple product from here which is very easy, safe and cheaper.

I had to get my Apple iPhone Battery replaced out of warranty. Made an appointment last week online. Dropped off the phone with Maria at the Genius Bar upstairs at in the morning. 2 hours later, the screen was replaced for free and my phone had a new battery. Michael returned my phone to me after notifying me via email, and I was out the door! The entire process was seamless, quick, and easy. I highly recommend Maria, Michael, and the Union Square Apple Store team for any maintenance or purchases. Looking forward to returning and checking out some products soon. Also the store design is top notch. The bay doors that open facing Post Street offer a panoramic view of Union Square that makes for a very inviting, clean, and elegant space.

Apple Union Square is one of the most impressive Apple Stores I’ve visited. Located right in the heart of San Francisco, the building is spacious, modern, and beautifully designed with huge glass doors and a welcoming public plaza. We stopped in during our walk through Union Square and enjoyed the open layout and calm atmosphere. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, offering quick assistance and product demos. Tip: Even if you’re not planning to buy, it’s worth stepping inside to see the architecture and use the public seating or free Wi-Fi. Great for tech lovers and curious visitors alike!

Large 2 story Apple store with all the latest devices. The 1st floor is sales and demo units. The 2nd floor is for training, pop-up demos and has the giant led screen showing various devices. Very busy as it is in Union Square, but cool place to visit.

Alec was very unprofessional during my visit. I drove all the way from Sacramento to San Francisco to finance an iPhone 16 Pro Max, arriving at the store 30 minutes before closing, at 7:30 PM which they close at 8 PM. I asked if I could try the Apple Vision Pro, and after checking with his supervisor, Alec told me I could. As I was trying the Vision Pro, I noticed it was getting close to closing time, so I suggested we wrap it up and proceed with the iPhone purchase. Alec reassured me, saying "take your time, trust me, you'll get the phone" and continued showing me more features of the Vision Pro. However, when I finished, it was 8:05 PM, and we proceeded to check out. While I was trying to find my carrier information, Alec suddenly became impatient, repeatedly telling me to hurry up as they were closing. I reminded him of his earlier promise, but he rudely stated that he wasn’t going to sell me the phone. Feeling mistreated, I asked for a supervisor, who apologized but didn’t address Alec's behavior. The supervisor was also unhelpful, which left me feeling frustrated. Ultimately, I decided to purchase the phone in full just to end the unpleasant experience. They owe me an apology for the way I was treated, and I believe some form of compensation is warranted for both the rude service and the time they wasted during my visit.

It’s an Apple store, which has their classic minimalist design, with all their products, and very many accessories and adapters, on display. You can try on a Vision Pro, get your laptop fixed, or learn what Safari is.

8.24.24- Just got my Air Podspro replaced due to the noise canceling wasn’t working, with my extended warranty the whole process took less than 10 minutes, so easy peasy! This is a big, two story Apple Store, retail sales on the ground floor and Apple Genius Bar and learning center on the second level. Was looking for Beats noise canceling earbuds and they offers clean/resealed to try on to test the fits on my own ears and to hear how they sounded. The store was too quiet so couldn’t tell if the noise canceling was good or not😄 But I feel safe using clean earbuds that was sanitized before I stick it in my ear. The guy helping me was nice and friendly but wasn’t too knowledgeable on the Beat earbuds 😅

I went there with my family member who needed a new Apple device. I had just to wait and also charge my phone. There is a waiting area downstairs but there are no chargers there. I had to ask staff where i can sit and charge my phone while waiting. Apparently, there is an area on the second cloor, but there are no comfortable chairs to sit. Only stools and charges need an US adaptor. For some reasons they do not have usb ones. I was sitting bext to elderly prople who hardly were able toclimb these stools. How on Earth one of the richest companies in the world does not care about their clients? I had to wait about 30-40 min and could not find any water. Thirsty, sitting uncomfortably on a stool- this is not how I imagined Apple store. Very bad review and as Apple company you need to take care of your customers better. Despite I have been Apple customer for over decade., I have not found you customer-friendly in this store. And I guess all other stores are the same.

The Apple Store at Union Square is filled with the latest technology of the company. Testing the Vision Pro goggles was extraordinary. Half hour of gestures and immersive experiences. Cannot wait for what the future holds.

Great place Great service The best and most profutable place to purchase your apple products from. You can get there a 100% rich information about what you plan to purchase. Sit, drink some coffee and ask all what you need. The store also located in the middle of the Union Square so you can visit it while shopping arround. Its a familiar shopping zone surrounded by hundreds of brands. So i recommend this place. No free parking arround. The prices are the best in comparison with other apple products in other stores.

Clean and classy interior, helpful staff, and neat displays make this store a nice place to visit. I'm an Android and Windows user mainly, but I like seeing what Apple has to offer. This store allows people to test out the latest devices and the knowledgeable employees do their best to answer all your questions. There are events/demonstrations on the second level, accessed via stairways. Also, they have outlets if you'd like to charge a device. Overall, I recommend stopping by to window-shop or shop-shop.

Somewhat underwhelming. It is under renovation at this time but what is left is a single floor of Apple products and nothing more to explore. There is a lovely courtyard outside with benches and tables and that’s not a bad thing … weather dependant of course. One would expect something more iconic in Apple’s home city at the very least.

Incredible! This is the best way to describe this store. The building is spacious and bright. The experience of being in a building with so much energy was amazing. I can’t afford any Apple products personally but I use and repair Apple products in the school where I minister, St, Elizabeth Elementary School in Oakland, CA. We receive all of our Apple products from the Oakland Unified School District because our school wouldn’t be able to afford Apple products either. Any way, I really liked trying/touching the products. I’m fascinated by the new technology. The employees were very helpful and patient. I also really enjoyed watching the employees help the guests. I was intrigued by the class that was being taught on the second floor. The space was large with nice, comfortable furniture and could accommodate a lot of people. The instructor taught the class as if there were a room full of people participating but only my friend and I were paying attention and a kid playing on the furniture. We asked questions and appreciated the instructors knowledge and enthusiasm. I noticed that even though you could see the building well from the street because of the large windows and bright lights, there wasn’t a name on the building. There was only the Apple Logo on the side of the building. I thought that was strange. There is a ramp at the entrance of the store but I don’t know if there is an elevator to the second floor or if there are restrooms. I am a Technology Coordinator at my school and I enjoy creating movies using iMovie. I would be grateful if someone or Apple would donate a laptop or desktop so that I could create even more exciting and interesting projects on my own time at home. I hope to be able to create projects for other nonprofit organizations using Apple products. I think I would be a great advocate for Apple products.
