I was broke down on the side of the highway with a blown tire. No AAA or roadside so I called the local tow company (which by the way was NOT GD Towing). Spoke with a lovely dispatcher who quoted $250 over the phone and stated if different equipment were needed for the tow (dollies, etc.), there would be an additional charge that the tow operator would review on scene. 30 minutes later the truck arrived - I did not catch it was a different tow company by name. We got to my destination and before the 4 wheels were to hit pavement, I was asked for payment. Driver showed me payment details due of $$385.00 which I immediately refused to pay due to the verbal quote from dispatch. I spoke to his "boss" on the phone, which is when I noted GQ Towing as the call name. This was not who I called, which I pointed out. The boss said they are the parent company and take all billing from a few of their smaller operations? Ok, I explained nicely to him the quote I received. He didn't care, he stated it was $385 and the car would not be released. Basically, these clowns pulled a bait and switch with ZERO transparency on their fees. I'm beyond angered at this nonsense and that any oversight company allows these idiots to keep operating. Reporting to the BBB and copying this review everywhere for all to see.
Jimmy and his friend Jose are amazing. They’re professional, came within 15 mins and helped jumpstart the car. Love their service and attitude. Highly recommended.
Jimmy came out and helped when he seen I was stuck with dead battery and then the box wasn’t working with enough charge he left and came back with cables for us great service. Good communication and highly recommended
I was broken down in heavy traffic and Jimmy was a true lifesaver! He was quick to answer the call and provided an accurate ETA within minutes. Once there, he worked very fast to get us safely off the highway. You never want to be in this situation, but if you are, call Jimmy
Gelmer arrived quickly to jump start my car after the battery drained in the garage. Compared to other service providers, the price is pretty high but I was in a rush and he was quick and communicative.
Gelmer was very helpfull and on time. Him and his crew rescued my bus that was stuck on a steep hill. These guys are the best. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Alexander and Gelmer were fantastic and made our experience stress-free. Amazing service and they have all the tools you need for any type of car from Toyotas to BMWs. 100% will call them for any towing needs in the future from SF to East Bay!
Gelmer dubon and jairon helped me out when my vehicle broke down and needed a tow and I had to make a very important meeting to attend. I left my keys and vehicle with these gentlemen and where I wanted the vehicle towed to and they handled the rest with constant communication and the utmost amount of care.
Gelmer and Alexander responded right away and even had to wait patiently as I was delayed in meeting them.
They knew exactly where the closest dealer service location was located and carefully delivered my car and me in great time.

I was stranded in San Francisco last night as my transmission was acting up. After contacting 3 different tow companies with no help and outrageous prices($800-1000), Marco came to tow my car all the way to Stockton within 15 min! He has great customer service and he got my car home with no issues. The price could've been better but it was way better than the other companies! I was very pleased with this tow company and if I ever need it again, they will be the ones I call!
Carlos and Dubon were just the best! My car broke down Saturday night. I thought it would take a few hours, but they were here in just 10 minutes! Great service, great guys, couldn’t have asked for anything more!
Very reputable company and answered outside of business hours. Arrived in 15 minutes and very experienced. Flawless towing and very reliable. He was knowledgeable about body shops and waiting until my mechanic opened for the day. Thank you for the great help!!
