A few weeks ago, my wife and I purchased our leased Hyundai Tucson. David helped us and was absolutely incredible. I truly cannot express how much his genuine kindness, patience and knowledge made us feel comfortable while making this decision. We have all had terrible experiences with sales staff, and he really broke that stereotype ! If you have any questions, David has the answers! Feel confident and informed, ask him to guide you through your next choice!

This dealership just did a complete bait and switch. They posted a car online for $28,400, but then tried to pass the sale price off as $40,000+ and low balled the trade in by $10,000 under kbb trade in vale. This place just wants to rip you off. Don't waste 2 hours of your day like I did and find a new dealer!

Bought a used 2024 F150 from this dealership a little over a month ago. Sales experience was typical but dealer added a aftermarket bed liner since the paint was scratched up on truck bed which was fine but issue is on the poor install. The factory side bed moulding was removed by breaking all the clips and then they added adhesive to set it which would have worked if they applied pressure to mate the surfaces. Piece almost flew off on the freeway. So reached out to Dart the salesman who sold vehicle and sent request for support on their website with no response. I ended up buying the piece from ford today and installing. Also the tail gate screws are coming out from the same install but I’ll get to that later lol. Wouldn’t buy used vehicle at this dealership.

1 Star Review I will begin by saying firstly, that I'm cheap and I'm Chinese. The two don't go very well when your "cheap-chinese" senses detect a scam before your eyes. Those senses came of course, at a cost. I've had my fair share of the experience (scam), but you learn overtime to be more alert and by asking more questions. Now that is out of the way, this review is not directed only at this dealership, but dealerships across the board on how they charge for services. It's also my hope to educate anyone who is not more thorough, to ask better questions before blindly paying for a quote. To help you jump start your education and be better informed, a dealership's biggest cut for gross profit is actually in service and parts. In addition, most people do not understand car mechanics and thus, believe everything the technician says. Thankfully, because I'm cheap and chinese, I've taken courses on basic auto tech in another lifetime, which helped me to be familiar how parts function. My wife recently said car was making sounds. So, I drove it around, thought it was the tires. I went to get my tires checked, thinking that may have been the issue. While at it, tires were about time to replace, so I purchased a new set of tires and hoped that it would have resolved the odd sound I was hearing. A few days passed. I still hear the noise and told the wife, I'm going to bring the car into the dealership and have them check it out. This is where I purchased the car and it should be under warranty. I scheduled an appointment first thing in the morning and took it in right on time. The staff helped me immediately without me having to wait, and so I explained to them the issue. They quoted me a preliminary estimate of $275 for the diagnostic if the issue found is not covered by warranty. After waiting about 4hours, the adviser gave me the bad news. Your car had hit something hard and it bent the strut requiring it to be replaced. Since it was caused by an accident, it will not be covered by warranty. I called my wife and asked her what happened. She said she hit something....and so, that pretty much explained the damaged strut and sound. Went back to the adviser, told them to provide a quote on the repair if I were to get it fixed with them. Out the door, $3,700 for the repair for one strut and $150 for the realignment and with a total cost of over $4,000.... While still in the dealership, I went to look for the OEM Hyundai parts to see how much does it actually cost for parts and estimate on labor. To my biggest surprise, the total cost of parts was about $575.. If I were to add a premium cost to labor at $200/hr and perhaps it taking 2hrs to complete, I should be paying about $1,000. I showed the adviser item for item genuine Hyundai Parts on their site to how much each part cost and questioned how the quote he gave me totaled to $4,000? After waiting a bit longer, he came back with an itemized estimate of about $2,400..Yet after doing an item by item comparison, it was not worth getting the car repaired there. I was so mentally exhausted with this whole thing, I told the adviser, I'm going to just pay the $275 diagnostic and take the car elsewhere to get it repaired. Lessons to takeaway: 1) NEVER hit a pothole. 2) Educate yourself when they quote you on service repairs. 3) Ask them questions and have them itemize everything. 4) Don't trust dealerships. The only reason I went to the dealership was because of the warranty and I thought this would have been covered.

DO NOT GO HERE I purchased a Hyundai Ioniq 5 from this dealership and the experience was misleading and frustrating. I was promised multiple deals and a lower monthly payment, but after reviewing the paperwork, I found several discrepancies between what was promised and what I was charged. The sales staff gave conflicting information and made promises that were not honored, including false claims about tax benefits. Additional fees were added after negotiations, and the final numbers did not add up. I regret purchasing here and recommend going to a more transparent and reputable dealership.

David C was absolutely amazing in helping me get my car. He was patient, professional, and genuinely supportive throughout the entire process. What I appreciated most was how he acted as a mediator and translator between me and my dad. My Korean isn’t the strongest, and my dad’s English isn’t the best, but David made sure we both clearly understood everything and felt comfortable every step of the way. He really went above and beyond to make the experience smooth and stress-free for our family. I’m so grateful for his help and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and truly helpful. Thank you, David!

I had an appt. and Christian Rodriguez was my service advisor. He was friendly and professional. While my recall appt was supposed to take longer it was done in half the time. He kept me updated the whole time.

Frankie at Garden Grove Hyundai was absolutely amazing to work with. From start to finish, his communication was top-notch and he genuinely listened to what worked best for my wife and I. He was transparent, patient, and made sure we understood every part of the deal. This was our third Hyundai dealership, and by far the best experience we had. Frankie worked hard to put together a deal that made sense for us, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Highly recommend asking for him if you’re shopping here!

My daughter found a specific vehicle at this dealership that matched exactly what she was looking for. We scheduled an appointment for 10:00 AM, and at 9:00 AM the same morning, we received a text reminder confirming our appointment — which clearly implied the vehicle was still available. When we arrived, several salespeople approached us at once. We asked specifically for the salesperson assigned to us, MD. He was sitting at his desk and did not initially get up to greet or introduce himself. After a hand gesture, he finally stood up and introduced himself. Even more concerning, he did not know which vehicle we were there to see, despite our scheduled appointment. We had to explain the vehicle details to him again. Only then did he tell us that the car had been sold the night before, and that the buyer supposedly picked it up 30 minutes before our arrival. If the vehicle had already been sold, why were we sent a confirmation text at 9:00 AM reminding us of an appointment to see that exact car? This resulted in a complete waste of our time, gas, and mileage, especially when the dealership was already aware the vehicle was no longer available. This situation could have easily been avoided with a simple phone call or message. The entire experience felt unprofessional, disorganized, and disrespectful. The lack of communication and basic courtesy was extremely disappointing. The least that could have been done was to notify us in advance and offer alternatives before we arrived. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and we expected much better customer service from a Hyundai dealership.

Came in looking for a used car. Numbers seemed fine but I saw they wanted to tack on a Service Contract. I told them I declined and said that it was a requirement by the bank. They were not super happy when I called them out on it being illegal in California to force me to buy one. BUYERS BEWARE it is a DECEPTIVE sales tactic put in place by dealerships to make money when the loan is high risk trust me I know, I work in the industry myself and heads would roll at my work if this happened! Also watch out for the smug comebacks when you try to advocate for yourself.

SHADY! Bring a mechanic if you're buying a car from them. As a single dad of young special need kids I needed a larger car. I bought a used 2021 Sorento and they did not do any inspections or services to the car at all. They will just glue/patch everything up and then blame the customer. Here's my timeline: Dec 17th - purchased 2021 Sorento Dec 18 - EPB light intermittently turned on Dec 19th - EPB light turned off - didn't work that day Dec 20th - EPB light stayed on and called Frankie. He stated to take to Kia for warranty. Dec 26th - took to Tustin Kia and they stated switch was corroded and not covered. Spoke to Frankie and he said he would look into it. Kia service also stated the oil hadn't been changed in 2 years and the brake fluid was filthy. Jan 2nd - phone tag with Frankie and looking into it with used car manager then they said there's nothing they can do and accused me of being the reason for the light. Jan 3rd - took to get oil change and they noticed heavy frame oil before change. Jan 6th - returned to Tustin Kia. Noticed the oil filter housing was cracked and they replaced it under warranty. The used car manager is a coward that wouldn't even speak with me and used Frankie to do his dirty work. Everyone at Tustin Kia service was amazing and how a dealership should be. They couldn't understand how any business would act this way.

Scott helped me that day. He was very professional and prompt with my responses when I asked about the status of my service. Would highly recommend his assistance if needed at the service department. The service department (garage) also was very attentive to detail when servicing my car.

*UPDATE* for recent service appointment on 1/9/26: I had a concerning experience with the service department today. I was advised that my 2025 Ioniq5 with 13K miles required a $200 wheel alignment. I asked to see the technician's findings or a printout from the alignment rack, and the dealership admitted that neither had been done. They were recommending a high-cost service based solely on a calendar date, not the actual condition of my car. This is a clear attempt to upsell unnecessary services to customers who trust the dealership's expertise. I strongly recommend asking for physical proof before approving any 'recommended' work at this location. ______ I would give this dealer zero stars if I could. I came here to lease an Ioniq 5. I asked them for lease pricing and they refused to share with me unless I was willing to lease that day. I told them that I had just started looking and I was trying to gauge the prices. Eventually, 45 minutes later, they shared lease pricing with me. However, at that point they had already lost my trust. It was ridiculous and a waste of time. I went to Tustin Hyundai and had a great experience without any weird underhanded sales tactics. I would not recommend this place for anyone looking to buy or lease a Hyundai. It's unfortunate because Hyundai has great cars but unfortunately this dealer is terrible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an outstanding experience with Garden Grove Hyundai, and a huge part of that was thanks to Youssef. The entire process was handled 100% online—I didn’t even have to step foot in the dealership. Youssef was incredibly attentive, professional, and responsive throughout, making everything smooth and completely stress-free. He took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. To top it all off, they delivered the car directly to my home, which truly shows how far above and beyond they go. The service was exceptional, and the car is absolutely perfect. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommend Youssef and Garden Grove Hyundai!

Dishonest pricing and bait-and-switch tactics: I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership. I generated a quotation via TrueCar and via Hyundai's website and was contacted within 5 minutes. However, after several calls, management came back with a price $5,000 above the website’s quote. They attempted to force in 'protections' and add-ons I had explicitly declined. To make matters worse, while I was waiting for them to address these discrepancies, they sold the car to someone else without notice. A complete lack of transparency and ethics. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

My first interaction with Frankie H began over the phone. I had just spoken with another dealership & was apalled by how rude they were. Frankie on the other hand was transparent, courteous and helpful. I informed him I had 3 other dealerships in mind to visit, he asked if we would make him his first spot which I agreed to due to his willingness to get me the best deal possible. Long story short I drove 2 hrs to see if I could close a deal on a vehicle. I was able to secure a good deal & drive home happy that evening. Thank you to Frankie & the finance dept for being able to work with me. Much appreciated! The best holiday cheer!

My wife took our 2024 Hyundai Palisade in for a recall. After the service, the dealership damaged our vehicle while taking it through their car wash and sent it to their shop for repairs. They asked for our insurance card, which was confusing since they caused the damage, but it turned out they needed it for the loaner car. We received the car back about a week later with no issues. Then our insurance requested a mechanical statement to "make sure the car is drivable" so my wife returned to the dealership. This is where things went downhill. The service department made a huge scene, claiming they charge $275 for such paperwork and saying their mechanics don’t “sit around writing things for free.” They even yelled at my wife and told her to leave when she tried to put me on the phone. And they wanted me to cancel my insurance policy like how dare the insurance asks for such a thing. Completely unprofessional behavior. After arguing with the supervisor and waiting four hours, we finally received the required report. Meanwhile, we’re getting emails from them trying to get us to trade in our Hyundai for a newer model. After this experience, we’re done with Hyundai.

Bait and switch; didn't honor online advertised price of used car. Online advertised price for a used car was just shy of $30k. Once arrived I saw price advertised on the lot included several add-ons on top of the online advertised price. I stated that I will not pay for any add-ons and mentioned it's ok if they can't do that. Sales associate mentioned that they would honor the internet pricing, and take off the add-ons. I did the test drive, and was surprised that the out of the door price after the test drive was $38k, the sales associate stated that his manager won't allow the car to be sold without add-ons. In my view deceptive sales tactics. After complaining the sales associate quoted $34.5k, still with fees or add-ons (their break-out didn't explain this). Went to an another dealer and bought the same model/year car with <10% of advertised price for tax and fees. I would think it is in the interest of Hyundai that their dealers have transparent pricing, this way of doing business affects their brand perception.

DON’T BUY FROM HERE!! I recently purchased a used car from this dealership, and it's been nothing short of a nightmare. Just one week after driving it off the lot, I had a major suspension issue. After multiple calls and complaints, they finally agreed to "help" by scheduling a Tesla repair appointment -- three weeks out. But before I could even get the car in, just two weeks later, the entire internal electrical system failed, leaving the car completely undriveable. At that point, I tried contacting the dealership again to explain what was happening -- and was completely ignored. Luckily, Tesla was able to squeeze me in early for a repair. When I received the quote (nearly $5,000 ), I reached out again asking how they wanted me to handle it, even offering to bring the car back so their own team could inspect it. They said they'd "look into it" -- and then never responded. My calls and texts went unanswered for days. At this point I had no choice but to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. After getting my car back, I placed five more calls and sent several messages asking to speak with a manager. Each time, I was told they were "too busy." When I finally went in person, the manager told me flat-out they wouldn't be doing anything to help -- because, in his words, "if we helped you, we'd have to do it for all our other used car customers." I guess this is their idea of great customer service. This dealership is bad. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Something happened when I couldn't open my gas door so of course I need that so I can keep moving and had to set an appointment the lady set it up real quick when I called in she immediately set me an appointment I went in and even though I had to sit there several hours, they got it done it got me back on the road. They said they didn't have the part but they had to go to another dealership and pick it up and then get the part put on well those things take time. Impatient as I am as a human being and they did get it finished it looks good and of course it's working fine like it's supposed to. Good thing is it was under warranty about 2,500 miles. I was probably a little impatient when I was in there because I had things I should have been doing, but they had patients and got it done in a good time we matter as a reflect back on it definitely a timely manner

I wish I could give zero stars, but I’ll give one since a few salespeople were polite—especially Dark, who was helpful at the end. My lease was up, so I drove to the dealership to return my car. When I arrived, an employee at the door asked why I was there. I explained it was to return a lease, and he told me they couldn’t process lease returns anymore because the dealership had been sold to a new owner and they no longer had access to the system. I asked to speak to a manager since my lease and registration were both expiring. While waiting outside (no body invited us to sit and have coffee), the salesperson who originally leased me the car (his name is maybe Ali or Youssef) saw me but didn’t even say hello—completely different attitude from when I leased the car, when he was friendly, offered coffee, and cracked jokes. Now that I wasn’t bringing new business, he clearly didn’t care to help. After waiting about 15 minutes, the manager, Carlos Gomez, came out and repeated the same excuse. I asked him to call another Hyundai dealership to see if they could take the return, or to at least pick up the car once their system was back up. He refused both requests and showed zero interest in helping, even though I explained my registration was about to expire. He said he’d call me the next day with an update—he never did. A few days later, I called again, and a salesperson told me the system was back. I drove over an hour in rush-hour traffic because they said they needed the car before sunset. When I arrived, Dark (the nice salesman) helped me, but the same manager refused to accept the car because it wasn’t charged over 50%. That was unbelievable. After all that driving, he told me to go charge it and come back the next day. Seems like he loves giving hard time to customers. I eventually returned the car, but the whole experience was awful. The staff seemed untrained (They never care to discuss other leasing options as I was interested before having this experience), the manager was rude and unprofessional, and customer service was nonexistent. None of the other dealerships wanted to take the car since I hadn’t leased it from them, and Hyundai Finance was just as useless. This was easily the worst dealership experience I’ve ever had. I would never lease or buy a Hyundai again. (P.S. the car was Ioniq 5, great car to be completely honest)

I recently worked with Frankie at the Garden Grove Hyundai branch for my Ioniq 5, and he was incredibly helpful from the start. He immediately offered me the best price, was honest and transparent, and truly respects your time. Frankie followed up to make sure I could close the deal before the discount ended, and everything went smoothly thanks to his professionalism and care. I highly recommend working with him , he’s reliable, respectful, and you can even trust him over the phone. Not all dealers are like that, and you know it!

I had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience at this dealership. Here’s what happened: I was aggressively pushed to buy two major optional add-ons: - $7,000 for an extended warranty - Another $7,000 for a KARR security system — something I explicitly did not want and have never liked. When I asked what these charges were, I was told the $7K shown at the top of the paperwork (extended warranty) was explained in the bottom section (KARR security system). After I pushed back, the $7K of warranty add-ons was removed, and the KARR system was dropped to around $1,000. But when I reviewed the final contract in the finance office, I saw that KARR was increased again — this time to over $2,000. I was also shocked that the final pricing differed from what the salesperson had shown me. When I asked why, I was told it was due to a "system error" in the salesperson’s tool — which felt like a complete excuse to cover up a discrepancy they wouldn’t explain. I was never given a clear breakdown of how the taxes were calculated, and to this day, I don’t fully understand where the final tax amount came from. There was no clear pre-tax subtotal shown. The finance officer then manipulated the loan term by adding an extra month to make the monthly payment “match,” as if I wouldn’t notice the increase in total cost. After I pushed back, they applied a small portion of discount, but the final total was still higher than expected. After seven hours of back and forth, I gave in because I was exhausted and didn’t want to lose the car I had already invested my entire day trying to buy.

⚠️ Public Warning to Consumers — My Experience with Garden Grove Hyundai & Hyundai Corporate I am sharing my personal experience to inform and caution other customers before doing business with Garden Grove Hyundai or Hyundai Corporate. On October 12, I placed a $2,000 down payment under my name (Esraa Abdelrazeq) toward the purchase of a vehicle. I paid $1,500 via SoCal Bank debit card, $250 via Revvi credit card, and $250 via First Digital credit card. When the deal was canceled, I was told that the refund would be issued to the same cards in the same amounts. However, the refund appears to have been processed incorrectly: • $1,500 was sent to my Revvi credit card, which has a $300 limit, • while only $250 was sent to my SoCal Bank card, and $250 to my First Digital card. As of today, I have only received $500 in total refunds, and the remaining $1,500 has not yet been returned to my account. Because of the confusion and lack of clarity, I personally went to the dealership in person and began recording a video for my own protection — not to cause any disturbance, but to ensure transparency and to protect myself and my rights. I insisted on filming because I genuinely felt unsafe during the interaction and wanted to have a clear record of what was happening. Unfortunately, instead of offering help, the dealership staff called the police, which was extremely distressing and unnecessary. I was simply trying to speak calmly with the General Manager, but the way I was treated made me feel humiliated, intimidated, and emotionally pressured. Even one of the employees I spoke with outside seemed concerned, but then another person came out, apparently sent by the manager, asking everyone to go back inside. This entire experience left me feeling unsafe, anxious, and deeply disappointed, and I am still emotionally affected by it today. I was in genuine need of that refund at the time, and the way this situation was handled added significant stress and hardship. I contacted Hyundai Corporate (the parent company) and both the current and previous management of Garden Grove Hyundai. Unfortunately, none of them have responded or resolved the issue. This situation shows a serious lack of communication and accountability between the dealership and the manufacturer. Everything stated here is based on my own documented experience, supported by receipts, communication records, and a video I personally recorded during my visit to the dealership. In my opinion, this experience reflects poor customer service and follow-through, and I personally advise potential customers to proceed with caution when dealing with this dealership or any related Hyundai office until stronger communication, safety, and refund policies are in place.

I recently leased a Hyundai Ioniq 5 through Dart at Garden Grove Hyundai, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From the beginning, Dart was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely focused on helping me as a customer. Even though there were other Hyundai dealerships located much closer to my home, I chose this one because of the sales Dart’s thoughtful attitude and clear, detailed explanations throughout the entire leasing process. What impressed me more was his dedication after the purchase. Even after the dealership had officially closed and well past his own working hours, Dart patiently took the time to walk me through the features of my new car and how to use the connected app. That kind of service is rare and speaks volumes about his character. I also want to give a special thanks to Ahmed, the manager, who was just as professional and helpful. His detailed guidance played an important role in my final decision to lease the vehicle. Lastly, I want to say how thrilled I am with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 itself. The value, performance, and quality of the vehicle have far exceeded my expectations. It has been an absolute pleasure to drive. ******* If I had to point out two disappointing aspects, the first would be the persistent pressure during the final stage of purchase to sign up for insurance costing over $60 per month for three years. They emphasized that not doing so could lead to significant disadvantages when returning the leased vehicle, creating unnecessary anxiety. When I refused to sign up, they made me sign another document stating that I wasn't offered with the insurance offer. After consulting with some friends, I decided not to purchase it, and I want readers of this review to know that *such insurance is unnecessary*. The second issue was that, as a first-time electric vehicle owner, they didn’t explain how to use the charging app or how to charge the vehicle, which caused me considerable difficulty when I tried to charge it for the first time. *********

I bought a car just one month ago, the outside door handle came off after a normal freeway drive. There was no accident—just some wind. But the dealership said it was caused by “external damage” and refused to fix it under warranty. I also contacted Hyundai's customer service, but they only accepted what the dealership said. There was no professional or independent inspection done, which was very disappointing. When I visited the dealership, they put in a new handle and told me, “This can’t fall off.” That made me wonder if the first one was not installed properly at the factory. No one really knows how it was put together during production when make it. It’s disappointing that a new car has this kind of issue and Hyundai won’t fix it. I don’t feel comfortable going back to that dealership for service anymore. I’ve bought Hyundai cars for years, but now I’m not sure if I will choose Hyundai again. I hope the company listens to customers and handles these problems more fairly in the future.

I recently purchased a Model S from this dealership and had an excellent experience. Dart, my salesman, was extremely helpful, professional, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He answered all of my questions, kept me updated throughout, and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. I couldn’t be happier with my new car and the outstanding service I received. Highly recommend this dealership and working with Dart if you’re in the market for a vehicle!

Terrible experience. Wasted 2 hours trying to purchase a car when an app was submitted prior to even showing up. Bogus back and fourth even when I specifically stated I want the car with zero "dealer installed items" and no additional plans or services. Had to repeat myself each time they came back with a new sheet before realizing they were trying to sneak $5700 for bogus items into the deal without even telling me. When I questioned it Leslie the so called manager walked over and said that's a take it or leave it she'll take it out but then will raise the cost of the car. Walked out then got multiple calls that they'll do 0% financing but said they will not remove those bogus charges. Their website shows the cost of the car after a discount with a notice that any dealer item can be purchased as additional but is not mandatory. Sam the salesmen was fine but extremely frustrated that he didn't listen to what I said and kept trying to sneak bogus line items in. They aren't straight forward here. Be aware if you're buying at this place. Should've checked the 3 star rating before even stepping foot in this place.

Excellent Experience at Garden Grove Hyundai! I recently had a fantastic experience purchasing a car from Garden Grove Hyundai. From the moment what truly impressed me, though, was the exceptional service I received from my salesman, Ricardo. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the vehicle and took the time to understand my needs and budget. He wasn't pushy at all, which is a huge plus for me. Instead, he patiently answered all my questions and showed me several cars that fit my criteria. For example, I was particularly impressed with Ricardo's ability to talk to his Finance Manager ,Sales manager, and even General Manager. There's not anything he wouldn't try to get you the best deal. Most importantly, Ricardo and the finance department were willing to work with me to get a deal that I was comfortable with. They explained all the financing options clearly and were able to find a payment plan that fit my budget. Overall, I can't say enough good things about my experience at Garden Grove Hyundai. If you're looking for a new or used car, I highly recommend checking them out. Ask for Ricardo- he's the best!
