I really like taking my car to Garden Grove Auto Care for the oil change because they give my car a good once over to keep me safe on the road. Last time they found a tire with low pressure that had a leak that was repairable. And in the past they solved a brake problem that another place had been unable to figure out. I trust them and recommend them.
Super friendly and honest! They'll sometimes have same day or next day appts, but it'd be cool to give a couple days heads up for oil changes. Harvey tries to fit you in, and they give you options and solid expertise without trying to upsell you anything. We've been going here for years, and I can't believe I've forgotten to write a review. I haven't had any major work done with our cars but would 110% trust them with any auto care needs!! It's rare to find a spot like this ? we've referred friends here because they're so awesome!
Thanks to Harvey and his team. He helped explain and arrange an appointment to have my truck alignment. They were honest and cordial and explained all his observations regarding my suspension very well. Glad to have found a new shop for my future needs
Harvey is a sincere and conscientious person. After driving the car he repaired, I could truly feel that his technical skills surpass even those of certified Mitsubishi dealership engineers. Seeing other customers leave with smiles on their faces made me want to learn from his example.
Great, honest service. If your vehicle has a recall or something covered by warranty, Harvey will let you know. Very helpful and knowledgeable..no upselling or trickery at this place and reasonable prices and great workmanship! Have been going here 15 years and makes my life less stressful.
I had a question about ac diagnostic and didn't even get my car serviced yet. Another placed I called quoted me 500$. The person who answered my call informed me of an extended warranty my car had from the dealership. Very knowledgeable and good service! I'll definitely call again if I need car services in the future!
I brought my Nissan truck to replace the front
breaks and it was done in a timely manner they have also checked all the fluids plus the condition of the rear brake so I was very pleased with their service. Harvey knows he’s work.
From the moment I called Harvey, he was very professional and friendly. I took my 2000 Jeep Cherokee in for a Brake issue and he was very knowledgeable and upfront with pricing and what his team was going to do and also did a checkup of other issues. Harvey and his crew have got it right! They understood what my car's problem was (which is saying something when dealing with a Ford), and were prompt and personable throughout. It's a small shop, but a good one -- and wouldn't you rather deal with folks who are like good neighbors rather than some faceless dealership that couldn't care less about your problems?
After using the same auto mechanic for close to 20 years (his shop closed down after his lease was not renewed), we were in need of a convenient mechanic for routine maintenance and repairs on our 2 cars. We decided to try Garden Grove Auto Repair after finding it close to our vet's office and reading some reviews. We have now worked with Harvey several times in the last few months including one major repair. He is personable, knowledgeable, his prices are fair and the lobby of his shop is clean - all of which are good to have. The most important factor for us in frequenting any business is integrity (something not always easy to come by these days, especially in this industry). Harvey is the real deal and he excels at all of these things. I could not recommend him or this shop more highly.
Called for an oil change and they were able to get me in the next day (Saturday). Very polite and professional. Since my vehicle is new I’m hoping all I’ll need are oil changes for awhile, however if I did need anything else I would definitely take my vehicle there.
Great convenient service, I was here on a weekend for a tire patch and the owner Henry was very attentive. Even though it was busy he was able to get my vehicle done in a timely manner. Extremely polite, will go again if I need to.

I was recommended to visit this place and I sure am happy that I did. I got my transmission fluid replaced for a good price and they gave me great advice on how to keep my car running well. I also learned that they are contracted to help with the city's fire and police vehicles and that many of their staff have been working with decades of car experience. Super cool!

A friend recommended Garden Grove Auto for my son when he was doing an internship in the area. Harvey was very kind and helpful with a couple things while my son was here. We visited when he was nearing the end of his internship and needed a bulb change. Harvey squeezed us in late on a Fri afternoon before we had to leave. I know our friends who have used him for many years highly recommend him and we were very pleased with his competency, kindness and caring attitude. Give him a try if you are looking for an auto mechanic you can trust!
Harvey and his crew are my go to auto repair shop. I don't feel like I am being sold on extra services I don't need. Harvey has always been honest in letting me know if I need a service now, or if I can wait. I find his rates reasonable and his service excellent.
I understand you're in the business of making money, but for the sake of transparency, you really should take "low prices" out of your slogan. My friend brought my truck in with a small radiator leak. $700 later I have a new radiator and some new hoses. The part that upsets me is I could have purchased the exact same parts myself for at least $200 cheaper. I'm not going to say I know what the fair markup should be, but I believe "low prices" no longer applies. I wish my friend would have called me before agreeing to let these guys do the work. I wouldn't have been able to say no fast enough.
Bait & switch tactics, my Air conditioning wouldn't cool. $1200.00 it cools when it wants to work. The fan turns on & off, RPM' S jump up at r stops thrusting my vehicle forward, belts squeak now. I took it back Harvey the owner said $500.00 This will fix it, hour later he wants $400.00 more for Freon. I told him no way. Now my vehicle is worse & I have to pay someone else to fix what he did. AND HE DOESN'T WANT TO GIVE ME A REFUND. THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO FIX VEHICLE AT THIS PLACE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE S HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
My family and I have been going here for years! I have learned a lot about cars from Harvey...he explains everything very well. He keeps me very well informed. The prices are more than reasonable, when you consider the fact that you are getting excellent work done, by someone who enjoys working with cars and genuinely cares about his customers! I actually don't mind going g to "the mechanic" anymore. Harvey has become a friend and I trust him completely!!!?

Harvey is an genuine guy. He would never scam you and gives you a straight up answer. I have gone to him for major issues like my brakes, and computer problems but have also seen him for minor things like tire rotation and oil change. He is so sweet and truly a great mechanic! Even if I moved out of Garden Grove, I would still make the drive for him!!
