The only place I trust with my car. My car hit 299,500 miles and I wanted another transmission service. After inspection, we all agreed that it was best not to service the vehicle. Ron was incredibly helpful, honest and they didn’t charge me a dime. Also, thank you to Sarah for being sweet and helpful. HIGHLY recommend this shop.

This place should not be in business they do terrible work. I paid well over $3,000 for a rebuilt transmission that they warrantied for 2 years. 27 months later, the transmission goes bad. I tried speaking with the owner, but no one at the shop would give me any contact information. I contacted Jim ferguson, which is the area manager, who assured me that if I get the car to a shop(I'm no longer living in the area)and have the mechanic contact him, he would help take care of it. I got the car to a shop, and the mechanic told me that there were all kinds of errors when the transmission was put together and that the transmission was no good. The mechanic contacted Jim and made him aware of the errors and what it would cost to rebuild a new transmission. Since then, Jim has avoided all of my calls, and no one at Leon's transmission will give me the owner's number, name, or any kind of contact information. I was not asking Jim to fully reimburse me for the transmission, just maybe some sort of help on the cost to fix it. There's no way a rebuilt transmission for that price should only last 27 months. This place is a total ripoff and accepts no accountability for their work.

We had our transmission oil changed two weeks before driving down to Disneyland at a different shop. After arriving at our hotel we noticed oil on our tailgate. Leon's found the leak, replaced the parts and filled our oil. They did an amazing job and we appreciate their kindness. They refused to bill us the cost of the repair as they said it was a very simple fix. Thank you for all of your help Leon’s! We made it home safely!!

They were wonderful. Called me to let me know the status during the repair. Also let me know the actual price. No surprises. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

The manager is a liar. (Jim) He told me one thing when I dropped off my truck and didn't do what he said he'd do. He promised me to have an estimate ready for me the next day and he didn't. In stead he told me to go and pick up my truck. DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent experience! Ok so I have a 2005 Altima that is pretty janky looking but my Poppa gave it to me before he died so I just couldn't part with it when moving to Las Vegas... The crew here is amazing! They completely rebuilt my transmission in just a week! They helped me out by rushing my job since I was moving out of state AND it is running soooooo smoothly I am very happy to have extended the life of my old hand-me-down :) Super friendly, helpful, and honest... definitely come here for your transmission needs!

I had a great experience here they took care of everything my car needed. From beginning to end the process was very easy and smooth. They are honest and trustworthy the price was competitive and great warranty offered.

10/10 service. Not only was my car done on time, faster than any other place I called, it was a great price AND Rick kept me informed each step of the way. He explained what was wrong with my car, what was needed and how they fixed it in a very easy to understand way. When it came time to pick up my car, it took only 5 before I was back on the road. I just had my transmission computer replaced at this transmission shop, and boy, am I thrilled with their service! They totally rocked it! The folks at the shop were super knowledgeable and cool. They totally understood my concerns and explained everything about swapping out the transmission computer in my Mazda. I gotta say, they know their stuff! They didn't waste any time getting things done. Once they figured out the problem, they quickly got hold of the right parts for my Mazda. The replacement job was handled with skill and precision, ensuring everything fit like a glove. Ever since they worked their magic, my Mazda feels like a brand new car! The shifting is silky smooth, and it's running like a dream. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Pricing-wise, they were fair and didn't hit me with any surprise costs. They were straight up about the charges, and I appreciated their honesty throughout the process. And let me tell you, the customer service was top-notch. The team there was friendly, approachable, and genuinely cared about making me happy. It's rare to find a shop that treats their customers so well. If you need any transmission work, I highly recommend this place. They're awesome! They know their stuff, they're friendly, and they deliver outstanding service. Leon's first caught my attention by supporting and participating in "Cruise-for-a-Cure" (a huge classic car fund raising event to address Prostate Cancer detection, treatment and research). Their comprehensive automotive knowledge and repair skills were on full display at that event. When my transmission/torque converter began to fail, I'm grateful I was able to recall their contact information and benefit from their extraordinary skills and service. The immediate and cheerful first hello I received as I entered their clean and neat front office assured me I would be treated with integrity and respect as I detailed my problem. They would diagnose my issue with a test drive by a knowledgeable craftsman and contact me with the results on the same day (even on a Friday!). I needed a full transmission rebuild. However, the cost was well within the range of reasonable (which included a 2 year warranty) and the trust they had already generated fully relieved any concerns I had for the quality of workmanship. The work was completed one day ahead of the estimate (including extra repairs to the engine while the major components were already conveniently disassembled). As I drove away, the first acceleration revealed a SOLID repair with smooth reliable shifting and confident downshifting response. My car was returned within budget and ahead of schedule by a professional team of skilled mechanics and customer focused business experts. As the mechanic returned the car to me I expressed my thanks for fixing "my" car. He said: " you missed it?"...you bet I did! Thanks to all at Leon's. This shop is outstanding!

Good honest shop. I took my car in cuz it was shaking on take off and another shop said it was the transmission, so I took it to Leon's for a second opinion. Turns out it was just a motor mount. Leon's saved me a lot of money and they were very professional. Next time I'm not waisting my time and taking it straight there.

No thanks to these guy. I'VE spend thousands of dollars here attempting to fix my 91 ranger transmission. Ive had them rebuild this transmission about 4 times now and i've paid everytime. Now my Transmission is recked this is the 4th time ive had them rebuild it and this time they forgot to install a tramission mount bolt also the tramission wont go into overdrive and the drive shaft is out of alignment over 1/2. Its my kids truck and he could of died without the bolt being installed. Not happy at all. Be cautious if you come here.

I, like most people, havent had great experiences when dealing with car repairs. whether it be shops overcharging for basic repairs, claiming optional repairs as necessary, cutting corners on necessary ones, poorly communicating what they intend to do and how long it will take, or just having a general attitude of “im the smart mechanic, you’re the dumb customer”, all are a huge headache. And given that having your primary means of transportation not functioning coupled with the often exorbitant costs of repairs in any situation is stress enough, having to navigate all of this other stuff is really the last thing I and Im sure most anyone else wants to deal with. And this is exactly why I am so glad I found Leon’s. Thanks to Rick, Sarah, and the rest of the team I had what I can only imagine is the most painless replacing of a transmission one could possibly experience. I honestly must say I even enjoyed it! my details: My wife’s Jetta has 150K miles on it and was having tell tale signs of being in need of a new transmission (clunky shifts, frequently going into “safety mode” ie staying in 2nd gear) I took it to the only repair shop I’ve come to trust over the years (Irvine Auto Care). They however don’t do transmissions and recommended Leons to me. I was nervous to go to a new shop given my previous poor experiences, but if IAC trusts them I was willing to give them a shot. And I can say every interaction from first to last was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, to anytime I called, Sarah was always kind, positive and helpful. Her cheerful attitude truly is a gift! And Rick was equally as fantastic. He without fuss tolerated all my questions over many phone calls and many days despite what im certain is a very busy schedule. He was also very honest and forthright about what I should expect as far as lead time and what the costs might be. He even helped me weigh the pro’s and con’s of repairing the car vs buying a new one and what additional repairs I might expect over the coming years. Ultimately we concluded that repairing the transmission makes the most sense. The cost for the repair was of course more than I was excited to pay, but it was about 25% less than what I was seeing other’s online report, which was relieving. And despite having a niche german transmission and a shop overflowing with jobs, it hardly took more than a week from start to finish. The car now runs like new and if for any reason the transmission has issues it comes with a 2 year warranty. It is now no surprise to me why Leon’s is one of the most trusted names, if not the most trusted flat out, in transmission shops in the OC/LA area, operating for more than 60 years and used by the LA fire department for their trucks. Pleasant, professional, honest, and trustworthy crew who do fantastic work for a great price. What more could you ask for? I will be recommending this great team at Leon’s up and down to friends and family and will be absolutely taking any future cars here. Honestly wish they did more than transmissions as I’d love to give them more of my business! Thanks again Rick, Sarah, and the rest of the team for making this experience the best it could be.

Pretty impressed with the shop. My truck has 170,000 miles on it and I am the original owner. It finally started to drip transmission fluid so I brought it in to them to look at. They said it was throwing a code that there was a flare between third and fourth gear. I told him that I don’t feel it but they said it could probably go a little while longer before I start feeling it. Either way it’s going to need to be rebuilt now or sooner or later. They were super impressed and had that many miles and had only the fluid changed every 30,000. I had them do the complete rebuild and although it took a little longer than I was expecting, I think they did an excellent job. The transmission feels solid and I’m looking forward to getting another 170 ,000 miles out of it. Rick said that he would put their rebuilt transmission against a new OEM transmission any day. Challenge accepted. It was $4400 out the door.

5 stars is the least I can do for these guys. They were able to find a part for my transmission that is no longer in production and I couldn't find anywhere else on the internet, even contacted the manufacturer, tremec, they didn't carry anything for my TR3650, somehow these guys found an extension tail housing and got it installed along with a master cylinder replacement I needed so my trans is good to go hopefully for a long time. They got my car out of there the day after the part arrived, great service. Would recommend and return if i need help again

Took my pilot here since our mechanic recommended it ! And they were very friendly , in no time solved and figured what was wrong with our car! Went to pick it up and it was fast easy and at no charge ! Since it wasn't transmission problem ! definitely recommend this place and will be telling others to come here if they ever need it !!!

Rick and the team were awesome to work with. They helped me get financing so I could afford the rebuild on my transmission and they did an amazing job with the work. My car runs better now than when I bought it used a year ago. I would trust these folks with all my transmission needs and definitely recommend them to anyone needing transmission work done!

I was referred here by my Firestone Mechanic and I'm glad I was, Rick, Sarah and I assume the whole work crew goes up and beyond minimum service they take the time to understand your issues and do the best they can to help solve them within budget and keeping top quality work. They did a really good job in a timely manner. You get a two year warranty that is good in numerous places and out of state as my daughter attends college in Arizona. I'm very happy with the service!

I came in cause my transmission made some noise a while back. The Leon staff checked my car and gave me very honest feedback regarding the issues. I had taken it to several places prior but none were as honest and gave me a sense of trust than here. This is not your fly by night auto shop. Seems very professional. Give them a shot. I plan on taking my vehicle back for more service.

Have been taking my 1990 jeep here for awhile now. They have always done me right and I trust Rick and his team to do Everything they can to make sure that my old jeezy is working properly. I trust them completely to give it to me straight and to figure out whatever is wrong with it.
