I brought my mercedes to get the oil changed and damage was done to my car. TJ the owner helped out with a portion of my repair. That says allot for the owner to step up and right a wrong. I appreciate his help and wish him nothing but good things. GOD BLESS.

Over $200/hr for labor. Genuinely a scam, avoid at all costs. $650 for a blower motor that Ford FSM has as a 30 minute job. Quoted $3500 to do front struts on an f150, that can be done in my driveway in 4 hours. They refuse to work with 3rd party warranty companies, you won't get any work done here without paying and arm and a leg for it. Service advisors lie over the telephone, they do not record phone calls. I could go on and on, but Christian Brothers is the definition of what is wrong with shops. Too many employees, their rent is too much, and they push all that cost onto you, the customer. Find a mobile mechanic, a self owned shop, do anything other than take your cars here.

This happened in the last year, quite a while back actually. I had a 2001 Nissan Ultima. It wouldn’t start, I suspect that a security issue. I took it to Christian Brothers Automotive and told them to fix it. They called a couple days later and said it was fixed and ready to go. I went up to get it and paid them. I think it was like $400 and they went out to get my car and bring it around. I looked outside and saw it’s parked with two or three of their employees gathered around it. So I walked out with the guy at the desk and they said it wouldn’t start and I said you guys put a new distributor on this to fix it, and it’s not fixed. This is the exact same issue I had you work on it, intermittent no start. And I said put the old distributor back on it cause there wasn’t nothing wrong with that distributor. They said they fill it away and there was a bad distributor they had tested it. I said they were full of crap and it wasn’t anything wrong with the distributor. They wouldn’t listen to me would not give me a refund. So I left and they called and said they had it figured out. And they gave me a step-by-step procedure with The key fob so I said OK took the car and drove it home. It worked for a few days and then I did it again and nothing I can do to get it started so I called the tow truck and had them tow it to the Nissan dealer. They diagnose the problem said it was a security issue with the ring that goes around the ignition being bad. It took them forever to fix it cause I couldn’t get the part and then it cost me about $800 to get my car back. The good news is the car was fixed. But I would not use Christian Brothers Automotive in Chandler to fix a bicycle! I think they just robbed me! I need to edit my review of Christian Brothers, automotive Ocotillo, after my original complaint, the owner of Christian Brothers contacted me by phone, and apologize for what happened. He then offered to make it right by reimbursing me in cash. So I’ve changed my review from one to four because at least they made it right.thanks Christian Brothers.

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance for a 7:00 AM drop-off so Christian Brothers could do a power steering flush and a full inspection. When booking, we agreed they would call me after the inspection so I could compare their findings with my dealership’s and approve any additional work for the same day or the next. Five hours passed with zero communication. When I finally reached out, I was suddenly told the inspection had “just been completed” and that their estimate was nearly three times what my dealership quoted. The staff tried to claim they had told me the inspection would take all day at check in. They hadn’t. And no, a flush and basic inspection do not take 11 hours. The front-desk rep argued this point until I shut it down; only then did he backtrack and said it was an apology no arguing. Up until that moment, I was willing to chalk it up to miscommunication. But the defensiveness and gaslighting were unacceptable. For what it’s worth, the technicians seem competent, hence the 3 stars instead of 1, but understand this clearly: if you bring your vehicle here for an inspection, expect to be without it the entire day, unlike my dealership where the same inspection takes roughly an hour.

My driver’s side window was stuck rolled down and would not roll back up on a rainy day, all other windows were working properly. I dropped my vehicle off at CBA Ocotillo and asked that no other inspection take place beyond the diagnostics tests for why my driver’s side window was not rolling up. I received my inspection report and estimate 3 hours later, stating that both my driver’s side window and my passenger side windows were not working, and that the motor regulators of both windows needed to be replaced (for $750 each or $1500 in total). I found it strange that my passenger side window was noted as not functioning, as I tested it multiple times before dropping off my vehicle and it was working fine — plus, this went beyond the diagnostics requested for the one window. I declined the repair of the window motors with the intention of getting a second opinion, with the caveat that my window would be rolled up when I came to pick up my car from CBA. I paid $190 for the diagnostics at the front desk and was told my car would be brought outside for me. I walked outside to see that the woman who had driven it the front had rolled down the window, and I was immediately concerned that it would not be able to roll back up. She proceeded to push the window button, and it rolled up with no difficulty, apparently now working fine. I feel that there was an attempt to scam me into paying $1500 for new window motor regulators when the issue had already been resolved without needing to replace those parts. It was clear to me that the motor regulators are in fact working and that was not the cause of the original issue. I paid $190 for them to try to hustle me, and I will not be returning.

I’ve been to this location a couple of times, and each visit has been a great experience. They are honest, do excellent work, and keep their prices reasonable. I also appreciate how clearly they explain the charges so you know exactly what you’re paying for. Overall, a trustworthy company that provides quality service.

Christian Brothers provided a more than fair quote for work on my 2021 truck. Other shops had inflated prices and CBA provided better pricing and better service. Said it would be one day and they had it out before days end. Thanks CBA!

I brought my vehicle to CB last month to address an engine light issue. At that time, I was advised that the problem required the replacement of alternators and related parts. I approved the repair and paid approximately $2,000 for the service. Unfortunately, only a week after repair, the engine light returned. When I brought my car back, the technician test-drove it but did not find any issue and advised me to continue driving and return if the light appeared again. Last week, the light came on once more, and I was informed that although the issue seemed similar, it was linked to a different error code. I was told the ignition coil and spark plugs would need to be replaced at an additional cost of $2,700. This now means that to address what has consistently been an engine light problem, I am being asked to spend a total of $4,700.Had I been informed from the beginning that resolving the problem might ultimately cost this much, I would not have proceeded with the initial $2,000 repair.

Dunno how anyone can be leaving good reviews, unless I had a particularly unlucky string of experiences. Everything I've ever had done here had to be redone because they didn't get it right from air conditioner to oil seal to you name it. Last summer had AC leak on a corner piece fixed, they said they couldn't find a leak anywhere else. This summer the AC is broken yet again and they want to charge me $500 to recharge the system to find out where it's leaking from. $500!! You guys ever heard of nitrogen or a leak sniffer? Good lord. Staying away from Christian Brothers period.

Bryan and Michael took excellent care of me! Dealership said I needed work I didn’t and didn’t say I needed work I did need. These guys were transparent and honest about what could wait and what needed attention now. Very grateful for the safe space the mechanically uninclined can come to for honest, transparent service.

This place is excellent. From the ninute, you walk and are greeted to picking up your vehicle. They are top shelf. I was hesitant to take my VW to a non import servicer , but these golks have kept won me over.

As soon as my Toyota truck maintenance was not a covered cost, I've come to Christian Brothers Ocotillo for my service needs. I make an appointment to wait and they're on time start to finish and the cost is reasonable (considering current costs) and for years now, I am confident the job's done well. Now a few years later, noticed my truck was cranking slower on start-up. Straight to Christian Brothers Ocotillo, employee at the counter came right out, checked battery and it was replaced in 20-25 minutes. Fantastic service!

Don't waste your time or hard earned money. They'll flood your text and email with appointment reminders, then overbook and let your car sit for a day. There are MUCH better auto shops in Chandler.

I came here for a diagnostics test that cost me $180 and some change. The culprit was an unplugged O2 sensor and a faulty air intake sensor. Such a simple find and fix but this Christian Brothers location missed it. Instead, these guys charged me full price and gave me a list of “potential could be’s” starting with services they were willing to “figure out” (I.e., spark plugs and O2 sensors) while also suggesting unrelated services they wanted me to greenlight. Of 4 pages of recommendations, only the first line on page 1 was related to my issue. I paid with my time and money for nothing! I DONT recommend coming here if you’re looking for help without going through a pay wall! After a few dollars shy of $200 down the drain, walking out with less than I came in was nothing short of disappointing and my experience working with them effectively made me a one time customer! My experience: I was told to drop my car off at the shop over the weekend and it would be worked on “first thing Monday morning” and done “after 2-3 hours”. They give you an envelope to write your contact information and record anything else wrong with your car. I used this space to go over what troubleshooting steps I’ve already done (changed spark plugs, coils, O2 sensors, replaced catalytic converter, and replaced some exhaust pieces). When I called mid Monday afternoon around 11am for an ETA they told me they hadn’t begun working on it yet due to me not confirming the job (fyi: confirming over the phone on two separate occasions and dropping it off w/ key in envelope plus contact information and troubleshooting DOESN’T count as consent). I tried to plan my work day around retrieving my only means of transportation and they wasted my whole morning/early afternoon waiting on them. Had I not called at 11am, they would’ve just left my car alone and untouched in the parking lot (verbatim). When I asked about what was told to me over the phone, they assured me they had no idea what I was talking about and no one had ever mentioned what I said above. I paid my dues, had to pick up my car after normal business hours, still had the same issue that I came in with, and I was down ~$200 and a whole day. No empathy from these guys, just transactional interactions with poor outcomes. For the fix to have been that simple, I can’t be confident in nor recommend their diagnostic services. Not sure about other services but I would only recommend getting your car diagnosed here in dire situations!! 3/10 qualitative ranking - 6/8/25

I either had a very inexperienced employee work on my vehicle, or these reviews are fake/bot generated. My experience was not great to say the least. I went in for a simple fluid change and a small noise coming from my AC pulley. I left with a large bill and more problems/work than I started with. 1. Within the first 2 weeks my coolant all leaked. This was due to hoses not installed properly, fix I was forced to make. 2. Oil leak within the first couple days. This was due to the oil filter AND oil drain plug not tightened, as in the drain plug was a couple threads loose…. Crazy. Days of scrubbing this all out of my driveway!! 3. I was told the cabin air filter was not checked/inspected, but weirdly enough when I had to make all my own corrections to these mistakes, I found my cabin air filter missing completely. Then was told they ‘didn’t inspect the cabin air filter’…. Crazy because it was in there 6 weeks prior…. Guess it just fell out. lol 4. The noise to my AC pulley I originally went in for was never fixed, and came right back days after I left. Needless to say, I would not go back. The staff was friendly and nice, but the service left me paying for corrections, then me having to fix more issues than I brought the car in with. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Thanks

I brought my car there due to engine light on and they had my car there the whole day to repair it but less than 2 weeks the engine light turn on again. I brought my car there 7 or 8 more times due to the same issue and I even left my car in their shop for 2 weeks on 6th time that the engine light turned on but they did not get it fixed so I still gave them the chance 2 more times fix the issue but up until now I’m still having the same problem with the engine light turning on. What a waste of my time and money, they could have just tell me that they cannot figure it out on the 3rd or 4th time that they tried but failed so that I can have a different shop to figure it out.

Super pleased with Christian Brothers Auto in Ocotillo. Brought in my 12-year-old FIAT for AC repair and other work. They gave the vehicle a thorough inspection and recommended additional repairs. All problem details (with photos!) sent to my phone for review and approval with all the cost information for the repair work. No surprises, no pressure. Excellent communication and feedback while my car was in their shop. Highly recommended!

Brought my pride and joy in for some work. Had some valve covers replaced and all new intercoolant and radiator hoses replaced in my twin turbo V6. The quality of work is awesome, but what really impressed me was the staff and ethical integrity the overall business has was obvious. Jake, Troy, Mike, Dean, Brian, Pete and Orbin are all excellent reps for the business. I am so grateful to have an auto mechanic close to home that I can trust. I have taken both my cars here. The experience I have had both times have been top notch! I thoroughly enjoy the feedback, pictures they send for your approval. Everything is explained with helpful videos, and why you need XYZ. Staff was friendly and attentive. Loving this customer service! I would highly recommend giving them a try for your automotive needs.

From drop off to pick up the service from Christian Brothers Ocotillo exemplified trust and expertise. I was greeted kindly upon arrival and promptly asked how they could be of service. As I discussed my needs for a pre-purchase inspection, the attendant addressed my concerns of the used cars’ previous damage, carfax, and current recall. They leveled with me and gave genuine answers that made me feel far more taken care of then working with the dealership. Even before payment, the attendant did a walk around of the car with me (twice!!) to assess the damage, repair, and to see if all parts of the car matched the VIN. They didn’t let me leave until I was satisfied with the service they were going to provide. They are upfront about pricing. They are AAA certified and trusted (including AAA discount). The inspection report was sent to me with great details, organization and photos. All employees leveled with me and gave genuine answers. All around my experience with Christian Brothers Automotive exceeded my previous auto-shop experiences. For my next service, I will certainly be brining my car back.

I will never be doing business with this place again for two major reasons. One my check engine light comes on and I make arrangements to bring my car in on a Thursday. They tell me my evap canister was the reason so I pay for it and pick it up the following morning. 50 miles later the light came back on so I again make arrangements and bring it back. I was told there was a communication error and the new part never got put in my vehicle in the first place. So they fox it and I pick up the vehicle. I don't even make it home before the light comes on again. Now a control solenoid is the issue. They did fix that without charging me. That alone made me frustrated enough to shop around as a horrible racket was coming from my passenger wheel well. Christian brothers charge me a 100 dollars to diagnose the issue and I was told my struts were the cause and they could fix it for the low cost of 2100 with wheel alignment charged seperate. Found another shop that would do the same work for 900 less and as they are doing it it turns out that my struts were not even the issue but a motor mount had failed and that was the whole cause and that was only a 300 dollar fix. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I have been taking my vehicle to your shop for over two years and have generally been happy with service. My service yesterday was terrible. I had requested to pick up my car at 2 PM. At 1:45 I finally received a service request and I authorized an oil change and brake fluid replacement. Less than 15 minutes later I got a notice that my car was ready. I called for a shuttle. It was right at 2 o’clock. They said they’d send him my way, and at 2:20 I got a call that he was out front of my house, but he wasn’t there. I called again. They said they would contact him. To make a long story short, he never did show. I didn’t get picked up until an hour and 20 minutes after requesting a ride, and when I went to the shop, the brake service had not been completed. Then I noticed today that the maintenance required notice on my dashboard had not been reset so the whole experience was horrible and now I have to make another trip back to the shop to have that maintenance required message reset. I will give this generally professional shop another chance to give me the kind of service I expect, but if I get this kind of service ever again, I will go somewhere else for my car service needs.

These guys are great. We purchased a car through Driveway and had seven days to decide if we were going to keep it or not. They have a pre-purchase inspection for a very good price that takes a look at everything and gives you a full work up on things you could get done, things you should think about getting done, and things you for sure should get done. I go to them anytime I want an honest answer. We’ve gone to them before with issues that other mechanic shops have told us we need to do and that they’ve told us is not necessary. That means a lot in my book.

I brought in a vehicle that I was considering buying to make sure there were no hidden issues. The inspection cost was a little lower than some other shops in the area that I got quotes from, and they provided a breakdown of all their findings with clear pictures of the issues along with a quote to fix and a recommendation from them that it was an overall good car to buy. With this information, I was able to negotiate a better price than what the seller offered just based on the Carfax report alone. I recommend Christian Brothers to check out a potential car purchase for anyone who is buying a used car!

Solid team at the Ocotillo location, efficient repair and car was completed on schedule, as promised. Military discount for veterans is offered, which is much appreciated! Highly recommend for car repairs or tune-up. 1/4/2020 Another great experience this week at Christian Brothers. My 2013 Genesis sedan needed an alternator and serpentine belt. As usual, CB quote was 50% less than the dealership plus a better warranty on the parts and labor (2yr/24 mos). Military discount applied, that saved another 10%. Tony and Mike run the place, and it's a top notch shop! I recommend them to everyone. Get a quote from your dealership, then call CB.
