My step-son took his car there after ck engine light came on. Aamco said he needed a brand new transmission. $10,000 new or $8000 rebuilt. Ah no. So he went to get the car and said he owed $1200 cause that's the labor cost he agreed to. Mind you nothing was fixed. Took transmission out, said it was no good, put it back in. He got them to take $500 off so it was $760 to tell him it was no good. Well i took it to Chandler Auto n Tire, showed them the report and he laughed. They got back to me and said it needed a new solenoid, they didn't need to get into the transmission. $1200 for the part, $1900 total. Complete and utter scam system Aamco is running. Never ever take your car there for any kind of work. $10,000 compared to an actual $1900 repair. Unreal Not sure how they sleep at night

Called to see if they had a bay open ..Chamdler took my phone call and said yes they have one open bring it in. I told him I would be there in 10 minutes . Spot was held Chandler greeted me took my info and he did the rotation while taking a couple phone calls. In and out within 30 min. You do not find younger employees of that caliber that often. Thank you Chandler for transparency honesty and knocking this out for me at the spur of the moment.

Of course nobody likes being in a situation where you gotta put a bunch of money into their car unexpectedly but these guys definitely made the entire experience comfortable

Took my vehicle in for brakes because another shop told me I needed to replace them but I had gotten them replaced 6 months ago. Chandler took me into the shop and showed me what my brakes actually looked like and they were fine. So thankful I decided to get a second opinion and will be coming back because of chandlers honesty and customer service.

BEWARE!!! Their main goal is to sell you a transmission at at least 5k cost or more. I took my 2000 Chevy Express 2500 here to get a transmission issue diagnosis. The issue with the van was that it was stuck in 3rd gear. At the same time, the digital display on my gauge cluster had gone dark also. Couple of hours go by and they call me with their "diagnosis". They wanted to have me pay $1400 for them to remove the transmission and disassemble it to figure out the problem. They also told me the transmission fluid was dark and smelled burnt. Now, coming from a 10 year mechanic background myself, I had already checked the transmission fluid color and smell prior to taking it in. The fluid was the color it should be and was definitely not burnt. There were also no precursors to the vehicles transmission becoming stuck in 3rd gear. So instead of digging deeper to find the root cause of the transmission issue I was experiencing, they just wanted to rip mine apart just to come back and likely tell me I would need a transmission replacement. They do not rebuild transmissions or reinstall old parts. Therefore, it would have been completely pointless for them to rip the transmission apart in the first place because it would have ultimately come down to swapping it out. Then they wanted over 5k to R&R a very common and cheap transmission I could've had fully rebuilt one for less than $2000 with a 2 year warranty elsewhere. I decided to get a 2nd opinion of the issue and go figure, I don't need a transmission or a rebuild. I needed a gauge cluster because the shift solenoids' power runs through the cluster and was lacking enough voltage to operate, causing it to go into limp mode (stuck in 3rd gear). So had I been uneducated, undereducated or just plane dumb, I would have been into this issue for no less than $2k if I did the rebuild and clearly more with the R&R. Instead, I let the 2nd opinion shop do the work because they didn't try to screw me and actually did their due diligence to find the actual ($300) problem. Because of their honesty, I also had them install self provided control arms, sway bar links, do an alignment and replace the fuel pump...all for the same $1400 price I'd been given to do unnecessary work. I would have been pissed had I been an unfortunate individual to allow them to take advantage of me. Piss poor customer service Aamco. I will make sure everyone I know never brings a vehicle your way.

Best service in the valley hands down. If you car needs work take it to here and ask for chandler. Chandler was very professional and easy to work with he got me approved on the work that needed to be done on my car. Give this man a raise!

I had a tire light come on while I was driving my car and pulled into Maaco. A very nice gentleman was in one of the bays, and I asked him for help. His name was Chandler, and after he checked and filled all four tires, he wouldn't even take a $5 bill I tried to give him. There really are nice people in the world. I told him he was raised well. So I came to AAMCO for a transmission flush. My car runs fine no issues. They said my reverse shifts hard. Lol. Then they made me sign a waiver that since my oil is a lil dark they will not be responsible if anything happens. Also that my transmission should only last like 125k. I have 2 of the same vehicles no issues with either. Been to other shops and they don't do there service the same. I have tpms on I was surprised that they did not mention or try to sell me a tpms. SMH.......

Chandler was polite and knowledgeable. He offered me options on my services and no pressure. I will definitely return to this location.

Took my Mercedes to the shop to see why I was having jerking problems when accelerating on speed, and they told me that I needed a new transmission. The qoute they gave me was 20k for a new one. So I decided to take it to another shop to get another opinion. The guy checks it out and told me that my car only needed transmission fluid and it rides perfectly fine.

Steve at the Chandler location on Arizona ave and Germann was fantastic. Great customer service and very friendly. The AC broke and we didn’t want to waste money and time going to the dealership. Not only did they fix the AC in an hour. It cost less than $500. Great location too!

I go in for a transmission flush then after a hour of them having my car they come back and tell me all the things wrong with my transmission and didn't even do the flush I even showed up early as soon as they opened. to not mess with there schedule. can I just get the service I asked for instead of waisting my time. and telling me its gonna cost 1000 bucks to fix it. do not recommend

I’ve brought both my daughter’s car and my own vehicle to this location. I can’t speak for all locations, but AAMCO Chandler is amazing. Steve, Jeff, and the rest of the staff, are some of the most honest and helpful individuals I’ve encountered in the automotive world and I trust them 100%. Highly suggest and I’ll definitely be back (now with my son’s car)!

Took my car in to check up on my transmission and brakes. Speedy, honest, and didn’t try to force me to buy anything. End of the day bill was $0.00. Will definitely be coming back here. Best experience to date at a mechanic’s shop.

Took my car in for a free AC check since my car was blowing hot air. This location is fairly busy so they most likely aren't able to do a free check the day of but they do provide you with dates 1-2 days later. I schedule mine for the next day in the morning and Steve was a pleasure to speak on the phone. He got my info and asked me what was going on with my AC. I dropped it off and within one hour Steve gave me a call and told me "Good news, seems that a connector to my condensor wasn't plugged in all the way, causing the car to only blow hot air. We didn't find any other issues so you're good to pick up your car." I picked it up, free of charge and he told me maybe the connector might've gotten loose or maybe the connector on the condensor is bad. Either way, it's fixable and they'll be more than happy to help again. First time at this location and so far so good. Steve and the team seem great and I would highly recommend.

Took my car in for a transmission concern and AC repair on a Monday, and was back in my car 3 days later with it driving like new blowing ice cold AC. They were very informative throughout the repair process and also pointed out a few other items that need attention. By far the best repair shop I’ve been to in a long time and will continue to use their services for big repairs.

Several weeks ago we had our Ford Escape transmission rebuilt by AAMCO in Chandler. They got it done quickly and for less money than just replacing it. I didn't write the review right away because I wanted to see how it would do on a trip. I just got back from East Texas and it did great. Very happy!
