Disappointing Experience with Poor Communication and Price Transparency. I have been going to this shop since I moved to Arizona. Initially, I had issues with them not wanting to honor the coupons on their website or seemingly disapproving of them. Additionally, they generally take a very long time—usually 1 to 2 hours or more—for a scheduled oil change. My recent issue is that they’ve recommended replacing the same part for the third time, without reviewing ticket history to see if there’s a deeper cause. When I brought this up, they said they’d need to do a deeper inspection, which would cost several hundred dollars. This in-depth approach should have been recommended initially instead of doing the same repair repeatedly—unless it’s a tactic to increase revenue or reflect well on the front staff’s performance metrics. On a separate occasion, I mentioned I’d already read the error code myself and planned to clean the affected part to see if it would clear the code. They went ahead and checked it anyway during a battery replacement, charging me over $200 for a full diagnostic on the code I had already identified. I ended up paying over $500, even though I had clearly communicated I planned to handle the cleaning myself. Previously, another staff member would always call me before performing any additional work, allowing me to approve it in advance. This time, I was hit with a surprise cost, which caused significant distrust, especially given the recurring recommendation for a repair that hasn’t resolved the issue. When I tried calling, the representative repeatedly told me about having “five tickets in front of him” and implied that checking my vehicle history was a hassle. He also mentioned that older tickets were stored on separate servers rather than being readily accessible, which surprised me. In this day and age, everything should be cloud-synced, not on local hard drives. This raises a serious concern about both their record-keeping and security practices. Finally, I had mentioned that I could find the battery they replaced for around $100 at Home Depot, but their cost was over $200—a steep markup. The person I dealt with, Keath, seemed unwilling to answer my questions or assist with my vehicle concerns from the first call to the in-store interactions. Overall, these experiences have led me to lose trust in this shop. Going forward, I plan to consider mobile mechanics who can offer more transparent and customer-oriented service.

The AC on our car went out one day, and in the hot Arizona heat that just isn't tolerable. Keith got us in fast, diagnosed the issue, and despite the first fix unveiling a secondary issue that also necessitated replacement parts, he was extremely friendly and up-front throughout and got us taken care of quickly! Now the AC runs nice and frosty, and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely be returning next time we need service. The whole team at AZ Automasters certainly take pride in not only the work they do, but also the customer service they provide.

Keith and Jessie at AZ Automasters have gone above and beyond for me and my family. After speaking with Kieth on the phone, I decided this shop would do a better job than the ram dealership. His customer service and knowledge is exceptional. Jessie aided us in contacting our warranty to get repairs covered and a free battery replacement. I would recommend this shop to my friends and family!

The service was excellent, I was helped super fast and everyone was very kind and personable. The person working the front desk, jesse, was super helpful and knowledgeable, on top of being very kind and polite. She is a top-notch service writer! The technician, Mike knew exactly what I wanted and got it done perfectly. I had called a few other shops and none would compress a mcpherson strut and move the leveling ring up, even though I was absolutely willing to pay for the service. There technician looked at my issue and immediately understood and was able to do the job easily. As mobile technician, it is very refreshing to see such a knowledgeable shop and I will be returning for things like HD struts that I can not compress myself.

I want to give a shout out to Jesse and Chris. They are the front line of this business. Took my 2002 C5 in a few times for repairs, maintenance and upgrades. Had an issue with a check engine light. Having to take it back a few time but they took their time, assessed and repaired. The car is running better then ever. The owner Mike came out, took time to talk to me and talked about all the cool things they could to my car. Thank you all for great experience and a place all my family friends can take their car! Also, the animal cookies & Gatorade were a great touch.

This is what a good business looks like!! Mike helped me out and took the time to actually figure out what my cars problem was instead of instantly jumping to the battery, alternator, or ignition switch. The amount of dedication this shop puts in to their customers is amazing! They’re a Good honest mechanic shop! Period. and I know my car is in good hands with you guys. Ive been blessed to find you guys!!

A very good experience. I went in for an oil change, brake check and tire rotation. They automatically checked all the fluids etc. so I can drive my car with confidence that all is well. They were very happy to answer any questions I had. They are my new auto go to place.

2nd time to this amazing facility, for two different reasons I will add. Could not get the 09 Wrangler to pass emissions this last time, quick call and yes, bring it it, we got you. 24 hours later I am breezing through emissions. Hidden gem in Chandler and I am telling everyone I know about them. Thanks AZ Automasters team. Summer vacation trip with Jeep will be epic.

First time customer based on review rating and comments. My vehicle had a unique headlight repair issue (have to remove bumper). They were very courteous, friendly, and transparent every step of the way regarding the work process. Fairly priced. I will return for future repairs and regular maintenance as needed.

The owners communicate with you very clearly and is very upfront and transparent with everything. My car drives great after taken to them. Will come back for sure!

Had a vibration issue in my 2007 Honda Odyssey. They spent lot of quality diagnosis work to narrow down the source of the issue and helped me to make right decision on the course of action. I am impressed with their honesty and diligence.

I took my truck here for several things! The staff were great and they were fairly priced. However, I had one experience that bothers me. Lastly I had brought it for them to install exhaust headers among other parts I had supplied. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, one of the new headers I got was slightly warped and could not seal with the gasket. Instead of calling me beforehand to figure something out or delay the job, they threw them on anyways and just told me when I came to pick it up. This was probably a year ago now, but it still bugs me every time I hear the exhaust leak I haven’t had time to fix myself. Ya had a good thing going for a second there.

I’ve been taking my car here for several months now for both routine service and to address a couple of repair concerns. The team is excellent, courteous, responsive, straightforward, and efficient. Their pricing is reasonable (especially compared to dealerships though unsurprising) and they don’t try and upsell on any unnecessary services. Requesting a quote is very easy on their website, with quick email responses. They work with their customers to educate and advise them on the value of preventative maintenance and tailor their recommendations to each individual vehicle and its needs. I will definitely continue to bring my vehicle here for service and repair in the future. Thank you for all you do!

We made a "cold call" to AZAutomasters at Stellar Airpark on May 1, 2024. Chris offered an appointment time for May 6, 2024. We brought our 2013 Altima to ask that the car be inspected for any suspension needs (107,000 on the ODO). They put the car on the rack for visual inspection. They checked the shocks, struts and alignment and reported "all is good" no work necessary. No charge was levied for the inspection even though we offered to compensate for the appointment. No question that we will seek help from AZAutomasters in the future when we need it--very fair, very honest, very forthright.

We have 3 cars, so we are able to visit often... I have never had a bad experience with Az Automasters. The staff is friendly, helpful and always accommodating. Their work is done in a timely manner. I have never had to return because the problem with the car has not been resolved.

Was originally quoted the wrong price for a particular service but the management quickly corrected the problem. The correction was prompt and courteous and I would highly recommend AZ Auto Masters as your first choice for foreign car service.

I had a great experience here. I brought my car in because I heard a noise while braking and was concerned about the condition of my brakes. The mechanics thoroughly examined my brakes and informed me that no work was needed. It was simply the tire shine causing the noise. I appreciated their honesty and the fact that they didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I will definitely be returning to this shop for any future car needs and would highly recommend them to others. Thank you for being an honest and reliable repair shop!

Went in for a simple oil change. Ending up having my tires rotated as well. They offer me free cold beverage, while I waited in the lobby area. Service took about an hour. Friendly service , lobby area was clean and organized!! I would recommend anyone to visit and have there vehicle serviced here.

It’s so nice to work with a great mechanic who knows who you are when you call. I’ve been taking my car to Rick for around 6 years, and over that time we’ve added all of our family cars to AZ Auto’s customer list. Jessie is always super friendly and helpful when you’re trying to get your car in, and Rick is the best. He knows us, knows our cars and gives us the best prices and options if we need major work done. Car maintenance can be a pain, but having a shop that you knows your name makes it so much easier to deal with. Thank you Rick!

When times got tough over the pandemic I tried some other shops. I won't stray again, this shop always has fair prices and takes great care of my vehicles. They are true professionals, they do what they say and say what they do. Even older vehicles are an easy task for them. I recently had issues at a dealership, I will be bringing my newer vehicle here as well.

I've been trying to change my tail light for a few weeks but have not been successful, my friend tried and failed as well so I took my car to O'Rielly's and they couldn't fix it either. They recommended AZ Automasters and they had it fixed in under twenty minutes! Thank you so much!

I had the pleasure of finding out about this business because I’m a professional hairstylist and I did the GM Jessi’s hair. She is super kind. Rick was the mechanic that helped me with my minor repair. He did it super fast and was very friendly! I’ll definitely be back from my auto repair needs! Definitely recommend.

Professional, Honest & Great Customer Service. I have been taking my ten year old Mazda here for service and repairs for the past 4 years. The staff goes above and beyond in terms of service, and I trust them. The only auto repair shop I have ever highly recommended.

I went to AZ Automasters in Chandler as I was referred to them by a friend. My Lexus dealership quoted $2,955 to replace 2 front wheel bearings and to replace the Upper radiator hose and radiator cap. The dealership also quoted several other 'suggested' repairs costing thousands more. Jessi took down my information and called me back after my Lexus was inspected and informed me that I only needed the 2 Front Wheel Bearings replaced, the Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses replaced and a Coolant flush to fix the car. AZ Automasters charged me $1,441 (1/2 the price quoted from Lexus Service). My Lexus drives like a new car! I could not be happier with the service. I will definitely be taking all my cars to AZ Automasters going forward.

I was having some very random issues with my car. I have been going to AZ Auto Masters for years for oil changes, and other minor things as this car has typically not had any problems. The issues I was having were very mysterious and causing the car to run a fan and not have access to the heater or the air conditioner when it did this. I originally took it to AZ Auto Masters to get an initial explanation as to what was going on as well as a price. Because the car was still running, I continue to drive it for a little bit longer until it started getting worse. I decided to get a second opinion somewhere else close to me, and they told me that I needed to have all my spark plugs redone as well as a couple of other things that were causing this problem. Something didn’t sit right, so I went back to AZ Auto Masters as I have always trusted them. They looked it over again gave me a reasonable price and fixed my car perfectly. I also asked him about the spark plugs, and they said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my spark plugs. Unfortunately that left a bad taste in my mouth to ever go to any other auto repair shop. AZ Auto Masters is trustworthy, reliable, fairly priced, and just an overall really great group of people that are nice and kind, and will take care of their customers no matter what. You won’t be disappointed. Rick and Jesse are simply the best!
