They came out quickly after contacting them to tow our boat home for us after a trailer tire blew out. We were on the side of the Seward highway so they sent an extra truck to help with lights/visibility, it cost a little extra but was worth it as it definitely helped make the process feel more safe with other cars blasting by! The price was fair and they did a good job. We had talked to another company our insurance wanted us to use but they went back and forth hemming and hawing about what tow truck to send and then quoted us 3x as much! Vulcan asked for the trailer/boat measurements and was on their way, no mess no fuss.

I’ve only used Vulcan through my AAA service, and for how frustrating AAA communications are, Vulcan is always a relief to finally get on the phone with. I’ve had multiple tows this year and their office staff, battery team, and towing crew (shout out to my repeat tow-master Scott) are all positive, communicative, reassuring, and helpful. Three cheers for Vulcan! Thanks for keeping me sane this summer with my nightmare of car problems.

Nice driver. I ended up not needing a tow. They said they would refund $20 of my $157 that I was forced to prepay. Then they charged me a refund fee! I got less than $20 back. I'm not happy. I will likely never call them again.

Requested service around noon got here at 3. Not a big deal but they sent someone with a tow truck and no tools and didn’t know how to change a tire. I was told someone else would be here soon, no one showed up so I called back their aaa dispatcher and heard they closed the call out. Don’t recommend this company for anything. Also did capture video of their driver trying to learn how a lug wrench worked on my wife’s car.

I was hit by a drunk driver and my vehicle ended up at the Vulcan lot (totaled). The staff at Vulcan were very helpful, from the tow driver to the office staff to the yard staff. They were able to provide me with the information I needed and helped me get access to my vehicle to gather my items. In a very stressful time, Vulcan managed to not add to my stress level. I sold a truck on May 1st, the balance of which was to be paid within 2 weeks. On May 27th, the truck was impounded and placed into police evidence, then sent to vulcan towing on June 6th, unbeknownst to me. I found out it had been towed on around July 20th,but I could not ever get anyone to Call me back from.poloce evidence Nor could I get a return call from the officer who had it towed. His boss is the one who ultimately called me back. The title was not transferred so it was still in my name. For 46days, it cost $1950. That's more than many live humans pay for rent. $1950 to sit in one spot...not consuming energy or water....just sitting In a small area of the yard. Think of this: if this were a 1000sqft house- how many vehicles could fit In that space? If 70 vehicles fit. That would bring in approx. $91,000 every 30 days. And their yard is huge....so much bigger than my example. Even with the overhead.... they are ripping off their customers like ive rarely seen! And many times, when people get their vehicles back, things are missing items out of them. Why is this being allowed? I had to pay $1950 since I was still the titled owner....despite not being notified that the truck was there (they said they left a message, but I didn't have a voice mail from them). They told me if I didn't pick it up, it would be suctioned in another month, and if it was sold for less than the bill AT THAT TIME, I would be sued for the difference! It was at this point that I told them they wouldn't be getting 1 red cent out of me!! But....I ended up paying to get it out and will re-sell it. This, is probably why I never got another payment from the first person I sold it to! There was drug paraphernalia in the truck... which was probably why that person didn't wanna ask me for my help. Come on, Vulcan towing! You are getting rich on the backs of your consumers! Disgusted.

First off, I’ve NEVER had a car die out on me until I was in for a rude awakening one friday afternoon during 5PM traffic.. Thankfully my brother in law recommended Vulcan Towing! I called and had the option of paying over the phone or waiting until they came and towed my car. Within 10-15 minutes Quyntyn and was very helpful and did his job like a pro! I like that he took pictures of the car before he started loading it as well. So thankful for the Vulcan Towing & Recovery crew, I highly recommend them as they are professional and get their job done quickly and efficiently!

Go online and see what you need to bring. So you dont have to delay. Every day they store it costs $30 split into 12 hr charges of $15. Its going to add up quick. Auctions look promising. Cherrs! Vulcan Towing & Recovery has a long history in Anchorage providing people with help during the more dark moments in life which can come along regarding their vehicles. And since we live in Pothole City come Springtime, I can bet I'm not the only one to have a tire blowout. Remembering how Vulcan Towing helped me when my car stalled in a parking lot several years ago, I gave them a call, and had the situation taken care of within the hour. The young lady who answered the phone was friendly and professional, even during a total blonde moment in my case. And the young man by the name of Cody was super as well. I had no idea how long it would take to wait or how much it would wind up costing me, so just being able to get back on the road and back home in a reasonable amount of time and cost was a big relief. I am so glad that Vulcan is still up and running; helping out those in need, by taking care of the customer. Thank you!

When my vehicle completely died in my work parking garage, it was hard to find someone(especially a Sunday) who would tow my vehicle due to the parking garage issue. Never got one letter from them or bill, until collection contacted me. Called them afterwards asked for breakdown of my bill/debt with them to be emailed to me and sent by mail as well. Vulcan never emailed or mailed the breakdown bill as asked. This shady company puts people through torture and misery just to get their own documents.

Our son’s truck broke down around the Cooper landing area on his way to Ninilchik this afternoon. We needed to get his truck and himself back to Anchorage. From the moment we called, Vulcan was incredible. Very responsive and compassionate with our situation. Dispatch kept us updated and even let us know when the driver arrived to our son. He was broke down right next to the highway in the dark so this really gave me piece of mind. I highly recommend!!!!
