The open hours are listed until 4:30pm. After driving an hour with a truck full of metal they turned me away at 4pm and said they were closed.

Just called them told me I had to have a minimum of 300 lbs of copper wire because I wasn’t a business. Their website does not specify they only deal with business and not private residence. I’m just trying to clean up my property and had some old romax to get rid of. Sounds like they would have done a background check anyways. If your just a regular resident they will turn you away.

They closed early 25 minutes to be exact. Very upset we drove from eagle river. We even called ahead!!!

Employees demanded state I.D., vehicle make, model and license plates. Refused to accept US passport. More than a bit ridiculous, for just dropping off aluminum cans.

The Best recycling company in Alaska! This place is a little hidden but definitely worth The trek to find. The guys there are INCREDIBLE! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND To help me out! I drove from Homer with a whole trailer load of cans, Jake and his team were extremely gracious and took pity on me, and let me bring my load in despite it being the end of their day. Thank you so much Jake! Dean! Ty! You guys rock!

We did show up a little after 4:30 to deliver a pallet of batteries, we are told to go around back. No actual directions given as to what yo do. Some lady comes out demanding id. After unloading pallet from the trailer she then returns my id and says to meet her up front. Not knowing which building she was talking of we guessed to which one she was meaning. She says to sign a receipt and i see the batteries are being paid at .07/lb and decide we are not letting 2k pounds at that rate. They would not allow us to load the batteries back on our trailer because it was too late. They would not pay us for the other materials on the receipt and we had to drive back the next day to get the batteries and deliver them to Alaska Scrap and Recycling on Whitney. Their customer service is much better there and their batteries are bought for .20/pound and aluminum is .22/pound. Where this company is .07 batteries and .10 aluminum. Kate was the scale attendent that night and she has no customer service skills, communication skills or manners.

Seriously low balled for a catalytic converter to recycle. They offered $10 and a 5 minute call around town produced $35. The staff is really nice though and helpful so all isn't bad. Just shop around if you want to recycle your catalytic converters.
