1 Star - Contract Manipulation and Endless Runaround
Beware of their phone sales tactics. What should have been a simple call to remove unwanted dumpsters became a 3+ year nightmare. Their representative convinced our employee (who lacked contract authority) to sign up for service by promising a great "trial rate" - failing to mention it was actually a 3-year binding agreement.
Three years later, we're still fighting to get out. Despite multiple cancellation attempts and switching to call-only service (we haven't been billed in 2.5 years), their contract auto-renewed because we didn't send a certified letter during their impossibly narrow cancellation window.
Their system is designed to trap you: Cancel too early or too late by even a day, and you're stuck for another year. They promise alternative cancellation methods that never materialize, creating endless delays and excuses.
Bottom line: We have unused dumpsters taking up space on our property, no bills to pay, and still can't get rid of them for another 9 months. Waste Management has perfected the art of making customers prisoners of contracts they never truly agreed to.
Find a different company - one that actually wants to earn your business rather than trap you in it.
These guys are too big to care about customers anymore.
As of today after three weeks of talking to different people about simple one yard trash dumpster yet to see the light at the end of the tunnel. While all seem promising with delivery and availability for the dumpster type, we yet to hear from anyone. Multiple attempts to contact over the phone and emails failed through. No response. It is amazing how bad people can be at their job and so ineffective but yet get paid. I guess huge companies not always can keep track of this unfortunate performance.
Update 11/24/24. Friday 2:30 pm finally recycled the dumpster. The company was supposed to notify ahead of time maybe half an hour would be reasonable but only called when they arrived at the location. Once the driver left we decided to look inside just in case. The dumpster was filled with water - hopefully clean about 6”. Perhaps this was one off experience, unfortunately we do not have trust in this company or would recommend it to provide the promised services. We will see how it will go.
I’d suggest to go with Pelliterri much better response and pricing and the same week delivery.
I enjoy this place for pick up! Shipping cut off is 230 pm ... pull on the scale and wait for instructions... hit you door assignment... scale out and grab you gate pass and paper work ...
Semis pull on scale turn off truck n wait for the nice lady. She’ll talk to you through the speaker n give you instructions. Easy in and out in an hour.
Website says site closes at 4:00. We get there on Friday, 11/13 at 2:58 and the gate says the place closes at 2:50. Workers were speeding away as we were left cursing.
This place isn’t open on weekends.
So I have to take off two hours early from work to drop off my leaves which would have stayed on my curb until who-knows-when.
Please city of Madison, designate reasonable hours.
Garbage, good thing this is what this company deals with because it's a reflection of their customer service. Contractors beware!! I called to have a dumpster switched out, they promised it would be the day I called, I had to hold up production waiting on them, and here it is day 2, and still no dumpster...pathetic.. I always use smaller companies for dumpsters,I didn't this time and got burned, never again
