Excellent shop. Very reasonable prices. Everyone is attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Received a quote very quickly and a detailed invoice by text. Kept me updated throughout the day while things were being worked on and even sent pictures. Couldn't ask for more.
I am writing this review against Teays Valley Import and Domestic Auto Shop regarding improper business practices, fraudulent representation of repairs, and a potentially unlawful state inspection.
On a past visit, I was charged $50.00 for a fog light repair. However, the fog light was not repaired. I was told that it had been “temporarily fixed” in order to issue my state inspection sticker. Despite this claim, the fog light remains unrepaired.
After realizing the repair had not actually been completed, I made attempts to resolve the issue. I called the shop several days ago seeking assistance, but no solution was offered. I then went to the shop in person to respectfully request that they either complete the repair or allow me to pay only for the necessary part since I had already been charged for labor according to the invoice.
During this visit, I was treated in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner by the son of the owner. He accused us of lying and dismissed our concerns. The shop has refused to issue a refund for services that were charged but not completed.
Additionally, I am deeply concerned that issuing a state inspection sticker for a vehicle with an unrepaired fog light may violate West Virginia Code §17C-16-7. If the vehicle did not fully meet inspection requirements at the time the sticker was issued, this may constitute fraud under West Virginia law.
I would not recommend this dishonorable shop to anyone given it is hard to find honor amongst society in modern times. There are those who keep honor instead of having a veil up and demonstrating the "act" of it. There are other auto shops that would not treat their customers like this. thank you!

I should have done this sooner. Bad winter for me. I went after storm to ask to check out odd movement. Also side mirror later, fell off my car. 25 yrs old. This old granny went on her own and they drove me home . First time.husband couldn't handle this for me.
Fixed mirror perfect my second time issue.

I came in with a vehicle problem that was probably vague and I had no way to get home other than the vehicle I brought to them. They fixed everything and even found a few things I hadn't noticed yet. It did take about six hours but they fixed everything and I drove home that day. They have a waiting room with water, bathroom and air-conditioning. They don't have Internet but I just used my phone as a hot spot and watched a movie while they worked, there was a tv but I never turned it on. They were the friendliest bunch of people and always kept me updated on what was being done to my vehicle and how much it would cost. I will only be taking my Volvo to them for any future maintenance.

On my way from Ohio to N. Carolina to visit my husband, the fuel tank straps on my truck broke and my fuel tank was dragging on the ground. 2 hours from Ohio and 4 1/2 from N. Carolina and nobidy to turn to. After calling around and being told by other companies they were too busy to even look at it, I called Teays Valley Imports and they said they would help! When I arrived they got me right in and within 3 hours I was back on the road. What a blessing it was for the guys to help in my time of need! They were super friendly and very informative. If I'm ever in the area and need a mechanic again I would definitely use them. Thanks guys!
Great bunch of guys. They know their stuff. They are easy to work with an explain all stuff that needs done. Got a great deal on tires from them an they are fantastic people who know you when you walk in an know your car too. 2/24/23 my daughter brought her car that she wanted to buy up to see if it was okay to buy. The guys did a fantastic job and told her everything that needed to be done and gave her a price. And now that she got the car she is up there having what need to be done fixed immediately after buying it we love these guys.
Huge shout out to Rick and his garage crew...yesterday while traveling from North Carolina to Ohio our car brakes went out. Rick diagnosed our car and got us safely back on the road. Highly recommend...very kind, professional and works quickly. Thank you!!
Highly recommend. They did an amazing job with my wife's vehicle. The did everything they could to pin point and fix the issues. Will bring our vehicles here in the future. My only advice is to be patient because it's worth the wait. In my experience the best quality of service recieved is the ones that take the time to do quality work.
I like their work, but I called 3 times last year for an appointment, but was told each time that they were too busy to commit to a day or time, and to call back next day. I had to find somewhere else.
Both my dad and I have taken our vehicles here to Teays Valley Import. The owners and employees are awesome to deal with, very honest and trustworthy, and they do excellent work. I highly recommend going here.
Ricky was professional, honest, and transparent. Took the time to show me the exact issue with my car and even recommended the best option for me although it meant no money for the garage. Works fast. Highly recommend and will be bringing all my cars here moving forward.
Took our car there and got it fixed, but it came home with another problem. Gave them a second chance, they fixed the second problem (for a price) and sent it out with yet another problem. I will NOT be using thisbgarage again. Heard wonderful things about the old owner, but I have nothing positive to say about the new owner(s).
Great place to go. Great pricing. We had to take our car there to fix the problems another garage had caused. We will definitely 100% be bringing our car back there for any future repairs. Don't pay those ridiculous dealer ship prices. These guys are great.
The person that worked on my car didn’t test drive it and when I went to drive my car home it didn’t get fixed so I wasted my money on the wrong parts if they would’ve told me it was the transmission i wouldnt have paid for the other problem I thought they were supposed to tell you everything that was wrong???????
They've had my car for two months, now. Won't tell me what's going on with it, won't tell me much of ANYTHING, other than the initial "It'll be a week before we get around to it," followed by "we've gotta order a part," "The part's in, we've just got one car ahead of you," "it'll be ready early next week," "it'll be early next week," "it'll be late next week," "there's a car ahead of you," "we need to order a part," "it'll be ready next week," on and on and on for two months.
They're not even keeping track of which excuse they're using, saying that they need to order a part, that the part came in, and that they need to order the part again, or that they're working on it now and then a week later, there's another car ahead of me again.
I hear they do great work. I don't know. I took them my car in early July, and it's September now, and I still don't know what kind of work they do, because they've yet to actually DO any work. If you rely on your car in any way, shape or form, if you need your car to get to or from work, basically if your car is anything other than one of several that you just keep in your garage and drive on weekends, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.
