WM as a overall company does a good job. Individual routes have day to day issues that should be handled locally unfortunately I’ve had to call main office to get them resolved several times. I am handicapped and have certain limitations that weren’t communicated to new drivers that caused some issues and confusion. But they were resolved quickly after a phone call was made. Overall a good company at a fair price with hard working employees.

Two weeks in a row no trash pick up. Last week there wasn’t even any snow on our road. This week there was a little bit of snow but cars got up and down just fine. They don’t answer their phone, they redirect you to the website, and then it hangs up.

These guys work their tail ends off. Much appreciated !

Trash service has been great in my area. No issues

Tried contacting WM to get a damaged container replaced. Endless loops online, endless wait times for chat agents, an 800 phone number that doesn’t respond to inputs. Gave up. Self service option said I don’t have any available containers at my address. I clearly do, and it is damaged. ?‍♂️ Wanted to update to be fair. Once I was able to actually contact WM, our damaged container was replaced quickly.

They charge you for service even when they do not provide it for three weeks, offer you no compensation for their failures, and then jack your prices up.

Multiple missed pick ups, many times with no communication nor attempt to remedy. Yet, never once has removed charge/credited the account for the missed service! Also terribly hard to be able to speak with someone…when I finally did, they promised to call me back with solution…that was 3 weeks ago, still no response/conclusion to my concerns.

I really like this company they do a great job and their drivers are considerate

WM is excellent! We had another provider (allied) in the past who would refuse to pick up our trash for some reason - bill was always paid and they would pick up our neighbors trash but would skip ours, even after repeated calls. Absolutely no problems with WM, excellent service, thank you! Gradually everyone in our neighborhood is switching to WM...

They are quick to close your account when you miss a payment. But if they are short a driver or weather issues there is no compensation for it when they don't show up to pick up the trash.

WM is dependable; treat waste containers with respect and without damage; drivers are professional and considerate. The service is worth the expense.

They drive in people elderly yard making a ditch even driving over the side walk into peoples yards please stop doing yard damage besides bad driving and being sloppy putting trash cans back with lid open!. you guys do great labor of work for the most part of working!

Just moved in to a new townhome and was sure I could depend on WM ! Well turns out not only have I had to pay twice for service but service has never been rendered , Go figure I guess ? Not to mention you no live person to speak with. Does anyone know how Republic is or of any in the Hurricane area ?

Easy to set up service. Delivery was very quick with the pick up cans. No issues at all.

I’ve never really had and issue except for the fuel surcharge in 2008 that never has expired to my knowledge Also recently I learned there are no bulk pickup services for yard waste that is bagged It seems strange that everything else including hot water tanks and furniture are no problem No sticks leaves or grass ! Too many new price increases for the same service. Also bulk pickup is no longer included with the service. It is an extra charge and in my case a bed and mattress were a total of 60$ to be picked up one week apart. Charging extra for a previously included service is price gouging

On the most part Waste Management is a complete waste management company. The trucks are well maintained and dependable. The drivers seem to be over worked, therefore grumpy. I have for the driver to contact me, but to contact the customer, is forbidden.The driver always kicks my containers and leave the lids open for precipitation , water and snow.

I love they upgraded to WM management bins for us, also I was out of town for a few days and my original bin blew over into the street, it was like that for days until WM came to bring me their bin, and the guy picked up my original bin for me and put it back on my property when NONE of my many neighbors did not, so Thank you very much for that?

The driver did such an awful job at picking up trash this morning. Instead of putting the garbage bin down on the side of my driveway. He dropped it from mid air to the road and it fell and could have blocked the traffic. He didn’t even bother to check and pick it up. I didn’t know about this til a neighbor called me.

Hasn't picked up trash for 3 weeks due to weather but delivery people come out every day! What are people supposed to do with trash that piles up that will not fit in can? I bet WM will not adjust the bill either!

WM arrives on time to pick up my residential trash. Bills are easy to read and understand. Good experience with the company and drivers who operate the truck. Consistent and reliable.

My experience with wm has been awesome. I have not had any problems with their services. The drive is consistent with time of pickup and has never left a mess.

Unhappy overall right now only option. If a bag is broken or they are late and a dog gets into my bag because they are late they just leave it all gross. If a bag is too "heavy" they leave it with no word at all which is weird because my small wife carried it to the road. Literally just a bag of drywall scraps one time I can carry three sheets at a time... never know if trash is gonna run Wednesday or Thursday. My trashcan lids are laying on the ground disconnected from my cans sometimes, although I can't really say it is them..but the online portion not involving people is great bills are easy to comprehend ect. But the rules of pickup are vague to me.

It's nearly impossible to talk to human at this company. Their automated system goes around and around. I went almost three weeks where no one picked up the trash, automated system was told missed pickups but no one picked it up. Then I had to spend $10 for a plastic mattress cover for "free" bulk pick ups only on the second Tuesday of the month. Did they pick it up? Nope. How long did it take me to defeat the computer to get to a human? 25 minutes. Was that human helpful? Nope. Is the mattress still sitting by the road? Absolutely. Some people have problems not solved by your automated system. Make it easier to talk to a human because it makes your customer service awful. No one likes trash sitting by the road for days or weeks.

Pick up of trash has been excellent lately. One issue I have with WM is it provides no guidance on what can and what should not be in the trash. I am an environmental engineer familiar with solid waste disposal and know that some things should not go in regular landfills. But does the general Public know? Why does WM not provide regular reminders of materials that should not go in the landfill in my area?

I hate writing negative reviews, but this company has forced me to do so. I have about 30 emails / txt messages from a company representative, promising me services price and scheduling that not only never materialized but turned out to be a NIGHTMARE and begged me the question of “how are they still doing business in my town?!”. WASTE Management is a horrible company to be deal With on the administrative side. They have deceptive billing practices. I have switched to a competitor (MSW) and I’ve been very pleased with the services and the cost point they offer. This review has not been for the delivery drivers themselves as they did an amazing job of what was asked of them from an administration standpoint.

We have been pleased with our service from Waste Management. Bills are easy with auto-pay, they are dependable to pick up our garbage, and they leave our site clean. We live on a narrow road and the driver is careful and cooperative about letting traffic flow. I wish they provided recycling services in our area.

When they show up to collect garbage, the service is fine. However, if I need to contact the company for any reason, good luck! They are impossible to reach. When I call them, I reach an out of state call center who knows nothing about my area. We went 4 weeks straight with no garbage pickup. We made 3 calls, and each time were promised that someone would be by to pick up our garbage. Nobody ever came, and we never received a call back. There is no way to reach the local WM office. Calls to the local office ring in at a call center in Texas. WM needs some competition in West Virginia.
