Nice store and friendly staff, but pricing methods need improvement. Employees appear to rely on Google Lens, which shows listing prices rather than actual sold values. This often results in inaccurate pricing. Staff should be trained to check sold comps instead of listings to better reflect real market value.

I love going here just to listen to the music that they play. It's usually some good oldies. I've heard Melanie sing along very well to a lot of songs. Today was Elvis for the hour or so that I was there; I love Elvis so I sang. The prices are good. I got a bunch of nice Tupperware and plastic plate for 10 cents each. It's really well organized and clean. Today they were sorting through about 10 carts of stuff that was donated and pricing it. They let shoppers look through the unpriced stuff and made up a price if interested. Everyone was friendly. I got a lot of inexpensive treasures.

Great little place to shop for home decor items, furniture, and treasures. Very few in stock items for remodeling, construction or building projects.

Got there 20 minutes before they were closing but they never mentioned the closing time. I hurried through just to get an idea of what they had. So many potentially cool things, I'm going back when I have about an hour to browse! Recommend at least stopping in.

Every so often, we hear grumbling about pricing - usually that something is too high. No one ever complains about a price that is too low. :) If you think that something is priced too high - don't buy it! Prices on unsold items will be reduced over time to keep inventory moving - so you might just need to wait until the price matches your expectation. If someone buys it before you do, the price was right! At least for them. Here's our approach to pricing. Prices for ReStore merchandise are set by ReStore staff and approved, experienced volunteers using the ReStore Price Book and information gathered online from reputable sellers of furniture, building materials, and other household items. Prices are generally set at or near 50% of the typical retail price when new, but may be priced more or less depending on age, condition, and/or quantity. Items for sale will be marked with a price tag that displays the price and the date that the price was set. We don't allow price negotiation with ReStore customers - that would just be too difficult to manage. Items are priced according to their condition - any damage is accounted for during the initial pricing process. If an item is damaged while it is on the sales floor, it should be marked down (retagged) by the first manager to notice the damage. In an effort to keep inventory turning over and prevent stagnant displays, the manager will periodically walk the sales floor looking for important items that need to be reduced in price. Special attention is given to large items, items on endcaps, and furniture. The manager may assign this task to other employees and other employees are always encouraged to suggest items that need price reductions. New price stickers, with the new date, should be placed over top of the existing tag. Remember, in the end, we are here to support the construction of affordable housing for our neighbors. Proceeds from ReStore sales help us purchase the necessary materials to support this mission. Thanks and we hope to see you at our Charleston or Teays Valley ReStore locations very soon! Been going here for years. The prices over the past eight months high skyrocketed. This is not an antique store. It is not a retail store. It is akin to a thrift store. Why is a nonprofit pricing a donated item that high? It's a shame because in addition to being affordable for me and my needs it felt like a place that was serving it's community with both it's pricing of the donated product and with their mission in rebuilding homes. Please, ReStore, make it make sense. Did you forget your mission? "ReStores accept donations and sell a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price, while diverting reusable household items like used furniture and building materials from area landfills."

I have been going to this restore for years. I’ve noticed over the past 6 months the prices have skyrocketed. We asked why the prices have dramatically increased. They said that they do online research and price half of the value of the items. This might as well be an antique store instead of a thrift store. Defeats the purpose of being a ReStore. There seem to be no more thrift stores left in the Valley.

I enjoy visiting Restore Teays! The ladies who work there are very helpful and kind. I purchased a beautiful chair for $25.

This was not a proper restore. Contractors donate and buy from the restore. This is a high-priced novelty store run by pompous house hoarders. Go to Charleston to see the right way. This location needs to change its name or its management.

This was the nicest Restore I have visited. They have a very nice variety of goods for the home. If you're just starting out renting or buying your first home, I'd suggest you visit here first for furnishings.

I used to love this place. However, I had a bad experience when I went there on Mother’s Day with my mom and my sister. A worker told me one price and when I went to check out it was another. The red head (I am assuming the manager her name was Melody/ Melanie, M something) checking me out did not like that she would have to give it to me at a lower price and proceeded to take it out on my sister when she checked out after I had went outside. When my sister asked for a receipt the same lady said “does your mommy need to see your receipt”. I thought that was very unprofessional and just petty. I try to never leave bad reviews because I have worked in customer service but this was ridiculous. Not to mention they are getting really expensive and doing retail prices for this stuff now. I will never go here again and neither will my family due to the bad attitude of one employee.

Love, love, love this thrift store! Good variety that's always changing. I even bought some furniture here in really nice shape. It was a couch and love seat, and a Hendridon end table. Every kind of chachka and neat things for decorating your home. Friendly, helpful staff! We stop here just for the fun of it sometimes, too. You should try this well organized, well stocked thrift store. You will love it, too.

The staff at this location is so friendly! I also got a great deal on a plate set. It was 20% off (for being there longer than 30 days) plus they were running a special for an extra 20% off your purchase price!

This little shop is bursting with really cool finds, they do more of the home decor and antiques, they send donations of building materials to the Charleston store. I could've stayed here all day looking and rummaging

First time in- wonderful impression from available products, and lovely staff. Assistance was fantastic (even had an employee help carry my purchases to my vehicle, so I didn't accidentally break anything.) Was asked to sign up for occasional emails. Great deals for nearly everything between books, furniture, paintings, antiques such as record players, dining tables, etc. Wonderful variety! Definitely will return. Definitely recommend visiting if interested in miscellaneous items in great condition for extremely affordable prices.

I love this store and have bought many items there. It is run more like a boutique and less like a thrift store. The employees are really friendly. This store mostly has furniture, decor, and household items as well as books, and children's items. It also has a paint section where gallons of premixed paint goes for $12. They also have all the painting supplies to go with it. Prices are really inexpensive and goes down the longer they have an item. My daughter and I go at least once a week and sometimes more.

I was recently in your store last Saturday with my wife. I was looking at some extension poles for painting that were unmarked. I asked a lady for a price and she marked them $1. She also marked the paint mixer attachment for a drill at $1. I went to pay and the lady at the counter tells me the pricing is wrong and she begins to try to find the prices in the price sheet. Several people were in line waiting to pay and it became really embarrassing. It wasn't like I had a price gun and marked it myself. I know you are non profit and I asked more than once if the pricing the woman put on the items were correct. I had $4 in my hand and gave it to the lady at the counter as a donation and told her I wouldn't be back. Please in the future make sure your items are priced properly.

This store is so charming. The staff have taken a plethora of discarded homewares and transformed a would be junk store into a boutique. The prices are so low I felt a little guilty so I tossed some extra change in the donation jar. The staff and customers chatted giving an old fashioned feel to a wonderful shopping experience.

What a treasure!!! The store was beautifully decorated. Things weren't just sitting around or on shelves. They were wonderfully displayed. The staff were incredible, cheerful, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend a visit asap.
