Tent camped in site T2 and had a wonderful time. Downside is no close parking to the site and parking lot is on the other side of a neighboring camper site. Camping items must be packed into the woods to the site. Reservations cannot be made online and will only be taken by phone. You will be assigned a campsite by phone the day before arrival. You cannot choose which site you want. That being said though, we were lucky. Our assigned site was beautiful. Once everything was set up and we could truly enjoy the location we had a wonderful time. Lake front views, perfect fishing spot and private access for our kayaks. Being in the cool forest shade kept the hot summer temperatures bearable. The Lodge was a peaceful boardwalk stroll across the lake where we enjoyed a quick dip in the pool before a thunderstorm closed it down. The indoor/outdoor pool is very large but due to the hot day crowding, finding a chair was difficult.

Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Briar Point Campground in Stonewall Resort Road to: Overall good, the campground is a short distance from the interstate. Road inside: Mostly paved and in good condition. Trees: The tree at our site hit our patio awning. Needs to be trimmed. Check in: Small size office. You must go to the right side. Parking: Small size parking. Parking is limited Seasonal campers: None. Signage: good Site 20: Asphalt pad, and level. Had table and fire pit on gravel. Site is dry. Nice view of the lake. View: view of the lake. Site spacing: Good spacing. Bathhouse: Did not use, but it is basic. Laundry room: Did not see. Swimming pool: The resort lodge has a pool that campers can use. Club house: That would be the lodge. Fitness area: Did not see. Restaurant: Yes, they have three. Grounds: Good. Air TV: None. Wifi: Did not use, so not sure. So here is the bad: 1) Very expensive. 2) Only a few sites have 50 amp. Summer time is too hot for 30 amp service. Sites 12, 31, 21 and 20 are good. Some sites are not big enough for a 40 foot motorhome. I would come back.

We have been traveling for over 45 days and have stayed at many campgrounds. This was the most pricey. Our site had very little shade but the view was appealing of the golf course and bridge to the resort. The all you can eat buffet at the resort was priced right and yummy.

We have never stayed there.....but be aware when you book you are not told your entire deposit will be forfeited if you cancel even 7 months out. This information does not come to you in an email, no one tells you when you book. You must look on the website in the "contract" Be sure you won't need to cancel before you book, they will keep your deposit if you do which is 50% of your entire stay.

Briar Point Campground is a small peninsula that juts into the West Fork River. The shape means that almost all campsites have beautiful views of the surrounding area. The campsites are very close and look right in on one another without any privacy screening, which you might want to know ahead of time. The campground has two bathhouses, and the central one includes showers. My wife and I camped in the back of our SUV in late fall for one night during a cross-state road trip. These photos were taken around 8 am the week of 10/28/2024. The amenities come at a fee. Rates are listed on the WV State Parks website. I recommend making reservations. There are 40 campsites in total, all of which have power hookups. Here are the specific details from the state parks website: - Seven sites with 50amp electric, 33 sites with 30amp electric - Full hook ups including electric, water and sewage on all RV sites - Five deluxe tent sites - One large tent site - Mooring posts available on a first come, first serve basis - Complimentary high-speed WiFi

Paved level lots with spacious room in between sites. Beautiful scenery. Very quiet and peaceful. A hidden gem, right in the heart of our beautiful state.

Beautiful campground with views. Quiet and clean! Going back again next year

Beautiful, spacious, level spots! Already booked for next year. Stopped in to have a beer at the resort bar and it was very expensive ($25 plus tip for 2 draft talls)but loved the campground.

Nice campground inside Stonewall Resort. A little pricey but definitely better value than KOA or other places that advertise as resorts. We tried to rent one of the Craig Cat boats at the Marina but they were fully booked for several days. We went over to the main resort building and enjoyed the swimming pool, which was not too crowded. Checked out the exercise equipment while we were there and it looked very nice. Bathroom were very nice and clean; we used their showers rather than our RV. We booked one of the "Premium Lake View Sites" which was nice. I believe it was site 9 and it was directly across from the bath house.

Campground is clean and well taken care of. Full hookup with spacious sites.

It is my absolute favorite place to camp in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. My only disappointment was the overgrown grass between the premium sites along the lake and the lake which obstructed our view of the lake. We have been coming here for years and never has the grass been so overgrown. We missed those beautiful views

I love camping at Stonewall Jackson but when I called today just to check to see if anyone has cancelled this upcoming weekend (because you never know !) the lady working today was extremely rude , making us feel stupid for even calling to check for a chance of a reservation. I get that the campground is “booked all year” but situations come up and people cancel. Maybe the gate reservation lady should be more friendly. No harm no foul.

If camping with a water view is your desire, this is the place for you. Just a few short miles off the interstate highway, ALL the campsites have a view that includes water. There are prime views, so check out the map and availability if that is important to you. Full hook ups for your rig with a few tent sites, you are across from the resort, so glampers can get to the restaurants if you don’t want to cook out that night. The restaurant has a dockside pickup if you call in your order and pull up in your craft. The marina is close by and offers boat rentals. The short walk to the resort offers electric bike rentals and for a small daily fee use of the pool and exercise facilities for up to four people.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in our travel trailer in early June 2023. We had Site 18, which is a premium lake view site. It was an excellent, roomy site, with a beautiful view and a level parking pad (no leveling needed!). I took hikes in the park, we ate one evening at the resort restaurant, and we toured other local areas. Overall a very positive experience. One note-some of the sites, particularly as you enter the campground are not spacious but are crowded and congested. Try to get a site more toward the back of the campground.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds in the state, especially if you're not looking for a ton of privacy as this sits on the lake, directly across from the Stonewall Resort lodge. The only downside is the normal price per night. We typically stay in the colder months when the prices are cheaper.

Beautiful campground with all full hookup & all back-in sites right on the lake. Reservations for the weekends must be made months in advance.

Quiet, spacious, clean campgrounds. Great shade trees, playground, clean shower houses, views of lake.

Beautiful, quiet place to stay but needs 50 AMP service for larger rigs.

The rv sites look great but the tent sites are kind of neglected. Maybe it's just the season is just starting but the tent sites need work. Nothing to crazy just some tree trimming, pathway care, and general upkeep like removing masses of leaves from around the platforms. Update: so after staying for a few days and getting a better feel for the place I'm actually removing a star. I stand by the rv sites are great. The tent sites tho are not, after a bit of rain it became even more transparent. So first the pathways are horrid in need of work and some gravel, the trees need trimmed back so you can appreciate the view of the lake, the area needs cleaned up of brush and debris. Another big thing for me was that the bathrooms are extremely far away like there should be something just a bit closer to the tent sites, like the shower house is whatever but a necessity like the bathroom needs to be closer unless the would rather you take a dump by the lake.

beautiful spot but drilling rig next to campground was noisy until almost 6 pm. it would have been nice to know this before checking in. A beautiful spot spoiled by poor communication.

Best place I’ve stayed at. Fabulous lake view, well kept camp sites, convenient trash areas electric, water & dump station. The bathrooms are clean & well maintained. The lake is a good size with fishing and boating. You can even borrow a fishing rod for free from the resort right across the lake! There is a convenient boardwalk that joins the campground to the resort. There is everything you could wish for at the resort- tour boat rides in the lake, golf, a pool, hot tub, bar, a couple of restaurants with an amazing outdoor seating area…Not to mention the massages! Something for everyone- camping, fishing, boating and a full service resort in a gorgeous setting. We are already planning to bring back the entire family to stay at this campground.

The most beautiful place I have ever camped! I didn't want to leave. We only spent the night but it looked like there was so much to do. Perfect place for an outdoor adventure.

Campground laid out well, decent room, water views, good washrooms. Good for trailers and self contained stuff. Water and power at all sites. Tent campers beware. Only 5 sites all down by the lake but a steep 75 yards from parking lot to any of the 5 tent sites. Water and washroom quite a ways away..

Very clean campground with well kept RV sites. We were tent camping but as someone who has traveled in both C and A class motorhomes, these were by far the nicest and most spacious sites I've seen. They were all very level (from what I could tell), the parking spot was paved, hookups were easily accessible, and there was a large gravel pit next to the parking spot with nice picnic tables and fire pits. The bathhouses are easily accessible by all sites and very clean, not to mention heated! WIFI was easily accessible and surprisingly strong, to the point I was able to have over an hour long Zoom call with multiple people with very little stuttering or lag. I would highly recommend this place to tent and RV campers alike. Even the largest RV's with the most anxious drivers would be comfortable here.

We usually love camping here, however it is not the same as it used to be when we first started years ago. Campsites are not well maintained and they haven't kept up with the demand for 50 amp sites, only six or 7 out of 40 have 50 amp, but they had money to build tennis courts! They have rules, but no one follows them! Too many cars and boats parked all over the place where they aren't supposed to be, sometimes I feel like I'm camping in a parking lot! A lot of people don't pick up after their dogs. The lake is nice, however there is no designated swimming area and with geese all over them place it is hard to find a clean area to swim! All in all, becoming disenfranchised with this campground which used to be so nice!

Overall clean place with fair prices. Lake was clean. Tent sites are paired and secluded but no water or electricity hookups. Good luck renting a boat, they will sell your reservation to someone willing to pay extra under the table it seems. The lake seems clean, we swam in it. Renting water toys was a little confusing too, hard to find the activities desk. Would still recommend anyone to visit.

Nice campsites full hookups and a great lake for fishing and boating And as a added bonus the resort is right next door

Was offered a premium waterfront campsite but not allowed to pick the site. What I got was the worst site in the park. There was a fence and electrical equipment between me and my waterfront view. My picnic table was behind my motorhome right next to the table of the neighbors and 25' from my fire ring. Their fire ring was 10' away. Most spots are very spacious but I was very close to my neighbor. When I arrived the driveway was under water and I could not go out the coach door. Had to go in puddles and deep mud to hook up power. When I called to complain the very nice attendant told me I could move but I had already hooked up and it was dark. She said that site was known to flood. There are many nice spots here but since you can't choose, I would go somewhere else. Don't choose site 9.
