Broke down on 81 Sunday afternoon they got the van in first thing Monday morning up and running and back on the road by 2pm!! Very nice people and reasonably priced work!!

Computers down, had to wait. Over charge labor(out of state people), but owner drives 88,000 dollar truck. Go figure. Said he gave me a deal. I disagree. It would have cost me half, back home! My air conditioner is not cool. Only few days and back to what is was. Owner did work. I thought Myrtle Beach was bad. I'm moving to area. Will not do business with this garage anymore. What a disappointment. This does not reflect on mechanics. Only to the owner and upper management. Not good for community!

Took our truck in for transmission service. Wonderful and quick service. Highly recommend.

These guys were very kind, however…I had my VW Passat towed here after it broke down on the interstate. They said it was knocking and quoted me 7k for a used engine. I had the car towed to my personal mechanic and as I suspected, it was the turbocharger, which is significantly less to replace. I’m not saying they don’t know what they’re doing, but I don’t recommend taking a European car to them.

I was traveling from Southern West Virginia to Western Maryland, about a 4 hour drive. My alternator went out on my Toyota, which is a several hour job, due to how it's set up. Marty brought me right in! Saved the day, THANK YOU!!!

I just picked up my Focus from them. They did a great job, quickly, and for a fair price. Will definitely use them again.

We were out of state on a mini vacation, and our car broke down. We were extremely lucky to have our car towed here. They diagnosed it was the starter, ordered the part and got us fixed up and out the door within hours. They really saved the day.

Update 4/22/2025– Marty continues to be an excellent honest dependable automotive repair technician. He and his team do a great job of diagnosing and repairing technical problems . They are reliable about getting the work started and completed in a timely fashion. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for this kind of technical service. We had an oil leak that required several hours of work to find and repair. Thank goodness Marty was available . Outstanding service! My a/c went out late Thursday afternoon 100 miles from Lexington. Called Marty and he said bring it Friday AM. I did and he had the part Monday AM and car ready by 2 PM! Will recommend to everyone to use his repair shop.

Had trouble with our vehicle this morning on interstate 81. Got in touch with Timber Ridge. They got us back on the road in short order and the bill was very reasonable! Thank yall for great service. Great people too!! I highly recommend them!!

Heading up to PA for a funeral and Timber Auto Sales saved the trip. Had a brake caliper bracket bolt fall out while going down the highway. 5hrs from home, 4hrs from our destination and we thought we were in trouble. They were able to work us in and get us back on the road in no time. We are super grateful for the team here.

This place is great I was passing through found out I needed new rotors and pads on the from of my jeep. They got us put in the mix and I was very pleased with the work and also was very happy with the price. It was about 250 less than I expected. A very honest and friendly shop.

Marty and Kyle were literally angels that were put in the right place at the right time for our family. After losing our youngest child less then 3 weeks ago we had to travel from NJ to Louisiana for our oldest childs wedding. Only 5 hrs into our 18hr trip our car broke down and the local autozone recommended Timber ridge. With no rental cars anywhere and knowing it would take some time to fix the car, Kyle the mechanic volunteered to stay late to fix it and Marty went right away to retrieve the parts needed. They got us back on the road 5 hrs later. Thanks to them and their kindness we made it to the wedding. If you're local this is where you should go and if you ever find yourself in a jam on the highway this is where the auto angels are!!!!!!! Thank you again, The Turner and Berry family ❤️

I had an issue with my truck last night and was stuck in a hotel parking lot over night. Called them first thing this morning and he told me to come in he would check it out. I pulled in and he came right out to look at my truck. Fixed it right off and sent me on my way. They were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

On our way to Massachusetts from Nashville, Tennessee. Our car broke down and the tow company recommended Timber Ridge auto center. They fixed our car right away and at a fair price and fantastic customer service. Would be my #1 mechanic if I lived around there. Thanks to Marty and the team.

Our car stopped in Lexington in the middle of a long trip. It was towed to Timber Ridge Auto late in the evening. The next morning Marty had the alternator replaced by 11:00 and we were on our way. Outstanding fast service completed at a reasonable price.

My car broke down on a Saturday and Marty came in on Sunday morning to fix the issue with it. He was very communicative and helpful. I highly recommend this shop and I am very thankful for their help.

Hands down the very best place in town to get your vehicle fixed. We have been a customer for over 20yrs with various vehicles, and they have done us right every time.

I recommend this company highly. An auxilliary radiator in my BMW cracked on the way back to New England. I was so lucky to find Timber Ridge. Owner Marty Strecker and his team are honest and competent. They got the part expressed to them and I was back on the road next day. Charges were fair and, if I ever break down again, I hope it is in Lexington, VA. You are in good hands with Timber Ridge Auto Center.

Great job well done, I'd highly recommend them.i was traveling from my property in Tennessee and my transmission went out of my truck, I nursed it off the highway and went to see if theircwas room to leave it and by luck they were closed but the lady forgot something and said to park it in an area and would be about a week before they could look it over 3 days later I got a call was told the price, being I wasn't a local I checked with a guy up home and he said he charges the same. They're strait shooters and honest folks. Sometimes traveling people try to rip you off but not these folks. Great staff and done a quality job.

I was driving on 81 and 3 hours into an 8 hour drive when my left axle broke off my car. Nightmare. I called AAA and got towed to their shop. They did their work and told me the problem is the transmission had some weird thing where it won't hold the axle well, but it would take 8 days to get the part and fix it (totally understandable!). It was a nightmare because I was 5 hours from home, so they told me they could try to put a new axle in and I could see if it would hold. They were super honest with me and told me it might hold for 10,000 miles or I might make it 20 miles and break down again. They did it and it held and I made it home (though it's not going to hold much longer and I am getting a refurbished transmission). Anyways, they were amazing. They walked me through my options and were super honest with me the entire time. I am so, so grateful for them.

While traveling we had an issue with our muffler. They couldn't fix it but they patched it enough to get us back on the road. 20 minutes tops. Great guys. Thank you. 😊

Our alternator went bad 3 hours into our 22 hour trip. Marty got us right in and our family hung out in the AC while they fixed our van at a very good price.

My mom and I were traveling from Delaware to Tennessee to get my dad in the hospital after being involved in a motorcycle accident. We had stopped to grab a bite to eat and got back on the highway when the check engine light came on. We got off the next exit to pull into a truck stop for assistance. Saw the sign for Timber Ridge as we exited and it was like a sign from above. Pulled in and within minutes were informed the O2 sensor was going bad. Had the part installed and back on the road within an hour. Great, friendly, professional service and thankful we were in the right place at the right time. Thank you for getting us back on the road so quickly.

The rest of the shop may be good, but NEVER take your car there if Marty Strecker is doing the work. He is the most unfriendly person I have experienced at an auto repair shop. Not only to me, but also my mother when we called asking how it was going. Also took over a month and a half for him to put an engine in my car, and when I got it back, I drove it for three days. After those three days my car broke down an hour and a half away, because he didn't put transmission fluid back in my car. Never take your car here if he's working on it.

If I could give this place less than one star I would! My husband & I was traveling to Woodstock, Va from Kentucky when our brakes went out. The brake line had busted in two places while traveling on the interstate. We got off at the nearest exit and stopped at the first place we found, this place called Timber Ridge Auto Center. When we went in it was about an hour before their closing time. My husband (who is also a mechanic) explained what had happened. Not only did they offer no assistance at all, the guy sitting on his bum behind the counter and the other guys sitting on the couch acted totally unconcerned and disinterested. Talk about poor customer service! If that had been a family in similar circumstances who stopped by my husband’s shop, he would have stopped whatever he was doing long enough to help someone in a crisis situation! Especially something that only took half an hour to 45 mins to fix. What happened to southern hospitality??? We thought maybe that didn’t exist around these parts until we stopped at a place down the street in Fairfield. Not only did those guys help us, they stayed late to do it! Over 400 miles from home with truck problems is never a good thing. Timber ridge Auto Center not only fixed my truck but did it on the weekend after hours just to make sure we were able to get home with five horses from the show we were at. Great job guys! We were in bad shape on the Interstate far from home, with a truck fifth wheel trailer and lights on the dash that tod us something that was badly wrong with the brakes. Timber Ridge was the first place we came upon, and that was our good fortune. Our truck is 15 years old, and it wasn't easy for Marty to get the parts needed. But he did; they arrived the following day. He set aside his other work to do instal the parts, and got us on our way. He also advised us not to drive away, and found a level spot on his property for us to set up our fifth wheel. He helped us connect to his water and electricity lines, so we were comfortable while we waited for the parts. I have a British accent uncommon in Southern Virginia, and it wasn't always easy for us to understand each other. Marty has somthing of a gruff manner, but underneath that is a heart of gold. He went far beyond what we could have hoped for in helping us out in what for us was a tough spot. Many thanks!
