Had to have a vintage Scout towed to a repair shop. Eric was friendly and professional, but most of all he displayed all the care for the vehicle we could have asked for. He checked and double checked everything. He made us feel comfortable releasing control of our almost 50 year old treasured vehicle to him.

Words cannot express how pleased I am with these guys. I was a whole fool and drove a truck into my backyard and got stuck. I’d forgotten the rain/snow recently, and as a result the ground was the consistency of chowder. So when the mushy earth decided it had a hunger that only the flesh of an F-150 can satisfy, it was naturally made worse by engaging 4x4 and getting stuck deeper. I initially called a different service, and when they showed up ill prepared, unprofessional, and all around sketchy, I was back at square one with a stuck truck and a setting sun. Called some other services, they said they couldn’t do it. When we called City Wide, they said they’d give it a try. First, Eric came out, surveyed the scene, and initially said it couldn’t be done. Disappointing, but not surprising, and I appreciated the honesty. But then he decided he was intrigued by the challenge and called another guy he knew whose truck had a longer winch cable. Enter David! A consummate professional. Unfortunately, Eric had to go to another call because someone else had the audacity to have car issues at the same time as myself, so he didn’t get to see the truck freed from its muddy prison. But David was able to get it done. With my dad behind the wheel, me relaying instructions from David, and him operating the winch, the truck was back onto pavement with no damage to the vehicle. These guys were able to bring our unfortunate misadventure to a safe conclusion. All that to say, these guys are great. Professional, affordable, and didn’t make me feel stupid for my miscalculation. You, potential customer reading this, can absolutely trust these guys to help you out with your own vehicular woes.
I recently received a Tow from City Wide Towing, and they (again) exceeded my expectations! Car wouldn’t start after I left chic fil a. They were able to get out there in 20 minutes after calling them. They offered to jump the car before towing it. Very respectful people and do excellent work for a great price! Highly Recommend!
Not actually 24 hours. So if your car gets towed at 1am, and you have work the next day, you're screwed, no one cares. Sucks to be me. Won't be making any money today
Set up for a first in a lifetime trip to drive from Newport News to Key West FL and my starter took a crap. Had a couple other companies recommend City Wide themselves and City Wide showed up in 20 minutes. Great Customer Service and Excellent Price!! Oh this place is so nice,helpful and fast. I used them twice 2 days in a row and both days was awesome experience. Called got a quote the first day the guy was so sweet and helpful he said 30 mins. It wasn’t even 30 mins the truck driver was at my location. Next day, I used them again and called the lady caller was such a sweetheart fast pick up again and both times was cheap. Definitely will use them again
The lady on the phone was very professional and understanding as I was in a hurry to get someone to tow my car after getting two flat tires. The driver was nice and understanding as well and got there in a timely manner. They were able to get my car safely to it’s destination. I would highly recommend in a jiffy.
Their response time was surprisingly quick, when comparing tow companies. More than that, the tow operator was an angel in disguise . This guy was very knowledgeable, patient, and extremely customer focused. The thing is, getting your car towed is the end of a stressful situation. Having someone that can help ease the stress is a BIG plus and this guy did it! I told him, I would say a special prayer that all he does shall be returned...., and it will be given to you. Came out on a Saturday morning and picked up my kid's 1st project car with care and compassion. A non running Dodge Stealth R/T that Luis even helped to hand push into our garage!!! My driver, Mike, was phenomenal! He got there quickly, got to working as soon as he got there, was super friendly, and even managed to get my car into my VERY tight parking space at home. City Wide Towing was very quick in answering the telephone and professional in providing towing services, especially on a Friday afternoon. Another tow company couldn’t reach me for two hours. City Wide estimate time was 30 minutes. Mike (Tow Driver) called and said he was on his way and would be to my location in 10 minutes. I looked up and he arrived in less than 10 minutes. I was absolutely impressed with the professionalism that CityWide has. The starter died in my 2015 Silverado and left me stranded in the Costco parking lot. The dispatcher was very friendly and promptly sent Mike to the rescue. With that said, I have to give a special thank you to Mike for his skillful use of his flatbed truck, to navigate through the crowded parking lot and get my truck up on to the flatbed with no issues. He made loading and unloading my truck look so easy. His hospitality and experience was honestly top notch! I highly recommend this towing company!

100 percent recommend this company. I contacted City Wide in Newport news, yesterday to see about setting up a tow for today that I would be completely unavailable to assist the driver today during the time of the tow. So I needed someone reliable. I setup the tow and got all information exchanged yesterday and just as promised Sonny arrived at the pick up location grabbed my vehicle and towed it to its destination with no issues. I can honestly say that this was the best towing experience I ever had. I’m in sales and drive for a living so I have been towed many times. Unfortunately, I got a flat tire in the construction area if I-64. My company contacted a towing company and I was pleasantly surprised. City Wide arrived promptly. I was shocked. (In the past I have waited up to 2 hours for other tow trucks). City Wide is professional, very organized and a very clean tow truck to ride in. (I have been in some dirty, smelly tow trucks over the years) I highly recommend them and should I need another tow in the Newport News/Hampton area I am asking for them by name.
