Advance Auto parts is an automotive parts store. It is located in Dinwiddie. They sell all kind of car parts, tools, car cleaning supplies, batteries and much more. They also sell windshield wiper blades, sandpaper, Bondo and much more. The prices are very reasonable. The associates are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this advance Auto parts.
It seems as though all of those before me have covered it perfectly. I would highly recommend going there where you feel like you are their most important customer and they don't treat you like an idiot if you don't know anything about vehicles. I know the young man that helped me there today spent over 20 minutes with me (while helping others also) and I felt great with my purchases after I left. Auto parts anywhere near Colonial Heights absolutely go see them across from Publix.
I've said it once. I'll say it again, knowledgeable, respectful, morals, and the employees make you feel comfortable, Danny is the manager he does a great job, and environment where you can joke, laugh, and be serious at the same..

Thank you for communicating. My son bought some brake parts for his truck that turned out to be defective. He brought the truck to a professional mechanic that tried checking for debris in the fluid lines and found none. He then contacted the AutoZone in Chester to swap the calipers out. They were exchanged. The new ones even from the Chester store were having the same problem. The mechanic then went to his normal supplier and obtained the parts from them and the brakes have had no problems since.
We brought a letter to the Colonial Heights store looking to get help with the bill as the parts that were sold to my son were defective. Since bringing the letter there, we have heard from no one... I revisited the Colonial Heights store again leaving a message for the manager to let us know what is going on. Again there has been no response.
My son works hard and missed a day of work plus having the work done professionally is costly. He is out around $1800.00.
Please look up Austin Moncrief in your system for his phone number. We really aren't looking to get over on anyone, I simply would like to see the issue made right.

Came in needing a new battery for a vehicle. Danny changed out the old and replaced it with a brand new one in no time. Friendly and knowledgeable man. It's a pleasure doing business here!
Stopped in for a quick purchase nothing special. Store was clean and employees were helpful, by default I tend to use advance Auto for most of my parts.
Purchased a brand new battery here today. Brayden removed the old one and installed the new one in no time. His customer service skills were great ! I really felt as though he cared about me as a customer and he took the time to set my battery up right and plus it was cold and rainy outside. Got me in and out fast. Great customer service!
Great service and super helpful staff. Their online ordering is very easy. You can make an order and pick it up the same day at your local Advanced Auto Store. Usually the pick up is ready within an hour!
I return a oil filter part and the advance worker got nasty with me he was cussing at me. I was polite very poor customer service. I would like for a general manager to contact me when he or she has free time can a general manager contact me please I need to talk to them.

Went in for parts for my pick up. I was offered help immediately upon entering and only had to wait a short time while the parts were located. The parts were less expensive than at o reillys so that made me happy. Over all a good experience and no complaints.
The young man was so helpful and kind! I tried to get my windshield wipers replaced, before storm/rain came..but, he still replaced them as it began to rain! And was a real lifesaver!! All the employees there are respectful and kind!
I had Braden* (might be misspelled) assist me with a new battery . He checked my old battery and got me hooked up with a new one . His customer service skills were great ! I asked for help with a fuse for my locks in my car. The Caucasian guy working told me they don't do that he explained where the panel was and sarcastically said i can do it myself. I always see other people get help with different parts in the store but he immediately shut me down. I was the only person in store. Shame on you Advance if we don't buy ya parts how do you stay in business? Its is sad that people don't want to help or do the job they were hired to do.
11-28-20 I went to Advance Auto Parts in Colonial Heights next to Burger King and they were absolutely great. I had to get a new battery and getting the old one out was not easy. Danny was wonderful and had great customer service!!! Thank you
Worst ever. We work on cars a lot but today they under priced us over the phone, sold us the wrong part and then tried to charge an additional 40 dollars for the right one. Went to Greyline and they actually know what they are doing. Advanced auto you need people who know cars.
I come here for my parts for my Volvo! They have a really nice staff and for the most part advise you on what you need! Also they can order parts in and it usually doesn't take too long to arrive. I would recommend anyone who wants to get good quality parts to go here.
Bought a new battery from there. About a month later it was dead. Charged it up and went back. Girl at counter very nice and polite. Told her what had happened and for an exchange. No problem with her. The manager and another lady weren't too happy and let me know! I had already checked the charging system and my meter showed all was great except for battery. Told me in a stern voice it was probably the alternator and after this switch not to come back for another one. That's been 2 wks ago and no problem with battery. Kinda got me aggravated with their rudeness!! I will never go there again! I've had my truck since 2004 so I know my truck!!
Needed new wipers, staff was very helpful at finding the right ones for my car and installing them for me! Thank you! I drove past two other advance just to go to the one in Colonial Heights because the employees are very pleasant to work with here.
Great service. Couldn't find the part on the computer so Arron, I believe was his name, took the time to go through the book, old school style, and found the right part. Price was in line with all other places but service was excellent
The staff is well educated.. Just there is this one lady that needs to stop treating people like they are stupid. Her social skills needs to be worked on a bit. Its just the way she talks to people.
No thrill getting car parts and supplies- right? Cars aren't my thing really. I'm a bicycle man. I do own two vehicles however and they need care. Now- if they sold bicycles like Western Auto did.....
The guy Mike took his time draping with an oil filter for a VW. Even used his phone when company gateway blocked him. Always have excellent customer service. Speed perks is a great program. Try it!
