We have used Alta View Car Care four times now and each time has been a very good experience. Their prices for tires were cheaper than Les Schwab and Costco. They’ve also helped us twice (for free) figure out a problem and tell us what to do before it can be fixed. We appreciate their honesty. They are very quick and looking at your vehicle and getting it back to you.

These guys have been awesome! They almost always get us in same day. Most recently I got a check engine code that said I had a small EVAP leak, when I called they told me that the test alone is $170, and it was likely a gas cap and they'd advise trying replacing that first. Sure enough, new gas cap and no more check engine light! Thanks Alta View for offering this as a suggestion rather than taking my $170, just to tell me it's the gas cap.

Went in this morning when my shield under the car was falling down. They completely secured it and showed me exactly what they were doing and why. Very professional and I will return.

I was in such a rush to get my brakes done so I could leave on my road trip and they got me into the shop first thing in the morning. It only took them an hour and a half. They were so kind and respectful as well. I highly recommend for reliable and quick service!!

I was referred to this repair shop by the personnel working at the Grease Monkey up the street. I had a broken driver side adjustable electrical seat that I've been living with for years now. The Honda dealer in Golden Colorado charged me $100 about three years ago to repair it and that repair lasted about one month. It turns out this Honda dealer just tapped the broken switch back together and sent me packing. The Honda dealer here in Sandy told me they'd look at it but their hourly rate was $170. So, I stopped into this repair shop and explained my problem to one of the Alta View techs who took the time to walk out to my car to eye-ball the problem. On the spot he identified the problem as a broken switch. Then he showed me that I could order a replacement switch on Amazon for about $35. He said they would be happy to complete the repair it I wanted them too. He then gave me a quick free tutorial lesson on how to replace the switch myself. I drove off with my expectations fully exceeded and feeling like I have found my trusted go to repair shop for any future issue.

Adore these guys!! Boss man always remembers me and my cars info, even tho I don’t come in often (because they always do such a damn good job). Prices are fair and they will be straight up with me. They just got a generally good vibe that they care and aren’t gonna screw me over.

Nathan is one of the nicest guys to work with when it comes to maintaining your car. My wife and I have used Alta View for over 10 years. Great service and truthful service techs. Great experience.

Very impressed with this shop. We took our jeep in the morning and it was done within 3 hours. They seem like very straightforward and honest people. This will be our new go to mechanic!

Very courteous, knowledgeable and resourceful group of guys there. Presented them with a challenging aftermarket nerf bar installation on an older Honda Pilot and they totally figured out the mounting issue caused by a broken threader in one of the holes. Nerf bars look great and I’m very appreciative of them taking on a job that they could have easily said no and I would have understood. Highly recommend them!

Very happy with the service for my Subaru Crosstrek. They didn't over diagnose and were transparent through the whole process. They did a repair for $1700 that was quoted $2300+ at other shops. Nathan was easy to work with. Will be returning in the future.

I brought my Honda CRV to get diagnosed. They were able to get it diagnosed quickly and new alternator installed same day. Fair price and quality work.

Jeep dealership is over a week and a half out. I needed to replace my water pump immediately. I headed over to Alta View because I’ve been going here for propane. They had everything finished by the early evening. Dealership told me I would also be needing a new radiator hose, which was a lie. The fluids from the water pump were only spaying on the radiator hose…I was told at Alta View. This saved me $300+ alone. Thanks for saving the day; now I can go to Vegas over the 4th of July!

I had a very good experience bringing my car to Kelton and Nathan. I don’t know much about cars but they took the time to explain all of the repairs throughout the process. My car needed two days worth of repairs and I was given a loaner car at no cost-which helped me out immensely. Pricing was very transparent and reasonable. I will definitely be coming back. I was in town briefly on vacation and our car had an alternator problem. The replacement alternator was provided from an auto parts store under warranty and Alta View was able to get me in quickly and swap it out for me quickly before I had to catch my flight later in the day. Very courteous and attentive and kind service. I really appreciated them.

Alta View Complete Car Care was so easy to work with! Kelton genuinely cared about my MINI Cooper's safety and walked me through the best options. I got my repairs done two days after my initial quote and saved $500 based on a quote from the dealership.

Disrespectful, dishonest, and a pretty shady experience. You should be skeptical. Adding something to this review to provide insight after receiving a response from the shop. I held off on providing details.. but let me share. I drove my Jeep 4.5 hours to come to your shop for an inspection. It drove perfectly the entire way and when I left it in your hands it was driving perfectly. 30 minutes later you tell me I failed this inspection, which is fine. What was not fine is my Jeep would not run when I went to leave. The brakes would not work and it would not idle. I went back inside and asked for some assistance and your staff swore up and down they did not tamper with anything mechanically. I asked for some help, because I was at a mechanic shop and your staff said they could do nothing but “I would start with the vacuum system”. I limped my vehicle across the street and hunted through the vacuum system and sure enough a hose had been blatantly removed. I put it back on and the vehicle again ran fine. Someone in your shop did this. I hope it was an innocent mistake and not a blatant move to prove some point to me. Luckily I was fairly mechanically inclined or I would be stranded 5 hours from home because of a mechanic shop. Your staff was rude from the start. They created a problem and that is a fact. Someone in your shop did this yet everyone was so quick to deny responsibility and offered zero assistance. Again, I am not upset you did not pass my vehicle. I am upset because of the dishonest interaction and the failure to provide any assistance to the problem that you created.

Long story short, they were incredibly helpful and were willing to show me exactly what was broken and go over what would be replaced and gave me an estimate. Very kind people and I will be coming back. Full disclosure, I haven’t gotten anything fixed yet but just getting an estimate from them was a good experience. The Volkswagen dealership I bought my car from quoted me 3500 for a repair during an inspection and when I asked what the problem was no one could/would tell me. They only said that the whole shock needed to be replaced. I took it here to Alta View Complete Car Care and they took a very short time, especially when compared to the dealership, to tell me where the problem was and let me look under the car to see it. It was just a broken wire connector and some small non essential part was missing. They gave me what felt like a very reasonable estimate. Unfortunately the simple part from Volkswagen is not priced very fairly but I don’t believe that is any fault of the shop. If I choose to get this repaired it will be here and any future repairs as well.

Super kind and professional team! Excellent service!!! I took my parents car down because I couldn't get the sun vizor to stop making a loud sound when I put the car into reverse. All the dealerships were asking a lot money but these guys attended to my car very quickly and fixed it for free. I really appreciate their kind and honest work. I will be using their service again for sure.

I'm a small business owner in Sandy, so I really want to be able to support other small businesses in the area. But unfortunately Alta View Car Care can't be one of them. I called in advance, and let Alta View know I've got two tires on my vehicle with punctures. I've personally plugged the punctures with rope repair plugs. I wanted the reassurance of tire technician to remove the tire and patch from the inside, more than happy to pay for this service. Alta View couldn't do it same day, no worries, I completely understand, so I schedule the service for Monday. I drop the vehicle off on Monday, make sure the service advisor knows two rear tires have plugs in them, even describe the piece of metal removed from the second of the two tires. Dropped off at 9am, called at 3pm to check. Not looked at yet (no worries, I get it). I was assured they would call back later in the day. I did not receive a call back that day. I called repeatedly Tuesday morning, hoping for an update, maybe even pick up the vehicle on my way to work - no answer. I stop by anyway on my way to work. Service advisor says the technician was NOT ABLE TO FIND THE SLOW LEAK. I didn't report a slow leak. I spoke to two different service advisors ahead of time, let them know two tires had DIY plugs, and I wanted technician installed internal patches. Alta View had my vehicle all day, no call to update, won't answer the phone the next morning, and all you can say is the technician can't find a non-existent slow leak?!?!? Can he find a DIY plug in a tire?!?! Can you call to update a customer?!?!?! It pains me to say this, but the larger tire stores offer equal, maybe better service. I'm stil on the lookout for a local business I can use for automotive repair.

Wow. I love my car very much. I had a black ice incident and my insurance company concluded it was a total loss. They paid out generously, but I didn't want another....Nathan and the staff were my car's third stop after a whole lot of craziness. Nathan identified all the problems as well as determined what wasn't actually a problem. He called me every step of the way to update me, including telling me when my car arrived, and every detail after that. The car is 21 years-old and so many people told me to just get another, but these guys did what I actually wanted and fixed my beloved car. The customer service I have received has been over the top.

I have never had customer service like this anywhere else! My car was giving some codes & not wanting to go faster than 5-10 mph We took the car there on Wednesday, they did the inspection & called me a couple hours later letting me know it needed a new throttle body. The initial quote was just shy of $1400. The part itself was 95% of the cost bc it’s all electrical. We gave the go ahead, & the next day (Thursday) they called saying it was done! (They had to special order the part, from another state) When they called they stated they found the part for a lot cheaper. Most shops would keep the price at the same $1400 ish so they can make a bigger profit, since we already agreed to it, right? Not these guys! We ended up paying just above $900 out the door, which is insane! (Every car is different & pricing, I’m just happy they saved us money!!) My car drives brand new! No lag like it had before the lights even came on, it drives like I first got it! It idles smooth too! I’m beyond ecstatic!! They are also super knowledgeable in European cars! They have all the special fluids they take, as well. I will be recommending everyone to come here! If you’re looking for a shop that is honest, give them a call. I promise you won’t regret it! My dad has had several great experiences with them as well! They don’t bring a whole list out of all these things your car doesn’t need like most places do. & they also don’t overcharge! I worked with Nathanial & Rick They’re both amazing at what they do & they have a customer for life! Thank you guys!

These guys are fantastic, very reasonable pricing and helpful with repairs they have made to my truck. I needed flushes, differentials, and there were some electrical problems that I have been having. Took it into Ford Dealership and they immediately said everything would be about $3300 out the door. Took to these guys and Nathan and Richard are great and said that they don't want to do more repairs than necessary and only needed to do a few things totaling $1300 out the door. Love it when mechanics are reasonable instead of just trying to bill you for everything. Definitely going to them for future needs.

My transmission blew up less than 2 days before I was to move across the country. And on the 4th of July weekend. Richard was amazing at communicating everything with me. My options and what he recommended. I made the decision to have them install a new transmission after they did a detailed check of all major systems. They were able to complete the repairs before I had to leave for my cross country adventure. These guys are seriously awesome.

Alta view tires has been our place we take our vehicles to. They are honest and don’t try to sell you a new car to go under the radiator cap. They do let you know about future things but don’t pressure you to do them now if not needed. Joe came to my rescue when my battery died. I appreciate that so much. I’m glad they had time to spare him to be my hero!! Thank you!! So much! They are busy and for good reason they are good at what they do. 😁

Excellent customer service. These guys are honest and really know their stuff. They always fit us in and do a great job. From oil changes to full engine replacement, we have always been really happy with the work. We've referred a whole bunch of friends and neighbors and every one of them is now a loyal customer. Originally, I took my car to Alta View, by recommendation, for a Bluestar Inspection. Eddie, a true professional, gave me a quick, concise evaluation and incredibly reasonable set of estimates on recommended fixes and concerns for my car. I have been proceeding with the repairs and maintenance, and have been elated with their efficiency and price. It can be so dicey when you search for a new shop, and makes one relieved and comforted when you discover a group you can wholeheartedly trust and depend on to do an excellent job. THESE GUYS MOST CERTAINLY DO!.... TRUST YOUR VEHICLE WITH THEM... I will, always!
