Open and up front, fair market price on parts and labor. A great business. I was taken aback by the honesty during the repair to my car.

Genuinely can’t recommend this place enough. As a woman they’ve helped me so much without ever being condescending. He explains everything and is very clear about pricing and has sometimes even charged less than quoted. He never gives a surprise extra charge or anything like that. Love it!

They are great communicators and do great work at fair market rates. Excellent stuff.

If you want honesty and reasonable prices, this is a definite go-to location. They will not suggest or perform work that is not necessary.

I took my car here before I went on a trip back home (out of state) to make sure everything was okay and I wasn't overlooking any major hidden issues. I walked in the doors as soon as they opened, and I honestly don't think I got to talk to anyone for half an hour to an hour. Finally when I did, he just kind of took my keys and made a half-assed sincere "we'll do our best" remark before I sat down. It was another hour before the mechanic even went out to get my car, which I could clearly see from their tiny, claustrophobic, weird smelling waiting room. I lost track of time after that, just trying to occupy my time with a puzzle game they had sitting out which only had half the pieces. Eventually, the mechanic came in and he was laughing. I didn't think much of it until I heard him (loudly) talking to the guy at the desk behind me about "he already bought that car? Are you sure? Oh man, I wouldn't have bought that car" and continued laughing. The guy at the desk just looked at me and said, "did you hear that, Kyle? We just finished looking at your car and I'll get all the paperwork printed to show you what you need." He printed out multiple papers claiming I needed almost 1k worth of work done in the next month at most or I probably won't have a car.. especially if I take it out of state. They wanted to charge over $300 for a new battery (AAA charged me $180 and installed it.) and tried to tell me the ports on my battery were extremely rusted (they were barely beginning to show a sign of rust) they told me my transmission needed to have its oil changed immediately and needed to be resealed because it was "leaking and burning oil" (my car wasn't due just yet for a transmission flush and it showed no sign of leakage whatsoever) and to top it all off, they told me my car needed to be realigned because it "pulls to the left" which.. no, no it does not. They tried to take advantage of me, because I look like a young stupid kid. People who run their business based on how their customers appear, should not be in business. I'm writing this review almost a year after my visit so I could prove they were just trying to gouge me for money. The only thing they had somewhat-right was my battery, my battery was way past its expiration date and did need to be changed but it didn't fully die on me for another 6 months after this visit. They could have checked my voltage to see how much life it had in it left, but they just looked at the date and tried to charge me double what it actually costs claiming it needed to be changed immediately or my car wouldn't make it a mile down the road. My car made the 1700 mile trip just fine, it made the trip back just fine, it made another trip out of state just fine, and it has had absolutely 0 of the problems they claimed it would. I recently got my transmission flush done and the AAMCO I took it to, said my car runs beautifully for an 11 year old car and it looks well taken care of. I took my car to even check the alignment after my initial visit with The Mechanic Man and the other shop claimed there were no issues with my alignment. This is the kind of shop you would tell your wife and kids to avoid so they don't get taken advantage of. It's been almost an entire year and I still think about how the mechanic came in laughing like my car was the greatest joke of all time so that he could intimidate me into buying a bunch of bullshit I didn't need. Acting like they're trying to help me out of a bind talking about "you should have brought this car in before you bought it so you wouldn't be stuck with it!". I'd had the car for almost 2 years prior to bringing it in so I don't even know why they thought I just bought it other than the fact I looked like I was 16 and not 22.

Scott from Mechanic Man saved my 2002 Prius! The dealership quoted me $3,600, but Scott was able to do it for around $1,000! He is incredibly honest and helpful. I will definitely be recommending him to people in the future.

I would probably trust the Mechanic Man with my life. I don't like going to mechanics in general because I feel like they always try to sell me services I don't need, but Scott will tell you exactly what needs fixing and nothing more. The free parking lot diagnosis is awesome, and the prices are not bad at all! I will use The Mechanic Man for as long as it's open!!

When on a road trip from Canada to Oklahoma our clutch failed in SLC on way out of town. The good folks at The Mechanic Man stayed late to help us out and get the jeep back on the road. Can't say enough good things about them. Check them out.

Honest, very good work 100% satisfied with the service I received Scott and David were very friendly. Told me everything I needed to know would definitely use them again.

They are always able to work me in, kind, considerate and capable. They have even had me drop by after calling with a problem with my vehicle and have been willing to take a look at it on the spot, though I know they were busy. There have been twice where they've been able to fix something small and did not charge. Who does that!?! The best part is that I know I am not being taken advantage of. I was referred to the mechanic man by about three different individuals for that very reason. Many of my family and friends go to them now. Thank you mechanic man!

I typically take very good care of my Nissan Juke, however, due to my chaotic schedule between f/t work and second yr/In a nursing program. My poor car has seen better days, it was by divine intervention & more so timing, I found this shop online. My damage was all done in the midst of my rushed time restraining schedule. I was ignoring the many signs/ symptoms of what happens when you pop multiple curbs at barely legal speed limit. That is until, one early morning (exam day) of course - my car would power on, but the steering option was GONE?! I was late getting a ride… After class, I called and the owner recommended Adam’s Tow Company…Amazing service- and he already knew about my curb hopping- by the damage. I can’t believe how knowledgeable, fair, and professional this man is..I asked if he planned on retiring anytime soon? When he said he had another 10 years…I replied “ Good, you will be my “go-to” mechanic man!!

PLEASE READ: I never leave bad reviews but this will be one of the first. Went into Discount Tire on Monday to work on a Tire/Rim that was under warranty. They admitted that one of the technicians messed up on my tire that I would have to go down to The Mechanic Man in Murray to get it fixed. For an issue that I was told by Discount Tire it would take 1 hour, ended up taking nearly 4 hours. I then go to drive my car again after The Mechanic Man said it was all fixed, and see multiple sensors pop up on my vehicle. Come to find out they messed up on my car AGAIN and I would have to drive back down another 30 minutes in the morning to get the car fixed. They then spend an additional 2-3 hours to fix that issue. In total I was there for 8 hours over 2 business days on an issue that was expected to only take 1 hour. Never did they apologize. Besides repairing it for free no additional compensation or credit was offered. I spent multiple hours on their mess up and as a result, lost thousands of dollars within my own business. I don’t recommend them to anyone.

I was very happy with the Mechanic Man's service and performance. The prices seemed fair and they were good at keeping me updated on the progress. Also super friendly and the business has a great family feel. I would recommend them to anyone in the area!

I highly recommend this shop. Every time I've needed service, they have got me right in, done an excellent job and at a reasonable price. They even helped me out with a back seat I couldnt get reinstalled after I put a new seat cover on it. It's always a pleasure doing business with them.

Scott, the owner (manager) is a really fair and honest man. I’ve been there 3X there now with two different cars and the repairs were made quickly and affordable. Today I crabbed a handful of business cards to hand out to my friends. I highly recommend his business! Thank you Scott!!

Scott ( the owner) is awesome. The service is quick and done well. He does not try to upsell you, on anything. He tells you what could be fixed, the price for it, and his honest opinion as to if you should do it or not. I will only take my vehicles to him from this day forward.

Tried having them work on my car twice. The first time they were aligning my tires and said they needed to remove bolts from my axle in order to align my car after doing a partial job. I paid the full price of a tire alignment and the. Went somewhere else the next day to get my car aligned because the pull of the car was never resolved and it was taken care of quickly without removing parts. The next time I tried getting a head light replaced and I did a poor job explaining what I wanted and the staff were very rude and impatient with me. They also expected me to pay a lot of money for this simple task of swapping the bulb out. Both times I felt very belittled and taken advantage of and expected to pay a lot of money for incomplete work. The staff was snobbish and I tried to give them a second chance but it only made it worse.

I had an unfortunate experience getting my breaks done here. Engine cover and air intake were left unsecured after work was performed. Had to return to the shop to get clips to re-secure the parts. Honest mistake but sloppy nonetheless. Owner seems like a nice guy but absolutely refused to refund any labor performed and inconvenience caused. Difference of opinion I suppose. Although the break rotors and pads were replaced, the car breaks unevenly to the passenger side and I will not be servicing my car here again. Edit: I had to get the break job The Mechanic Man performed fixed at another shop because it was done improperly. I'm livid because I basically wasted ~$400 and a lot of time. These guys give mechanics a bad reputation so please DO NOT support their business.

These guys are honest, affordable, answer every phone call and come highly recommended. I was referred to them by Discount Tire when my tires burst and control arms or rod-somethings broke on my Tesla when I scraped a curb bump-out in my neighborhood. The tow company dropped it off to Scott and his team and they communicated with me the whole time. I’d never been there prior but from the looks of the building from Google reviews, the neighborhood is actually really nice which is why I took a pic of the fire station across the street.

Scott and his techs were great. I haven't had heat in my truck for 3 years because dealership wanted $1,800 to fix it. Scott and his guys got it done in a couple days for less than $800. It was a huge job and they did great. Also fixed a few other issues I had with my dash buttons not working. He called me throughout the process with updates. Its nice knowing there are mechanics locally that you can trust.

It was about 5:20 and my window had gotten stuck down. Its the middle of December and I didn't have anywhere super secure to park. They gave me a quote over the phone for what it sounded like but said to come down and they'd check it out before they closed. Turns out a piece of rubber had gotten caught up and was preventing the window from being raised. He pulled it out with a pick and wouldn't accept any money since it was so easy and quick. I'll definitely be returning for anything else my car needs, these guys are great!

Brought my car in for a coolant leak, haven't seen any issues weeks later, as well as my fans weren't kicking on, they diag'd it down to my AC fan switch but try after try couldn't figure it out which I blame the car on for the most part. These guys are excellent at keeping communication between the shop and customer, they provide in detail everything that's been done. I'd recommend them. They also replaced my relay box for no extra cost

I am very happy to have been a customer at this business. Scott is great to have as a help to you with your car. The hours are great (8-6) and I appreciate the help I received with the spoiler on the front of the car I took there to get checked. The alignment done on a previous car of mine was done very well! Keep up the great work!

One of my sons hit a patch of ice and Hit the curb hard with his tire and rim. I knew it was out of alignment. Went to Pep Boys, and they said there was over $600 worth of work that needed to be done. When I got The new rim for the car at discount tires, they recommended the mechanic man. I took it in to them, all it needed was an alignment. Because they were so honest, I will now go back to them for service and repair.

A shop that has guys of great integrity! Honest, thorough, quick with great work at a very fair price! Wiling to give you options based on their experience and wisdom which is priceless!

I have been associated with Mechanic Man for several years. They are very honest and forthright with their work. They tell you those things you should do to your vehicle but don't force the issue. We have been away for several years, but are so glad to be back to the integrity of their work. This trip was engine mounts, axel, and ball joint. I knew they were in need of repair before I went because the dealer told me so, but Scott saved me a lot of money doing these repairs.

Felt like family. I had never been to this shop before and was sent by discount tire due to their mess up on my new truck. Scott was kind and explained the process every step of the way, he made sure I felt safe driving home even with parts having to be ordered. He was quick in his timeline and stuck to scheduled appointments, and overall felt honest. When everything was said and done I received a bag of cookies and a Christmas card! Like WHAT? Who does that? Haven’t felt more appreciated as a customer in my life. I will always be back to Scott for any future vehicle needs.

Came in expecting a quick and easy tire alignment left with a quote for 1300 Dollars because I had to have my “ball joint replaced”. Went somewhere else and had the alignment done with the mechanic telling me nothing is wrong with my ball joint. I think this place is slimy and I WOULD NOT SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE. Not only wasting my time but taking 20 dollars from me to try and take 1300 from me left me angry to say the least. After I left the shop my check engine light was on so I had to drive back to have them clear it still not knowing why it was on once I got my car back in the first place. Terrible experience and slimy business indeed.

I called up TMM to ask about an alignment after being referred by Discount Tires. They provided a very competitive price and were able to see me in 2 hours, which was nice to hear. I got there a little early, but they started on my car right away. After 30 minutes, (I believe his name was) Steve took me aside and told me my car was already aligned about as good as possible, with a slight drag on my steering wheel being from a seized section of my real axle and perhaps a control arm in front. I wasn't charged for the alignment, only a $20 setup fee to put it in the garage and basically diagnose. Couldn't be much happier with the experience. I'm not a car person, but things were explained to me in a layman's terms and Steve was very personable. I could have easily been charged the full amount, but got a deal without even asking. Decent location, cool little small-town shop vibe on the inside in the waiting room. A-A+ experience. Thanks, guys.

We took our car in for a second opinion and repair today and they were very honest. The mechanic showed us a variety of things that can be repaired and told us which ones were high priority and which ones weren’t. I appreciated this because it helps us make decisions that help our car and our budget. It is wonderful to find a mechanic who you can trust.
