Let's just say this is the 2nd time I have ever took my car to a shop. I was skeptical cause I have worked at some shops that was shady. But I took a chance on Murray auto. I can say I will deal with them again. They was so kind and understanding. They help my wife out more then I can repay back. On there kindness. You have received a forever customer. Thank you all for your hard work and kindness. There needs to more shops and people like you all

These guys saved the day, and I couldn’t recommend them enough! My wife and I were pretty distraught when we came in, and Cesar and Ty were so kind, helpful, and sympathetic to our situation.

We had just driven in from out of town to buy a used SUV from a private seller. We thought we had done our homework, but shortly after leaving, the car started having major issues (classic, I know). We were devastated because this was supposed to be our first family car, and we needed something reliable for our growing family after welcoming our baby girl this year. Instead, we were stranded hours from home, out thousands of dollars, and feeling completely overwhelmed.

By that evening, every mechanic shop was closed except Murray Auto Repair. We had the car towed there, but the towing company accidentally dropped it off at the wrong location and took forever to get it to the shop. Even though the car finally arrived right before closing, Cesar reassured us they would take care of us and do everything they could to get us safely back on the road.

The next day, they diagnosed a ruptured oil cooling line, which could have destroyed the engine if it hadn’t been caught quickly. They gave us a fair price, which was a huge relief as college parents already stretched thin from buying the car and paying for the tow.

Cesar personally oversaw the final inspections, and the SUV has run great ever since. Cesar, thank you for treating us like family when we really needed it. Ty, best wishes to you and your growing family as well!

I was soooo stressed when I had to get my car towed here, but they were able to quickly diagnose my issue and get things fixed same day! Loved everything about my experience here - Cesar was honest, communicative, reassuring, and professional. I hope I don’t have too many future car issues, but if I do, I’ll be back here for sure!

I came in to Murray Auto for a full diagnostic check a few weeks ago, and Ceasar and his team were wonderful :) I know close to nothing about cars but when I asked questions they explained everything clearly and so that I could understand. they provided me options and reasons and a thorough explanation as to why the repair was needed. I have no doubt that Ceasar and his team are honest people who do honest work, and if i ever need a car repair, i will likely come here.

They had me in and out during their busiest forecasted hours within 30 minutes, diagnosing car battery and replacing it all within that time, had flexible payment options, and got a 3 year warranty. They were also very kind and polite. Great service!

We needed a simple brake lights replaced! We came here for a second opinion after going to Jiffy Lube - where we were told that our wiring had issues (that sounded like a lazy diagnosis.) But gentlemen here checked and replaced lights within 15 mins! We love the service! Thank you!

This place is amazing. My car has a bad turbocharger and they spent about an hour troubleshooting the problem. Yeiber was very helpful and friendly. They didn’t charge me for the time they spent looking into it and the quote they gave me is very reasonable. I will be bringing my car back to have them do the repair

Ty is amazing!! He will make sure you're taken care of and happy under any circumstances. VERY fair pricing and outstanding customer service. I was left feelin I had a brand new vehicle. I cannot thank Ty and Ceasar enough. I definitely would trust them with my car again

My car went berserk at the grocery store. A woman in the parking lot recommended Murray Auto Repair and after a quick welcoming phone call to Ty on a Saturday I had my car towed to them ASAP. Repair estimate was ready and accepted that day and I had my wheels back the next day (Easter Sunday!). Cesar was/is kind and friendly and welcomed me at the shop on Sunday with the rest of his crew with similar sentiment knocking out a number of projects. The only downside was the death of the alternator but it didn’t feel so painful with their quality customer service and attention to my auto’s needs. Highly recommend this shop! Thank you for some reliability!

I came off the road heading toward Kansas with a bad wheel bearing and called Murray’s automotive. They were very helpful. Got me in immediately and are getting me right back on the road. Five star isn’t enough very grateful to their staff and the company. Highly recommend. couldn’t be more happy with the service that I received today. I’ve never received service like this before from any automotive repair facility. I highly highly highly recommend Them. They went beyond the call of duty.

Ty and the team are amazing. My alternator went out on the freeway and I was completely freaking out. Ended up in a Chevron parking lot and they were close enough by that my homegirl could jump me a couple times to make it.

It was already like after 9pm by the time I got there and they close at 10pm but they said they could do some tests to confirm the alternator in 5min.

So, when this all happened I was still working and I needed to go fix my bosses computer before tomorrow afternoon because payroll stuff.

Ty and them said yeah go do that and we'll call you. They didnt take long at all and I was still working on my bosses computer in T-ville. I knew they were already closed so I was hurrying but I was like 30-40min out.

This man went above and beyond in multiple ways. One was by staying late when I know these dudes needed to go home. I got my car at like 10:45pm. I use my car for work so idk I just got really lucky that I ended up by these guys when this all happened today.

No one can say shit about my Murray Auto Repair boys now. The labor costs are extremely fair and they didnt tack on any weird random stuff because Im a chick like some places would.

Anytime my car is being weird I'm just going to go over there now.

Also they were jamming to West Coast hip hop jams so I knew they were the real right away.

$4K for 2 failed attempts & major headaches

Caesar's 1ST ATTEMPT (Failing clear coat pics):
I had a scratch & hole that stretched across 3 panels. I asked on a Sunday if Caesar could do the job by Thursday as I was moving out of town Friday. He said yes.

I pick the car up Thursday, it looks good at the time. I'm thrilled.

2 days later I realize the window will not roll down. I say screw it & get it fixed myself.

3 months later the clear coat fails. I leave a review. Caesar reaches out & wants to fix it himself--problem is I am in another state. I get 4 quotes ranging from $3.2k-$5k to redo the job. All claim the job was done incorrectly: Caesar cut corners & did not remove the trim. They also point out outgassing from the bondo underneath the paint as there was bubbling (close up pic).

I mention that I will be royally pissed if I take the car across state lines, adding 1100 miles for the trip only for it to be done wrong again.
Caesar offered to fix a dent on the trunk door & agrees to cover a hotel (I ended up covering my own lodging btw--work issue came up & I needed fast internet, didn't request him reimburse any of the lodging) & rental car to entice me. I decided to give him a second chance. There's some dishonesty that was self-serving rather than Caesar simply taking responsibility, including but not limited to "it's not even a $1k repair." But because he showed interest in making things right I remove the review.

Caesar's 2ND ATTEMPT (Paint mismatch pics. Repainted 3 panels: driver, passenger, & fuel gauge panels):
He redid the entire "$4k" job when I went back to Utah... what happened to "not even a $1k repair?" It was supposed to take 4 days (that is how long he covered the rental car for--I did not request him pay for an extension even though it was inconvenient for me) but it ended up taking 10 days.
When I arrive in the evening, it was in the shade. He fixed the clear coat issue. Dent in back fixed. Looks good.

I drive into the sunlight it sticks out like a sore thumb (see pics). Not only does the paint not match, there are imperfections in the paint, there is overspray of clear coat on the window panels, the trim on passenger door was loose, & there is damage on the inside of the door nor was it painted properly.

I reach out the next morning with pics & he portrays them as no big deal and he portrays the job as the paint's fault... & when I then make the point that he wouldn't like the pics on Google so why should I have to accept it after I paid & majorly inconvenienced myself (I did not say paint it or else you get a bad review, I just made the point I should not have to accept it when he wouldn't like it put on display), he responds with "you are blackmailing me."  Mind you, the car should have never made it out the bay & have been considered by Caesar as "ready/ satisfactory for customer." Where's the quality control?

He eventually agrees he should redo it but cannot until late may (this took place in early March).

GOING TO HIGGINS:
As a result, I take it to Higgins. They paint 4 panels to blend the paint properly, turn it around quick, & it looks great. They are communicative the entire way through.

I give Caesar a 3rd chance. This time to take responsibility for the cost of Higgins ($2.5k, mind you, not what he charged me $4k). He says I'm blackmailing him again. He reaches back out & says he'll cover 50% of the cost of Higgins' work.

Throughout the process he gave a variety of excuses & attempted guilt trips (I will post texts dependent on his response) from his anniversary, it was the paint, timeline, etc.. His attitude is that him being responsible for his work is an inconvenience to him so I should just accept whatever comes out. That is the part that I find most unacceptable about dealing with Caesar. I gave him a 2nd chance & did EVERYTHING on his terms for him to fail a 2nd time at additional cost to me.

When the owner of a company portrays this as acceptable work & dodges responsibility while trying to manipulate you into accepting work, I consider that reason to avoid.

Honestly I'm not going to lie I was super nervous because of my prior machanic treating me the same way. These men went above and beyond for me and my son. They we respect, they care about what the do, they were understanding and are the real deal. Word cannot describe how grateful I am. So thank you all for the amazing work and the good people you are.

Had this guy work on an 07 Pontiac grand prix gt. When I gave him the car to work on, I told him to get a full diagnostic, and let me know how much it would cost to fix everything. I wanted to know so I knew whether the car was worth keeping, or selling. He came back with a list, and the price tag was $3200. I told him to go ahead and do the work. After I got the car back, he didn't even check or change the oil. 3 days later the car started overheating, and leaking coolant. Turned out the car needed a new radiator, mechanic was cool enough to fix the radiator free of charge. That would've been nice, had the car not completely stopped running a week later. After having the car parted out to help a friend get his Pontiac running, we found the oil was sludged. He was doing work directly in the engine, replacing valves and valve cover. Also a chain timing kit. How does a mechanic not see engine grime and sludge working INSIDE the engine. I brought this up to the mechanic, and he immediately got defensive, and had zero accountability. Paid $3200 for shotty work, and a job not well done. Could've saved all of us headache, by being thorough. Instead he took shortcuts, and it showed by the car not even running in under a month from a $3200 bill. I wouldn't recommend this place.

My van wouldn’t start and after a jump the check engine light was on and it was stuck going only 10mph on a Saturday evening. I called around and no one could get me in. Then I called Murray Auto Repair and a guy told me he was open till 9:30pm and I could bring it in and he would look at it free of charge (others who couldn’t see me til Monday wanted $150 just to diagnose). It took me a bit to get there and I was worried when I saw how many cars were there that I would be there all night. Tyrell finished helping someone else and then made room for me to pull in. He was kind, knowledgeable/ confident he could fix it. Used a bunch of tools, replaced a fuse, cleared my codes and said I was good to go! When I asked how much I owed he said just a review. I was elated! Tyrell and his shop gets 5 stars in my book! He could’ve easily charged me a couple hundred dollars and I would’ve had to pay it. I’m a single mom of 4, but he didn’t know that- he was seriously a blessing! I 100% recommend him!

I was dealing with a death wobble on my Jeep and felt completely overwhelmed — but Jesus and Jose made it easy. They were honest, clear, and very knowledgeable, explaining the problem without unnecessary work. Trustworthy and friendly, they got me back on the road safely and stress-free. Highly recommend!

I sadly did not have the best time at this repair shop... I worked with Ty and at first, he was very nice and helpful. To give context, I was buying a new car, and I appreciated how he made time to help me out with the pre-purchase inspection. I came back to him of course to do further repairs because I felt he was trustworthy. I sadly am regretting it because I believe I overpaid quite a bit for the service. At first, I thought it was a transmission drain and fill with a new filter, so the price was around where I expected it. Where I was not happy was when we agreed on a specific fluid type and when it was not being available, he went and grabbed a different fluid without consulting me first. It was a more "universal" transmission fluid... The other issue I had was I initially thought it was a transmission mount that needed to be replaced which is annoying because you have to move a lot of parts so an hour and a half of labor made sense to me. Where my issue came was when he did not clarify which part was being replaced, he couldn't even tell me the name of the part or what part he was referring to confidently. He kept going back and forth on which part he changed, and I had to call multiple times to clarify it... Overall, I did not feel like he really knew what he was talking about... I had paid before it began which should have been the red flag for me. The part he replaced should have truthfully only been a half hour of labor because it is just two bolts... At the end of the service, I simply asked to see the part he changed, and he refused to let me see it. I would say if you went through with him be very clear about what parts are being serviced so you don't pay extra for no real reason. Don't pay until you know exactly what he means and tells you exactly what he is doing. That is if you choose to do business with him...

Ty and Jesus are the absolute best! Everyone working here is the kindest most honest mechanic you'll meet. I've been offered a fair upfront price of repair every time without having to wait long for that estimate. I've now been here for 2 different semi major repairs and both times they finished the work and had my car back to me within less than 24 hours.

I drive an hour from my home to Murray to get repairs here because they're easily the best in the business. They care a lot about their customers and even greeted me by name when I pulled up months after my last repair here.

They're likely to remain my forever favorite mechanic shop to have work done big or small.

I was very pleased with my treatment during my car repair. They took the time to show me what the problem was and had a straight forward contract written up that they let me read and decide what I wanted to do without any extra pressure. They've definitely gained me as a loyal customer.

Worked with Caesar for a prompt repair that got me back on the road after running over a curb. He was fair in pricing, very knowledgeable, and hard‑working despite the tricky circumstances with my fender and flare. I needed my car back quickly, and he was able to make it safe and drivable within 2 work days, with the bumper looking good as new. I’ll be stopping back in next week to finish the remaining repair (skid plate). Appreciate the text communication and will recommend to friends and family.

Caesar is very fair and honest, and always seems to be able to fit you in even though their lot is always packed. They are open late which is wonderful! They can fix anything car-related, you name it, they can do it. They get the part ordered the same day and you’re back on the road. We will continue to bring all our vehicles to Murray Auto Repair!

The skid plate of my undercarriage got knocked loose on I-15 so I went to the closest mechanic which just so happened to be Murray Auto Repair. They were so honest and helpful towards me(who knows little to nothing and is from out of town).They easily found the part I needed and replaced it for me. This all took a little over an hour. The price was also very reasonable as well. They have my thanks!

I got a flat tire, from hitting a pot hole. I called this shop because they were open and they came to where my car was, simply to help me get my tire off and replace it for my spare. I had a locking lug nut, they saved my day! They did not have to come out and they did! They were the best will definitely send business their way.

I was heading to Reno and suddenly realized my rent a car had the sounds of metal on metal brakes. It was already 845pm so I called around and Cesar answered my call and got my rotors and brake pads swapped out and ready to go in just over an hour. If you're in the Salt Lake area call him!

I am really excited to share my experience About Murray auto repair. On a Saturday evening on my way home from work I noticed my car was making a clunking noise and keep in mind my My jeep has only 35,000 miles and I’ve had a lot of work done by Les Schwab which was struts and what I thought was the sway bars linkage but either they lied or used very bad parts Well Les Schwab never informed me that my lower control arm bushings were going out as well as a bad cv axel and that they only did the linkage on the sway bars which had to be a lie because they were completely failing causing a popping sound.I always thought that the roads in Utah were really bad, but it turns out that the bushings on my lower control arms were bad
next to being completely destroyed. I found Murray auto repair late Saturday night because they were the only ones open. I called them right before closing and they Were more than willing to look at my car. They quickly diagnosed the issue as being my lower control arms and sway bars, Murray auto repair offered to do the work that night even though they were about to close.I explained to them that I would need to come back tomorrow, but was worried that they wouldn’t be able to do it and they assured me that they would be open Sunday And they would be able to do the work. I returned first thing Sunday morning with some donuts for the guys. They were very appreciative. Murray auto repair began working on my car right at 9 AM and continued to work on my car until it was finished And I know this because I waited in the lobby the entire time. They took the time to inform me and show me physically everything Les Schwab had done wrong. They let me know that one of my CV axles were going out and they offered to replace it And I accepted the additional repair. Murray auto repair also informed me that the sway bars linkage were in fact not replaced prior to my visit with them and that the other guys either lied or used very generic parts that have already failed in just a few months.They stated that I do need to replace one of the sway bars links however it would be best to do both and I opted to go ahead and have them replace both Along with both of the lower control arms. Everything was done on a Sunday in one day and now this car drives so smoothly. It literally feels like a brand new vehicle. Murray auto repair is so Legit. They did a lot of work same day in a pinch and that is good service if you ask me. They also did three hours of additional labor and didn’t charge me the full cost. As far as I’m concerned they earned my business going forward. They can get it done without a doubt. The people that have given bad reviews about this place Are definitely wrong because these gentlemen physically show you what is wrong with your car And they leave the decision up to you whether or not you want to fix it. Yes, I went in there for a noise that was diagnosed as the control arm and the sway bars, but they found the other issues and didn’t say it had to be done or try to act forcefully in any way .They were kind and only made the suggestion that it should be done but completely left it up to me and I chose to go ahead and get it done and not only did they perform the work but they did it beautifully all in one day. The work was expensive, but it wasn’t outrageous or over the top expensive. Good quality work is going to have a cost. I’m glad I found Murray Auto Repair. The photos I’ve added are post work and you can see for yourself all the new parts that were done in one day! No leaving and picking it up days later, no excuses, just solid work.
