So my wife chose this place based on reviews. Dropped her vehicle off to get an estimate for a non essential vehicle repair. Dropped off at 930 am, next day at 230 pm got the estimate. While the estimate was higher than the dealership, the fact that they charged us $200 for the estimate was confusing. They never mentioned a service charge for the estimate. If they had we should have, had the option not to agree and not get the estimate. We complained when we picked up the vehicle enough that they gave us our car at no cost. So I appreciate their customer service, but just know, if you drop your vehicle off for an estimate, find out in writing what that may cost. I understand they might need to have their mechanic do work to diagnose a problem, just let me know that in advance so I know I may be required to pay for it.

Great work. My only concern was that I made the appointment the day prior and you did not have an oil filter in hand. Therefore it took a little longer than normal. Again, great work

Not capable of being honest and doing an oil change, sprinter 2005 needs 10 quarts, they put 12 ans i got a « HI », which mean oil level high. I had to call them 2 times in order to have them spend some time to look at it and they ended up removing some oil and then no HI. They never offered me a discount or anything. The pictures speak for themselves…

This is a most professional and friendly and caring staff. The service was excellent and upfront with pricing. They even provided a free estimate. The company is outstanding! This was not a simple battery replacement but all the bells and whistles with computer alignment for a Benz.

Horizon Auto center is great! Been here multiple times. This is my go to place for sure. Everyone is great! Devin (manager) is awesome! Customer service is excellent. Won’t take my truck anywhere else.

We were int Dallas to pu a classic car. Water pump went out at 330 pm on Friday. They were able to get us in and back on the road by 530pm. Great shop that saved the day!! We were able to get back to kansas that night!! Can't say enough positive thing about this shop and there team!!

You will not find a better Auto Center anywhere in Texas. Devin and his team care about each customer and do everything in their power to make sure you feel that way. They hold themselves to a high standard and you can see that in each employee that works at Horizon.

Great service and very clean waiting room. Came in for an oil change appointment and added on their full travel ready inspection on my 2007 Toyota Highlander. Devin helped me take care of additional maintenance needs to keep my Highlander running well and safe to drive for me and my wife. They provide an easy-to-read, comprehensive report of identified maintenance needs, with included estimates for each item and service. Horizon Auto Center is the best auto shop in Rockwall, TX!

After having issues the dealership claimed to be unable to find after 5hrs off diagnostics the guys at Horizon found it rather quickly and were able to help set up a plan in place. Their prices are not only great but they go above and beyond to work and any circumstances you may have. If I ever have an issue with my car or my family’s cars this is the only place I will be taking it to. They are trustworthy, honest, and they are truly there to fix your car and help, not just squeeze money from you. If you have an issue with your car this is the place you can trust.

Outstanding service with a smile! I’ve been to Horizon Auto twice, the first time for a fairly major repair and this time for an oil change. Both times the staff kept me in the loop as the service was being done and right through completion. Great service at a very fair price!

Excellent experience at Horizon Auto Center! I brought my car in for damage repair and was impressed by how friendly and professional the entire team was. They completed the work much faster than I expected without compromising on quality. It’s rare to find an auto shop that combines great customer service with efficient work. I highly recommend Horizon Auto Center and will definitely be back for future repairs!

Horizon did a great job with my Mercedes-Benz ML350. John was so kind to shuttle me into town and picked me up to take me back to the shop. When my car was ready, Devin answered every question I had. The service team is very thorough and they even sent a complete report with photos of everything recommended and required pertaining to maintenance on my vehicle. I had a great experience and I will definitely return.

I brought my 2017 Mini Countryman here for a full synthetic oil change and was charged $162, which shocked me. I’ve generally paid around $120 and have always gone to family-owned shops. While sorting my mail later, I found a flyer from the same shop advertising $79.95 for European cars, full synthetic — the exact service I received. When I called to ask about it, Devin couldn’t give a clear answer and blamed it on “oil type.” I’ve bought oil for my car before, so that didn’t sound right. After checking with a parts store, I confirmed my oil isn’t any more expensive than standard synthetic, so that explanation didn’t make sense. The oil change itself seems fine, although they used 0W-30 despite my engine clearly being labeled for 0W-20. Maybe the promotional price would have applied to the correct oil type? Between the inflated price and the questionable information, I won’t be returning.

Incredible and helpful team! The manager is such an honest man — he truly listened to my concerns and went above and beyond. He fixed the drain pan on my 2022 Toyota Highlander and even changed my oil at no cost. I really appreciate their honesty and outstanding service. From now on, I’ll always be taking my car to Horizon Auto Care. Highly recommend their service to everyone!

So happy with this place! Gotta admit that I was hesitant using a shop because they’re in close proximity to where I live instead of a facility with a known BMW M pedigree. My favorite car, 2002 BMW Z3M coupe. Only 678 produced. Anyway, I had been told by experts that it was likely a VANOS issue, costly fix. The mechanic at Horizon properly troubleshot it to a fuel system issue. Fixed and returned my toy, it’s so fun now! Thanks, guys!

I recently had my truck upgraded at Horizon Auto Center with a 3 ½-inch lift, running boards, and new tires. Aric and Devin helped me pick out the tires and running boards that would look best on my truck, and Adam did an excellent job installing everything. It looks amazing! All the staff were very friendly, and I’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

After a not so great experience at a Jeep dealership, I took my car to get a diagnostic to alleviate my concerns for the issues i felt weren't resolved. Devin & the mechanics were excellent at communicating & receptive to all my concerns. After having much of the recommended maintenance completed I can feel the difference. Not only is the engine more responsive and efficient but I have peace of mind that the car is safe & sound for my family to enjoy.

Horizon Auto Center has been amazing to my mother and I for the past 15 years. Devin, Eric, Dallas, B, and John have all gone above and beyond, especially with my truck that seems to always be in the shop. They treat you like family and truly take care of you. It’s a great, welcoming environment, and we’ve always felt confident and comfortable bringing our vehicles here. Highly recommend!

Horizon helped me choose the bumper and accessories I was looking for. They made suggestions on what other alternatives were available and did the job on time. They sent me pictures of progress updates regularly and did exactly what they were supposed to do. Very happy with their service.

My struts gave out while I was driving. I actually believe it starting while in the parking garage going up to the 5th floor because as I turned up on level 2 & 4 I heard two loud snaps which I thought were pops, maybe like running over a cardboard box or something. I did not think anything of it. I left out later that day, got on the highway for less than a mile before I got off the exit. Once I got to the light and made a left turn eventually I heard a snap again but this time there was a difference because the car was driving funny so I did not really drive too fast any longer. Luckily I did not have to make any turns. I was able to get to the gas station and at this rate I was going maybe 5 miles an hour because I didn’t want to damage anything and I also didn’t want to be on the side of the road. So I get to the gas station, I could not turn my wheel left at all so I stayed at the pump. I called the tow truck they came to pick it up and he knew he could not turn the wheel. He was able to load my baby up safe and sound again with NO damage. He takes it to drop off at Horizon Auto Center and this is where the lies start. The tow driver who was excellent, stated the guys at the shop advised for him to drop my car in the back (that would be the empty space you see on the grass) the manager stated that it’s not protocol but he can’t hold his employees liable for anything after 6:00pm because they are off the clock (Yes he actually said that) He then stated because my suspension broke that my car should have never been placed where HIS employees told the tow truck driver to place it and that is where the damage to my car could have potentially happened. He then change the story and stated the damage could have happened because “I HIT A CURB HARD”. So you are telling me that because the tow truck driver placed my car on the grass where YOUR employees advised him to that it was enough force to make my fender purtrude outward as if someone pulled on it or better yet turned my wheel when you knew you should not have? And after looking at the camera he says, “well I see that there is no damage on your car when the tow brought it in but I don’t have a picture when he left and I can’t zoom in to see anything after that”. Basically the manager, is saying, “you hit the curb and left the damage on the side of the road. The damage called us and we gave them our address to be here in time to take the pictures for the estimate. CLEARLY I DID NOT DAMAGE MY CAR and neither did the Tow Company. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY.

(As of 7/19, Problem never resolved and $3500 spent.) your title should not be REPAIR shop. It should be PAWN. You had my vehicle for nine days. (Update 7/23) - a reply to your nasty, ill advised and utterly gross EXCUSES given since I dropped this off on 7/11- Visa and Frost Bank have started their own process since you've disregarded my direct approach via your portal and personally messaged you on a social platform because that was fair and that is what social networking was designed for. I guess you took this route because you weren't fact checking and listening to any of the recordings within your database. My trip back to San Antonio, after receiving the THIRD confirmation from your staff on three separate days that my vehicle was ready. Friday, 7/19 - the FINAL day and 11.5 hr drive was not enjoyable. Especially after I noticed the rear AC was blowing warm, 38 MINUTES AFTER LEAVING YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS. Not to mention an AC that's only running 90% - 44 degrees, not 40. Not even in the green at that temp. And no, I wasn't about to turn around and have your staff belittle the situation any longer. ESPECIALLY after words given by Dennis, after my bill started at $1900, jumping to $2400, then finally, Dennis - "do you want to know your total?" Me - "sure..." Dennis, "ohhh..., you sound so defeated" - well sir, I f'n was. $3500 for repairs that WERE NOT REPAIRED. Keep reading, it gets good. YOUR MANAGERS words, Devin - "it's a 30 year old vehicle, what else do you want" - "You're welcome to come back" - "You're under a 3 year warranty, take it to any Napa authorized" yada yada... is NOT something somebody wants to hear after three separate text messages and/or phone calls (ALL THREE DIFFERENT DAYS WITHIN ONE WEEK SPAN) stating - "your vehicle is ready to be picked up" - PAWN SHOP Pawn us off on someone else. Cool, guy. The first week into this, we lodged for a few nights - $425 because Dennis suggested "we'd be doing our best to get y'all back on the road on Saturday - 7/13 - understood that could not happen because of a part coming from San Antonio of all places. $550 IN RENTAL charges up to this point. Head home Saturday because your people can't even call to tell me the part that was coming from SA, arrived - like it says in text. We had to show up and I physically took that hose outside to line up because time and money already spent and now a rental car and A WEDDING we were on the way to, but couldn't attend because your people couldn't just be honest and say hey, we actually don't know when we are able to touch your vehicle. It's busy season and we've got a lot in front of you. Maybe short staffed, maybe something other than, we'll try and get you out and on the road and to that wedding. Maybe suggesting other options because your staff is unclear, but let's see if we can get you in something like a rental, because we're going to be dealing with a 3yr warranty anyhow. Nothing of the sorts. Monday 7/15. Your vehicle is ready. I'm so thankful I didn't leave then. Thursday 7/18. Your vehicle is ready. Psych. Friday 7/19. Your vehicle is ready. Come on up, waste an entire day of work and drive another 5.5 hours home. Get off it, guy. San Antonio, TX - Where the mechanic I took this to 1.5 months ago. Someone who is taking accountability. - knowingly installed a remanufactured AC compressor, after I stated, I do not want that. - a misunderstanding that he's taking part in. At least he has been honest with me. His words are still valid and honorable. You have yet to take any accountability for your words, your staffs words/actions and trying to make yourself look good in the eyes of Google reviews. I tried to confront this with care. I reached out elsewhere, twice. You've chosen to disregard those messages, or even give me a simple phone call, but give some distasteful reply to something you CLEARLY didn't look into. You record your staff's conversation with customers. Review yourself. J.
