This is the second time I've called chub's with an amazing experience. Both times they came out to tow my truck, and the tech was able to troubleshoot the issue on the spot and get me back on the road with no charge. I will call them every time I need towing.
Not very dependable. Had an appointment time on two different days and each time 30 minutes would go by past appointment time and still no one showed up or even called.
I recommend you know the laws and regulations. The ladies that answer the phone have no idea what they are asking for. They are asking for things the “Vehicle Storage Facility” should not be asking for. And they will be rude and hang up in your face then try to play it off like it was an accident after getting their coworker to take the call.
The girl at the front desk was very professional and nice, explain everything. And the guy that delivered my car was very professional at his job, will definitely recommend this company to all
two important things for me (1. is that the tow tech was a great guy who did everything he could to try getting my semi truck running again before he had to initiate the tow, he did all he could within a respectable time frame before traffic would be held up any longer (2. it is necessary to remove the drive shaft before a tow for an automatic semi transmission, the latter is that this towing company doesn’t put the drive shaft back on after a tow which means not only are you having to pay Chubs for towing you will also need to pay a mechanic to put the semi trucks drive shaft back on…smh…within all of my experience having a semi truck towed, this was the first time i ever heard that one.
so yeah the tow tech was a very helpful guy in which i appreciate his effort. what i am not so happy about when it comes to the tow tech is, as he’s removing the drive shaft from the truck, he lost four of the pieces that go inside of the “U Joints” (and didn’t tell me.) so yeah i had to pay a lot of extra money in order to get rolling, money i wouldn’t have had to spend if things were done right…what a day
so unless you as an owner op are willing to foot and extra $500 and up just to have a mechanic put that drive shaft back on then i would recommend that you reach out to another towing company who tows semis and will put on what they take off, just a suggestion.
lastly, i called their place of business and the guy i spoke with said he was the owner of the company, his reason for the tow techs not putting the drive shaft back in place was pretty simple coming from his stand point which was: and i quote “ the tow guys aren’t mechanics and they don’t have to torque wrench needed to put the drive shaft back on” he also said that “being its needed and necessary to replace U joints after having a drive shaft removed on semis they don’t put it back on for that reason as well (liability) was his aim….” hmmm, come on now, anyone can make sense out of and see through that bs; so how is it that your tow techs are mechanics enough to take the drive shaft off and use tools to do so but not a mechanic when it comes to putting it back on with those same tools used to take it off, and who’s call is it that U joints be replaced…, ‘not yours Mr. Owner…’ make that make sense smh. good luck out there drivers and be safe
Amazing experience with Chubs Towing! Called the night before to schedule a tow for the following morning, they showed up on time with a flat bed. Very polite and was careful with my vehicle. Knew how to work the straps! Very impressed with the service and quality. Will definitely call them again if in need.
Amazing is all I can say they got me and my family off the side of the freeway and back on the road. Highly recommended dispatch very helpful. Drivers customer service was outstanding.
From the time I called to the time they got me and my car to the dealership everything was awesome! The lady that picked up was very friendly, she said 1-2hours wait, but Austin got there in about 40minutes maybe less. Austin was very professional, friendly and has very good customer service! He deserves a raise. Thank you all so much for taking care of me and my vehicle. You all are awesome!
Chubs Wrecker Service is A+ in my book! Prompt service and is very gentle loading and unloading of vehicle. Lee picked Me up in Dallas and brought my truck back to Rockwall. He is definitely an old school Guy like Me. Conversation on the way home, felt like I knew Him my whole life! Great Guy!!! Thanks Lee!
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they arrived and how polite and professional they were throughout the encounter. Used them twice in 24hrs, would highly recommend to anyone needing their services.
Had a great experience with JR today. Had a flat tire on the express way, I-30. JR pulled over immediately and went into action changing my tire. He only took 15 to 20 minutes( He was fast!). It's not easy getting my spare tire down, it's up under my truck. He wouldn't even take money or a hug for the service. I had a big grandma love you hug for him ? What a nice guy. Said he was just being nice. THANK YOU JR!
I needed a tow locally from my home to a mechanic, on a bit of a tight schedule on a Saturday morning. Chubs quoted me 60-90 minutes to get my truck picked up, but made it to me in about 45 minutes. The representative from Chubs was friendly and helpful. They charged more than another local wrecker service (who I won’t name), but the other wrecker service wouldn’t answer their phone on a Saturday morning (after 8am). Overall great experience.
We had to pull over because one of the cars we were towing had nearly fallen off the trailer. Called and was given an estimate of 45 minutes to an hour. Alvin got here in about 10 minutes, and in 30 minutes he had straightened it out, helped us strap it back down, and wrote us the bill and we were back on the road. Amazing job!
Absolutely the best service you could ask for! I had a flat tire on 30 on a Saturday. I called and the lady on the phone was professional and courteous. She said it would be an hour to 90 minutes which was fine however the driver showed up in 30 minutes and instead of towing my car (he knew where the “key” was to unlock my lugs) , he changed my tire and I was in the road again in 15 minutes. I will always call Chubbs and recommend them to anyone that needs towing or other service. Thank you!!
Truck crapped the bed in the middle of an intersection and was able to at least get it moved out of main traffic. Called Chub's Towing and they were able to quickly provide a tow driver to the location and get our truck to the shop. Appreciate the friendly customer service and expedient service. The lady who took my call was very nice and took my information. The driver was right on time and while hooking up the truck he noticed a new oil leak I never had before. They provide good service. I have used them before.
It was a holiday weekend and someone was able to help us out within an hour after the call. The gentleman that was on call that evening contacted me right away so we could pin point exactly where I was located. He was very friendly and helpful to drop my vehicle off where I requested.
These guys moved a 40 container for me that was loaded front to rear with equipment. They were very efficient, very thorough, and didn't waste any time getting it to the location from the pickup point. Very very reasonably priced.

Great tow service, got here in a timely fashion, helped us out immensely and also the driver was super chill. Great customer service. I’d definitely call again if needed and they are 24/7!
Excellent service!! Every one from dispatch to the driver was very professional & helpful. Even gave me a lift to my ultimate destination before hauling my truck to the shop. I would highly recommend them if your automobile fails you and you need a helping hand.
Very efficient and trustworthy. Price was comparable to other services but these drivers come in a clearly marked truck with uniformed techs. Will use again

My 2022 vehicle was damaged by the tow company. I was told that we would receive a flat bed wrecker however the traditional tow vehicle was dispatched. I have pictures of the damage.
I was stuck in the mud at 3am in the middle of nowhere. Called these guys, and they sent me to Tom Foster. His "Big Red" mud bogger came and saved me. No one else would come, because I was more than 10ft off the road...more like 1,000ft. I was never so happy to see his big lights coming down the road. Great communication, ETA updates, etc. Super recommended. Check my pics.
