So much to see! This isn’t a quick stop, they have lots of antiques, some are very unique pieces. It was easy to find and the parking is a bit small but we didn’t have an issue finding a spot. Staff was ok. Didn’t acknowledge us at all. But that’s fine. My main complaint is the pricing. Finding anything from under $25 is always impossible. Anything worthy to take home was over $60. Nice store to browse but get ready to spend lots of money on it.
A wonderful antique shop! It was spacious with so much to look at. It was hard to decide what to grab lol. Perfect for leisure shopping for yourself or someone you care for. So worth it to stop by when you have time!
This was a fun double shop when we went toward Round Top. So much stuff artfully curated. We found some treasures to bring home. Stop and see what you didn't know you needed!
I stop by Whistle Stop Antiques every time I head from Austin to Houston or back. Great selection, great prices and I love chatting with the owner and all the folks there.
We stop here every time we head to Galveston! We never leave empty handed! Here are my latest finds! The before and after of the dolphin is great! I wish I had a before of the fire extinguisher! My hubby does awesome with the brass polishing being retired Navy!
Super cool place. HUGE! Dare you to go in and come out without buying something. I walked with 3 Campbell's soup mugs, a great leather tote, some bbq rub and other odds and end for around 50 bucks.
You will be surprised just how huge it is inside. Saw a mink stowe for super cheap, a gorgeous pair of red cowgirl boots...but it's hot, and I'm not thinking about fur coats. Really is an excellent place, especially if you're over 50, just brimming with nostalgia. GO!
Avoid. I was sent damaged goods not as represented in their auction listing. Personnel were rude and snarky when I asked for a solution. Multiple messages to the owner were ignored over several weeks time. When I asked if they would file an insurance claim to cover the damages, they told me its not their job! Thats sure some customer service ethic there! Think Amazon makes their customers file claims for items that arrive damaged?
I tried three times for a solution and was met with nothing but attitude. They refused to even pay for return shipping. I had to get my credit card company involved and dispute the charges, which Jody snottily said "we win 90% of our cases, so go ahead and file a complaint" (I did; I won).
100% not recommended.
If you are either looking to secretly browse for things that are rare or find items that are unusual in a very casual, at your own pace environment, you need to stop and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.
Stephanie and Valerie noticed our car wouldn’t start after we shopped here. They came outside. They drove to Walmart and back foe new batteries for keyfob while YouTube ing how to change it. They jumped our battery with Stephanie’s truck, which worked. Told us where the nearby AutoZone was. Wouldn’t accept any tip for all the time and help. We did go but a new battery which hsd been on Fail. Thank you Lord for such wonderful people to help us. ???? min
This is place is a gem! It is huge, has a fantastic variety of things for all shoppers old and some new. The prices are very reasonable, and the owner is so sweet and helpful. We went to Blue hills and round top antique fair before this and we were disappointed because everything was completely over priced and was mainly large furniture. Then we found this place on the way back to Austin and found a bunch of treasures ... Such an awesome place - don't miss it!
Today i went into the shop and found a record i wanted to buy, i went and checked out and Lily had helped me package it up. she was very helpful and sweet and safely packaged my record. 10/10 definitely recommend.
I always find something here that needs to go home with me! On my most recent visit on 1/20/2024, Lily was super courteous and helpful. She very carefully wrapped all of our fragile purchases and couldn't have been sweeter!
What a great and unexpected find!!! The store is much larger than it appears from the outside - 140+ vendors. There is a huge selection of all kinds of quality items here that are very reasonably priced. I thought I’d stop in as I was driving by and am so glad I did. The woman at the store was so friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back.
I bought the most beautiful cabinet at a great price.
(Edited) Staff this past Saturday 11/04 (arond 2:00pm) were so rude and are not happy to assist opening the cabinets .
We always buy at least few hundred dollars and they just don't like to be asked questions or to pack the items .
There are so many other Antique stores in that area that I think we won't be going back :(
We stopped on our way from Austin back to Houston. The place was clean and dustfree. Most of the items are Americana pieces from late 1800's to the first 60 years of the 1960's. Mid to high prices. Good variety.
Went in to browse and was surprised to discover that this place is huge! It's one of those shops with individual spaces that sellers rent which is nice because you can find different price points. Added bonus they had free popcorn for your long stay.
I came across three or four things I had never seen before in all the antiquing I have done yard sales estate sales abound, but there were three different things fourth was questionable it was all impressive. They also offer free popcorn, knowing me and my habits I chose to take mine to go, since I would have left a trail of crumbs throughout the whole store.?
Love this place! It's like a museum where you can touch stuff and take it home with you! Only problem is that I spend waaay too much money every time I go there lol I bought this beauty the last time I was there.
Lots of cool goods and so many places to walk around through. It's a must to stop by and the popcorn is yummy too but it got me to walking and shopping more. Smart people they are ? and so friendly also. My honey liked all the old school desk inside
Love this store - there is so much to look at! Tons of antiques of all kinds. I enjoy going in to see what's new. They always package and wrap your purchases carefully so they make it home unbroken and preserved. Friendly staff and casual atmosphere are very conducive to browsing and taking your time.
Very neat little place if your into treasure hunting. They have something for everyone. Make sure you eat before, wear comfy shoes, don't set a time limit and have fun! I've added a few pictures to show the amazing variety of awesomeness they have. They lady that I believe owns it was super nice, very helpful, and made us feel welcomed. Definitely worth a look even if your passing through just like we did. ?
Been here twice on my antique quests, and have enjoyed my visit each time. Lots of vendors, and areas are not over crowded. There is a little of everything in this store for every type of collector. Some booths have discounts posted, but if you don't see any... the front desk can tell you if the vendor will provide a discount on higher priced items. Typical is 10% on items over $25.
