Every single somewhat bad comment here is just people complaining because something didn’t go their way, from my experience this company is very professional and their replies to these troll comments are hilarious ?
I have been buying cars, boats and golf carts from C.A.R. since they were down the road closer to Niederwald. I have always been pleased with my purchases. The staff that I know (Fred, Andrew, and Jerry) have always been very helpful. I bought a golf cart on 1/28/26 and they all helped me push it on to my trailer. Thanks guys!
I would not recommend, I bought a car on 1/28/26 and drove it down the street not even 7 mins later it caught fire and was a total lost . Said they couldn’t do nothing about it , had a horrible experience and lost thousands of dollars.
Website has automated bots that’ll bid higher the same exact second you bid so you are forced to increase your bid. As well as the vehicle reserves are likely very close if not the actual price of the instant buy price. I think the point of charity auctions is to get a vehicle for a better price. Not a 1 star auction because they are really honest of the vehicle condition online. My dad went in person and said the people are nice and allowed him to see a car even though it was passed viewing time. It’s a good trusted site to find a vehicle just a few minor issues that makes it 3 star
These people are great! Customer Service is amazing. The employees all know what they are doing and they do it well. Would totally do business with them again.
Nobody buy any cars off of this company or put cars for sale bad customer service and they don’t know how to talk to customers and if you decide to put your car in the auction for sale, somebody might buy it and not pay for it and they will make you pay for the weeks that the card didn’t sell. Customer service is really bad. They don’t sell any good cars and all the cars broken down and they won’t bother to check the right cars. Yeah I won’t even buy any car off of this auction. This auction is super bad and bad quality of customer service.
Personal there are very friendly awsering all you questions the new thing !! It will be online website where you can check all the inventory before going on person starting Feb 2nd 2025
We had a vehicle that we were not willing to pay the cost of repairs for but was still a really nice vehicle for the right person who probably works on cars. Kyle Auto Auction was recommended to us by our mechanic. I was a bit nervous and cautious not really sure what I was getting in to. But the second Andrew answered the phone everything was smooth sailing. He was so kind and explained everything to me. Once we got there with the title even everyone in the office was so nice. Great customer service is hard to find these days but this place has top tier service. I highly recommend them.
They are a small auction and are not updated properly on there system so even tho you have your id in your phone they want a physical one. Or they will not allow you entry, don’t waste your time going with a digital id. Take your wallet.
They don’t even look at it right. So I’m not sure why the digital is not accepted, an inconvenient way to not be able to look at cars.
Overall, I’ve had a really good experience with them. I’ve bought about six vehicles and I’ve only had problems with one. It was supposed to run and then when I got there at didn’t run but that was the first time that that’s happened to me at this place, I thought that they would, let me get a different vehicle or refund my money but they didn’t so it’s good to go check out the car before you bid online and make sure it does run because just because it says it runs sometimes they don’t but like I set up only had that problem once
Today I picked up a vehicle for my son and service was excellent. Everyone were so helpful. Staff helped me with hitching my vehicle and even add air to my tire. I may go back. Thank you guys so much. I purchased a 2008 Suzuki sx4 for under 1k with fees.
This company is a snake, I sold cars thru Peddle and I had the manager at Charitable call me to undercut Peddle and sell my car directly thru their auction. They offered to pick up my cars and let me know what Peddle would offer and beat the bid. Last month I sold them a truck and they found out what dealer I was buying cars from and they undercut me and offered to sell all there cars as well. I have informed Peddle and will stay on top of it until something is done! Asking me to go around Peddle and deal directly with Charitable has nothing to do with incorrect paperwork. None the less I know Peddle is looking into this as I have text messages from the manager as proof.
If you are looking to get a solid car for cheap even if you need to take a risk then you should consider joining this places on line auction. I got a bmw 325 an 06 that had some issues but nothing I wasn't able to manage for 1050. Unfortunately I didn't keep the car long but it was definitely one of the better Deals I've gotten lifetime. I'm not a dealer but I love cars and the process of acquiring future and current classics like this one. They let you look at any car on Friday evening and the auctions at we conducted on Saturday morning via their website. Anybody can bid with a $300 refundable entrance fee if u fail to win any bids. This place is a hidden gem, don't sleep on it. Good luck
- First I got a quote through peddle, and answered everything accurately.
- Then I was told to go through this company and to reach out to coordinate the pickup
- I provided the same verbal answers on the phone as I did on the online form.
- They said I was lying and were not interested.
- They had me jump through hoops of sending pictures of my photo ID, along with photo copy of Title and photo copies of vehicle.
- They said they were not interested in me providing proof of my claims, which in this case is that it starts and runs as indicated.
- Multiple different phone numbers then started texting me from across multiple area codes, and I've typed END as instructed to get them to stop, (as they now tell me AFTER getting an in-writing approved quote, that they will not honor it due to me 'lying'.) And that I will sooner sell it for less, than deal with being accused, and rescinding a written offer.
Nothing about them was quality, nothing about them was class, and nothing about them was kind, friendly, or helpful. Waste. Of. Time.

Edit: They claim I misrepresented the vehicle in the reply. They also claim that my description of a 'tick' is the same as a 'knock' and did not want any videos, or audio, of the engine running as is, they were only interested in telling me I am lying, and not receiving evidence to the contrary, case in point, the owners reply to my review doing exactly that.
These guys are eager to call you a liar, and un-interested in receiving tangible, provable evidence to the contrary. (of which, they are continuing to call me a liar even here and now.)
Good place to buy a car motorcycle or boat but make sure you understand the fees. Also highly recommend you go out the Friday before the Saturday auction and look at what you want to bid on so you are not surprised
Buyer beware , this auction charges ungodly amounts of buyers fees to buy there . Most auctions charge average of 12 to 15 percent , these people charge over 60 percent buyers/auction fees , own a 260 dollar vehicle the charges were 285.00 . Just the buyer fee was 159.00 , there is no auction and I go to a average of one a month charges fees like this , tgis is the first time and the last time . The 159.00 charges doesn’t include ttl cc fees etc etc those were another 120 something dollars So buyer beware ! , response ... to owner ,yes sir i was defiantly wrong about a couple of things i should have never used that language and i am truly sorry for that . i also should have read the prices you have posted ,i just would have never in a million years thought a auction would charge that kinda fees ,i have never seen one charge anywere close to that .i really would have thought it was illegal ,but after researching i found that its not regulated. it should be , and after being in the auto industry for 37 yrs i thought i had seen seen every way that car sellers could cheat people out of there money ,sir you have opened my eyes and educated me to a knew way . i just gotta ask why ? why do you feel the need to charge these so excessive fees ? when others charge 10 to 20 percent .its not like you have much over head ,its own a mud /gravel lot with a run down office trailer own that sells junk cars to people that usually cant afford anything more . ill take the refund and never will i be back .ty scott
Great place. Ive been going for years. I know the management and they are very helpful amazing people! Rhey always have a great variety of cars. All online now pretty simple!
DO not buy here. SCAM. There cars have salvage history but they don’t state that until your getting your title. Took my $300 deposit because I told them i am not driving a salvage car it’s unsafe how can you guarantee it’s safe? He stayed quit. It’s also hard to find a insurance company that will put full coverage on salvage cars. I was going to dispute it but i don’t have time for court and plus athey lost my business instead and I hope others stay away. I made the mistake of not paying attention to the other reviews and it cost me $300 lol it’s ok what comes around goes around. Bidding open to the public but public is bidding against Dealers and businesses from across the border so only worst vehicles go cheap. Don't expect to find a cherry. Dealer trade-in's and donation vehicles will have dents, scratches, torn interior, faded paint, rust, holes, check engine light, mechanical problems, high mileage...winning bidder should expect some repairs to make road worthy. All that said, I bought a 2003 in 2018 and it is still hauling me around.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Lots of good cars to choose from. Cars are more on the reasonable side. Will continue to purchase and sell my cars here. Great auction
So I bid on a vehicle to which they said it was on call after the bid was placed then they said they wont call until the entire auction is over, they called the owner after a 7 hour wait for it to end and said he wouldn't take less than what he wanted which could've been mentioned before or atleast have the bidding start at that price, back then they would skip if the amount was not reached idk why this time was different. The thing that sucks is I could have bid on another car but only had so much to spend, considering the car was for me and not to resell. THIS IS A DEALERSHIP NOT AN AUCTION. Just be warned guys I hope you all have better luck, hope y'all don't waste your time and have the same situation happen to you, because unless you're willing to pay more than what you're bidding. Terrible experience....
P.S we've tried asking one of the workers (KENNY) whos worked there for years for help on multiple occasions he's terrible he couldn't care less about anything you ask!! Always makes it seem like he just wants his paycheck and to go home instead of addressing problems or questions you have. Terrible help....
All the cars are donated so the inventory ranges from decent to not so decent. The Auction is Open to the Public as well as dealers so that is a plus. They also had an on-line auction as well as a live one. However, when bidding in the online Auction be aware that the winning bid is not necessarily going to get the car. Because the cars are donated, the charity has a "reserve" price. If the winning online bid is below the reserve price, the winner can submit an offer but if it is not at or above the reserve price you will probably not get the car. The staff are really nice. The place is new so they will improve with time but it is still a great place to look for a car
Terrible Auction service. Terrible rules that don’t protect you as a buyer. The guy who takes bids makes a lot of mistakes including getting wrong bids numbers from buyers. Very rude helpers around the property including office employees. Nothing is neat, registration process is terrible, employees at the office do not move fast, they are very slow taking care of you in which sometimes they will refuse to help you because they close at 4:00 pm even though it wasn’t your fault because the team of workers work very slow. This property work very slow and provide unpleasant customer service. Don’t trust any vehicle from this Auction because the owner tried to cover issues anoucemnt about the car problems. I have a lot of bad experience to say about this Austin service but you get what I am trying to say here. I do not recommend this place.
