So I attempted to use them for towing, but ran into issues. I called initially for a quote and received a super reasonable quote. Happy with that, I called back at 2:10 and gave a 1 hr heads up requesting to meet the tow truck at my cars location for pickup, the driver told me that would work. I get there at 3:15 and call him back, and he tells me he’s in Austin and will start heading my way, eta is 1 hr and he’ll call me. I’m kinda bummed but say ok I’ll wait for you. Fast forward 1 hr 20 minutes to 4:35, I call him back cause I received no call and he wasn’t there. He says he’s on 35 in traffic almost to Kyle, will be there in 30 minutes. Says again he’ll call me. Fast forward 40 minutes to 5:15, I call him again and he tells me he’s 30 minutes away and to wait for him to call me. I told him that he made it very apparent my car wasn’t a priority to him and that he can turn around and go back go Austin. Call Hook Hero in San Marcos, they showed up in 20 minutes.
Pete's Towing Service in Kyle saved us from a nightmare situation being stranded on a major Interstate after a blowout. Our driver showed up super fast, with professional and courteous service and assisted us to get not only our car but us to the destination safely! My car got impounded and I was charged $480 and some change to get my truck back that was less then 10,000 pounds they told me that the Kyle police department set the fee to receive my truck. So I ask the officer that’s in charge of the contract that concern towing. He tell me that the police department can’t set the prices and that the towing company is just trying to get extra money. So now I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and the department of licensing and registration because the state law also states a regulated price through the whole state of Texas . They are frauds and liars that steel money from people that know no better
Don’t let the prices fool you, just because they are the lowest price in the area, does’t mean the service is going to be cheap. Best service at the cheapest price. Arturo was nice and helpful.
