Uhaul services used ... U Save 1108 Snapps Ferry Rd No 3, Greeneville, TN 37745 location was amazing and super helpful and accommodating. I can't recommend this location enough. So friendly. The inside was recently cleared and deodorized. It used to smell like smoke but no more. The staff have made huge improvements to their store showing great pride in their business. I used them three years ago and used again now. I appreciate their welcoming personalities so much. They greet everyone the same like neighbors.
The lady at the counter and both the manager, John are unprofessional to hang up in people’s faces. They didn’t like the fact they were wrong rented a truck and turned it in the very next day never used all of my miles or the whole 2-3 days that I rented the truck For I did not have the truck the whole time I just had For one night very unprofessional
Warning! Avoid U Sav Auto at all cost. If I could give this shop zero stars I would but Google will not allow that so unfortunately I was forced to give them 1 star. I took my Saturn Outlook in because it was acting up. After they checked it out they said it was the front catalytic convertor. I told them to go ahead and take care of it. Then a couple days later they called and said they fixed that but now they are noticing the back catalytic convertor needs to be replaced as well. So I told them to go ahead and take care of that too. After the work was done I paid them almost $1,500, picked up my vehicle, drove it home, then back to town, and on the way home my car broke down on the side of the rode doing the exact same thing that it was doing before U Sav Auto Center had ever started working on it (note I also had my 3 children in the car with me). This time my car wouldn't start at all. I had it towed back to U Sav Auto Center. They charged me for the tow and the diagnostic but couldn't seem to diagnose anything this time. I paid to get my car out of this fly by night scummy shop and took it to a different shop that came highly recommended by family. They were instantly able to diagnose the issue as being transmission related. I told U Sav Auto this and they refused to do ANYTHING to remedy the situation. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE TO HAVE ANY WORK DONE EVER!!! This shop is full of lyers and scam artists who seem to know nothing about cars. Now I still have to fix my car and I'm out $1700 for absolutely nothing. Worst experience with a mechanic I've ever had in my life.
The guys at U-sav have been very helpful, I’ve been in 3 times to return U-Haul equipment from a move across state. Jeremy has been able to correct issues that the originating U-Haul store created on 2 occasions. Super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Re: Roadside Assistance
While towing a boat and trailer from Long Island, NY to Mobile, AL I sustained a trailer tire blowout on I-81S at mile marker 34. This occurred Sunday evening while I was looking for lodging for the night. The sun had set and twilight was fading.
When I called AAA, I learned my plan did not cover trailer problems, but the AAA assistance operator did provide me with the names of several towing services in the Greeneville, TN area. The first on the list was A-1 Towing & Recovery which was engaged in the aftermath of a massive wreck; however, he provided me with the name and number of U Sav Auto Center as an alternative.
I called U Sav Auto Center who dispatched Kevin Collins to my assistance.
Marooned on the shoulder of a rural interstate highway in the dark while eighteen-wheelers thunder by at 70-75mph is one of my more memorable-and less pleasant-experiences. But I digress.
Kevin arrived in ~20 minutes and changed out the destroyed tire for the spare in 15 minutes. While awaiting his arrival I called the Hampton Inn Greenville for a reservation. Google maps routed me onto Hwy 70. When I mentioned this to Kevin, he recommended that I use Exit 23 and Hwy 11E, a four lane divided highway as opposed to 70 which he described as a two lane road following the curving path of a snake.
In addition, he volunteered to escort me to the Hampton Inn Greenville "just in case." After an hour in the dark on the side of I-81 I probably had a "deer in the headlights" affect; I really appreciated his spontaneous escort offer.
As he departed after escorting me to the Hampton Inn, he suggested the Walmart Auto Center a half mile from the Hampton Inn as a source for replacement tires.
A few hours later in the predawn I tried to read the tire size on the remaining "good tire;" I couldn't read the number but noted the tread was cracking, exposing the underlying belt! This discovery reinforced my appreciation for his "escort" a few hours earlier.
By 9:15am I was "on the road" with new trailer tires from Walmart, arriving in Mobile 10 hours later.
This experience reminded me of a comment I read a couple of years ago after Hurricane Sally made landfall in Gulf Shores, AL just south and east of Mobile wrecking the electric power lines: "The most important linemen in this country don't play in the NFL."
U Save Auto Center-and specifically Kevin Collins-remind me that the people who make this country run are not the high profile athletes and celebrities but the individuals who perform their jobs in a professional fashion, often "going above and beyond" their specific job descriptions.
