Rudest purple haired female I've ever encountered. My brother and I had brought some stuff there and she was very rude and unprofessional. She also told us we didn't know what we were talking about when it came to scrapping and I kindly said "miss we have been doing this a long time and she rolled her eyes and was like if you say so sir and she actually walked away so we waited for a really nice gentleman that helped us with no problems or attitudes.
I don't know what kind of clowns you all have working there but the lady with the purple hair is a very rude female tell me if I didn't like the prices I could absolutely freely go somewhere else and walked away. Very unprofessional if you ask me and companies these days allow employees to look how ever and be very rude to customers. She didn't even know what she was talking about and rude at that. Who tells a customer to go somewhere else if they don't like the price. I will absolutely do just that.
I am new to Tennessee. 2nd place I have tried to scrape copper. Gave me #2 copper price for what I am use to as #1. Nice clean copper. Gentleman didn't tell me the difference for the 2. So all the #1 I had went for #2 instead. By the way. The #2 was half a 5 gallon buckets worth and the number #1 was a garbage cans worth. .50 difference.
I could went to a place closer to me for probably same price. can add up for money. Could had me separate it instead piling all into one on the scale. Maybe i can get some to explain what the difference is. Cause everywhere I see #2 is contaminated ir sheathing on. And wire I had was 8wire up to #2 size wire. Stranded together. In which I figure together is bigger than 1/16 as described. May use again. But will check out different places first. Staff was good. Maybe needs to be a bit more knowledge when helping people
I was looking for a place to BUY scrap metal to practice welding and tinkering with. This places is perfect!
You drive in, the weigh your truck. Load up and drive out to weigh again. Pay (currently 60 cents pound) and go.
They have all kinds of scrap metal. Some is brand new, still bundled or sheet metal on pallets.
Employees are nice too.
Very friendly. I don’t usually buy scrap metal so I’m not sure of the prices comparable to new metal. Seemed a little high for scrap but I’m really not knowledgeable enough on the subject to say for sure.
Ive had trouble finding a good yard, but this place I think is the best. Been looking for a long time. Everyone there is super friendly, they guys try and give you the best prices. They are honest people. ITs hard finding honest folk that wont screw you over. Super helpful with my questions. They went out of their way to give me the best prices. instead of going outta their way to give me the worst, like a certain yard in bristol.
And I forgot her name, dont have the best memory. But the older lady at the front desk. Super nice and helpful. Interesting Gal to talk to. Always enjoy listing to people that have something useful to say. She had useful things to say. Hard worker. People in my age group could use her work ethic. So many people in my generation (millennials) are just lazy and entitled. ITs honestly a breath of fresh air to see there is still hard working people out there. Makes me feel alone when I'm the only guy in my age group that works hard. She wasnt having the most fun digging in the metal she was separating. My condolences.
So 10/10 scrap yard. I'll be back once I get more loot

I started using Ameriscrap 2 years ago solely for my recycling purposes as well as scrap metal purchases needed for projects projects on my job sites. Prior to using AmeriScrap I was going to there only other their competitor whose name I will not mention Because it was closer and more convenient for me Bang it for me but I'm willing to drive willing to drive across town to AmeriScrap Because of a few reasons. Yes. Their prices are always fair and their staff is courteous and professional . The yard itself is also very well maintained and kept orderly. I would highly recommend using these guys for your scrap metal or your scrap metal purposes..
I wouldn't recommend this business. 1. didn't Display the weight of cans. 2.only place I've ever seen changing the price there paying on date other than 1st of month. 3. I felt very rushed. In my 20yrs scraping. Any one of this isn't good. I'd recommend omnisource. With always pays national average or better.
They are always friendly to me and for a foundry they keep there place really clean and everything organized. I have used them for many of years now and they have always gave me great service.
Took down a barn and hauled the roof and sides off to here.. Fair price and everyone working there was friendly and helpful. (Better than PAYING to get rid of your junk!)
Its a good place to take your scrap/recyclables to make some extra money. Yeah because the economy prices are lower than they used to be and that makes it hard to make a living doing it anymore. But this scrapyard is very helpful and usually friendly as long as u follow the saftey rules while you are there.
