RED FLAG WARNING.. NICE GUYS I WILL SAY THAT.. BUT THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.. MY TRUCK WAS BROUGHT IN WITH A WRECKER.. THE MECHANIC WORKING ON MY TRUCK PULLED ME ASIDE AND SAID.. BE CAREFUL THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF.. HE TOLD ME HE WAS QUITTING AND THIS WAS HIS LAST DAY AND HE WAS NOT EVEN ABLE TO PAY FOR HIS APARTMENT RENT.. AND HE'S LOSING HIS APARTMENT AND HE HAS TO MOVE.. SO I LISTENED TO HIM AND DID AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE TO MY TRUCK.. BECAUSE THE RED FLAG WENT UP WHEN THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE COST FOR REPAIR BEFORE THEY STARTED ON THE TRUCK. LABOR WAS ONLY 8 HOURS WORKED TOTAL. I WAS THERE AT THE SHOP SO I KNOW THIS..OR ONE DAY AND THE NEW PARTS INSTALLED.. COST UNDER $1,000.. FOR MY TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR AND THEY ENDED UP CHARGING ME FOR ONE DAY OF REPAIR WORK FOR LABOR COST$4,000 ON DAY TWO.. OF THE REPAIR I DECIDED TO LEAVE WITH MY TRUCK.. I DID PAY THEM IN FULL $5,000.. AND MY TRUCK WAS NOT FIXED AND GO TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP.. DOWN THE STREET FROM THIS REPAIR SHOP..AND I'M GLAD I DID BECAUSE IT ONLY COST ME $1000.00. TO FIX MY TRUCK TOTAL.. SO AS YOU CAN SEE THEY RIPPED ME OFF..$4,000 FOR DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.. ALSO THE OTHER REPAIR SHOP TOLD ME THESE ARE SOME BAD PEOPLE AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM.. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THEY HEARD COMPLAINTS FROM AND GOT RIPPED OFF FROM THEM.. SO YEAH IT WAS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND I HOPE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH.. ALSO I DID REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS FOR SCAMMING CUSTOMERS... WARNING STAY AWAY FROM THIS TRUCK REPAIR SHOP.
This is not a good place for take your truck for repair. they take one month for changing my truck transmission and they charge me $6,000 for just labor. They charge 4% on credit card charge and that is not legal in a Tennessee state
Brought our truck in for what should've been a quick job four tires, two rims, and a drag link. You'd think that's maybe a half-day repair, right? Nope. These "pros" managed to stretch it into three full days. Impressive. Then came the bill. Apparently, asking questions about the parts they replaced is frowned upon, and for every 30 minutes they had to wait on us, they tacked on $80. Funny how it's perfectly fine for them to keep us waiting three days, but the moment the tables turn? Suddenly our time is the problem. The owner, Gerald, is definitely a character let's just say customer service isn't exactly his strong suit. If you're hoping for quick, fair, or even halfway decent service, keep driving. Unless of course, you enjoy paying extra to be inconvenienced.
Quick Update 9/22/25 a day later one of the tires they sold us exploded. Real quality work with quality parts.
Great service here. Got a tire changed on my semi and was rolling in no time. Great staff. Very helpful Any truckers need anything done on their trucks and you’re in the area this is the place to stop by.
I was having issues with the DEF on my 2018 Cascadia. Shocker , I know !They worked me in ,but it was Friday and parts wouldn't make it there until Monday . I went home until the truck was fixed . I had a good over all ! I definitely would recommend the shop to my friends !
Super cool folks in here very knowledgeable about what they are working on but they are in the same boat as every shop in the country either can't get the part or they get told it's on its way but not told where it's on it's way from so be patient with the guys they will get it as fast as possible to get you up and running!!!
These guys went ABOVE and BEYOND to do an emergency boat trailer axle repair. The office staff and mechanics were friendly, helpful and efficient. We were passing through on the way to Memphis for work and limped into their shop. They even helped us find a company that could fabricate a new axle to fit our trailer and got us back on the road feeling safe. Definitely Recommend! THANK YOU from “Joe with boat trailer”
Nothing but good things to say about these folks. They answered the phone after hours, sent someone out and they couldn't get me going right away. They took me to the hotel, got to work on my truck the next morning, picked me up the next day and had me back on the road by lunch. Both techs and the boss were super cool. Will definitely use them again!
As OTR drivers, we often don't have a choice when it comes to repairs due to a breakdown. On this night, the transmission filter came off damaging the transmission, and as we looked at our location and decide where to have it towed, it's like throwing darts with a blindfold on.
We ended up at Newport Truck & Trailer, the tow driver said they were honest, hard workers, and they did go above and beyond to help us which included special pricing at Best Western, a connection with an gentleman (Uber, $10 cash only) to transport us and all our belongings and even using some of their fridge/freezer space to hold some of our perishables.
There were a few hiccups, mainly lost time (3 days) due to the 4th of July holiday, as well as miscommunication between the mechanics and the ladies in the office, as well as a broken plastic part (part of the headlight assembly) that we would have preferred knowing about beforehand.
Their current rate is $160 /hr. And they do charge 3% if your paying by credit card.
Overall, good experience and would totally recommend.

Was driving from Nashville to South Carolina with a trailer and mower. My trailer came off the ball on the interstate for some reason. Went to see these people and he fixed me up good. Even got NAPA to deliver a new pin bolt. Thank you all so much.
Not friendly at all Service tech came out told me to back in the bay I simply Asked him how much it would be (to change a wheel bearing on my trailer) and his response was “I’m wasting his time”
Fast and great service with cheap competitive prices that you can't be disappointed in, so if you need work done around Newport TN this is the place to go.
I took my pull behind trailer there for wiring repair. I was charged 128 bucks per hour. They worked on the trailer for 2 hours and left it in worse shape than i brought it! They charged me anyway even though i had to take it elsewhere and still had to pay for the repair. Not happy!

we were serviced in this garage they took more than $ 300 from us for one bolt which they replaced for me. when I asked the owner of the garage how much one hour of work costs, he just sent me and said that he would call towing so that I could pay them more. I do not recommend this service to anyone
This truck repair shop was awesome, wonderful hospitality. Normally 24hr service robs trucks that breakdown but they where honest with no price gouging, I recommend them to anyone who needs service.
Excellent road service. Can do just about anything you need. Fair prices. The owner is a owner operator and he understands that problems can pop up and we need a fix that's safe and fast.

Run away from this place! We call them to jump start our truck, they show up with short cables. They didn't start the truck and they ask for payment. Lady was really rude over the phone. Avoid!
Gerald and his team are some of the best large mechanics out here in Newport. Highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their diesel trucks. Hands down they are the best!

I broke down at a local truck stop and my company called newport. They were very quick to get there and the gentleman did his best to get me back on the road. Finally gave up at 3am. Ended up being towed there the next morning and they had me rolling be late afternoon. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Very professional
From the first call to them for service, to signing my bill and shaking hands with the mechanic Noah, after he repaired a broken connection on my trailer brake chamber...simply good people, providing good work. Without a doubt, if I am ever broke down or need a drive-in repair, these folks will get my business.
For truckers reading this, please pass along to drivers to move to left lane when triangle are out. I understand some situation make moving over not the best move, when hung up in crowds. I'm talking about the dozens of truckers who didnt move over, when nothing prevented them from doing so. It was really pathetic to see so many truckers fly past the mechanic.
If you need someone to repair your truck I would definitely highly recommend these guys.. Very professional and knowledgeable. I broke down at the 440 Truckstop and gave them a call for the repair and they were right on it... they have Cat parts so that will save you a bunch by them not having to run to Knoxville for parts..their prices are great!!! Give them a buzz if you need repairs they won’t let you down
