Helpful to have a central place to dump household waste, yard waste, recycling, e-waste. One of the few places that will accept old TV's for recycling without charging a fee.
Been coming here weekly for over a year. I live to minutes away. A guy just sitting there now checking id to make sure I live in Greenville county. Will would I even drive here if I leaved out of the county. Didn’t have my Id because again I live 2 minutes away and he wouldn’t let me dump my trash.
Tried to take a mattress that was strapped down was told to wait bc it would have to go inside. So we were told to park somewhere else until it was time, he then signals us to back up and when we asked for additional assistance like how to go about taking it out and the guy spoke to us as if we were being inconsiderate and taking up two spots. They need better communication with people
I just went there today 9-7-24.the guy named Larry Kelly cussed me and my father out because he was being rude and I wanted his bossman name and number to call and report him.Anyone know who to contact let me know please.
Very disrespectful employees I have used this landfill for years and today I was limited to only 3 cubic yards I only had 3 pieces of furniture to Dispose of and had to take 1 piece home till tomorrow why does our taxes found this if they limit us
So glad to have this place available. The recycling set up is easy and the traffic through the household waste bays goes quickly. Sometimes the yard waste area gets backed up, but you just have to be a little patient. Workers are nice and helpful.
People were nice, it wasn’t clearly labeled where to dump stuff but I found it with their help (I need help sometimes haha) A good place will def come again!
Its pretty straightforward, they have bins
and trailers labeled where you can place your things....be sure to park near the desired area....best to go in morning, less traffic
There are no signs of where to throw plastic, metal, wood, etc. The people working there tell you where to dump different materials and you better take notes otherwise they are going to yell at you.
One of the persons working there talked to me as if I were an animal. It was my first time so I did not know "the protocols." I pulled my trailer and the guy stoped me and said something like, "you don't do anything before talking to me first!" Then because I was trying to be conscientious classifying plastic, metal, wood, etc. He said "you have been here too long do the line again." The line was more than 20 minutes long so I left super frustrated.
I have visited this site many times and had no issues. However, I visited in November and was treated terribly by the 2 men working that morning. They spoke to me in hateful tones and were extremely rude. I DO work and pay taxes, I was so upset by the treatment I received at a facility that I help pay for. These men were, obviously miserable...maybe they need other employment? By the way, I never approached either of them. I felt singled out. I can honestly say I've NEVER been treated so poorly ANYWHERE else.
Easy. One of the employees (a Veteran), was extremely helpful and explained what was allowed and not allowed. Thank you for your service!

We took our christmas tree here today to dispose of it and had excellent service, the two gentlemen that were there showed us right where to go and made sure we were able to get it off of our car!
Quick and easy early in the morning, pull in, get the trash into the bins and a friendly wave from the staff. Having private garbage pickup is a pain, Blackberry alleviates that pain by being so easy to use.
I go here atleast 4 times a week. So check it out.
There's 3 main employees up there.
Employee #1 is the ''guy" guy. He WAY over uses the word "Guy". He calls EVERYONE "guy" and treats you like scum. Everytime. Guy..
Employee #2 is who I lovingly call the "Trash Natzi" He's a skinny short man who takes his job extremely serious and will accuse you of being from Pickens if you cross him and he will demand an ID. The Trash Natzi will treat you like scum as well. Beware.
Employee #3 is a chubby guy who's actually pretty cool. Try to get the chubby dude. It's a WAY better experience with him.
Overall, hey, it's a place to throw my trash for free! So who can complain. Just saying.

The guy that met me first was a very nice, respectful white man. he directed me to wait for a couple of trucks ahead of me, no problem. I pulled down to dumpster #3 to unload there is only room for one vehicle at a time, this guy pulls in beside me and I told him if he would help unload my truck , I would help unload his. The black man working there told us we could not help each other. That we both had to unload our own trucks. Did I mention no one was waiting. I pay greenville county taxes for the use of this place, so I pay his salary anyway you look at it. He does not have the right to tell me what to do when it come to helping other people. He needs a job somewhere else. A waste of the tax payers money in my opinion. Sorry for the description but I didn't get his name.
Very organized place. And very friendly staff. You can bring just about anything here to get recycled. Not only plastic, metal and paper, but clothes, household batteries, cellphones, electronics, paint, yard waste, used oil.... absolutely anything. Except glass. The county recycle company stopped accepting it. Open Tues-Sat 7am-6pm. Closed some major holidays too, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day.
Not very nice. Make sure you do not show up with anything over 3 cubic yards or they will laugh at you and send you packing(all they way to Twin Chimneys most of the way to Greenwood). I called and asked how much they would except and was told 3 cubic yards but they should have told me anything over and I could not unload any of it. Not run well at all.
