Went to O’Reilly Auto to pick up a cup holder came out and my Jeep would not start. I went back in the store and the manager was very helpful. There was a gentleman Chris, new guy in training assisted me with checking the battery, alternator and starter. He determined it was a bad battery. Chris went above and beyond, took out the old battery and placed the new battery.

This specific store will always take care of their customers. I go all the time, and always get what I need. If they have to order a part its always been at most, a day later. Everyone there knows a lot about cars in general. Never had a bad vibe, always get what I need.

I've been dealing with them since they opened the store with very few problems and never a problem that hasn't been resolved quickly and efficiently. Customer service also is top notch! A+ ☆☆☆☆☆

I buy alot of parts at this location but some of the people that work there really don't help out to much when it comes to ordering parts I've ordered parts and they don't come in so I try only to deal with Ryan he knows what he's doing and he really goes out of his way to get me what I want and i always ask for him if he's not in that day I usually wait till he is there and I hate to say it but if he leaves that store I will not go there anymore

I cannot say how appreciative I am after visiting my local O’Reilly’s Auto Parts! I was welcomed as soon as I entered the store, offered assistance, thanked for shopping by a very pleasant young man at the register. I had shopped at this store before, I purchased replacement headlight bulbs. I had previously replaced the bulb myself but was having a very hard time this time. I re-entered the store to ask a question about positioning the pin holding the bulb in place. Without hesitation, Manager Ryan came right outside with me to see what my difficulty was. I told him I did not want him interrupting his work and he immediately said “it is part of my job” How often do we hear that anymore He went to work putting the new bulb in, secured it, plugged it in, put everything back together for me, and would not leave until he was sure my headlight was working! I cannot thank him enough, as a woman trying to get the task done alone, he was my Knight in shining armor! Doesn’t happen too often these days May his kindness return to him ten fold 😊

This is a great store. Clean, well managed, shelves always neat and stocked. I'm not a mechanic but I do wrench my family cars so I'm in this store often. If you get the opportunity ask for Ryan behind the counter. Super knowledgeable very polite always resolves my issues. Good guy.

So I have to say. I got some wrong parts. And some bearings just not enough parts. But that Ryan is the man. I’ve straighten everything out correctly saved me a bunch of time. So if you have something that you’re just not sure of see Ryan. Also I don’t want to leave Joey out he help me out with a bit of humor cheered me right up. While assisting Ryan. Very team work they sure know how to make the customer feel better with quality service.

Went there today with my friend just for the worker named Ryan to wanna talk bad about my accident and my friends atv accident in the most inhuman and disrespectful way. Not to mention the fact that 2 out 3 of the people that he was disrespecting are minors. This is also not the first time he has done this to us and I’m very disappointed in the establishment for allowing him to continue to work there after the multiple incidents.

Went in to buy a fuel filter for my service truck, been doing business there for years the counter help was so rude from the start then telling me he couldn’t take my business check.asked if he needed my drivers license, he said not yet left the filter on the counter we had a few words then left. Never again will I go to another store. I went to napa be treated like that. store and was treated like a gentleman great counter help. No one needs that

When I asked about purchasing a battery and getting the battery installed I was told “yeah we do battery installation but this is a job for a mechanic so you should go next door and have them install it.” If I wanted to pay a mechanic for a battery replacement I would. So it’s advertised as free battery test and battery installation, but I was told no? Makes no sense, I guess some people just don’t want to do their job. False advertisement. Won’t be back to this location.

They dropped my bulb in my car and didn’t have anything to get it out asked for plyers and said they don’t have any what auto parts store doesn’t have plyers they are the ones who dropped it

Both of my last visits an employee named Christopher helped me out. He went above and beyond in both instances. He helped me diagnose the problem, located where in the engine the part was, and looked up which of the 2 sensors it actually was so it wouldn't be a guessing game for me to replace them. While the computer was loading in the store, he gave me some tips and advice about how to replace it and what to do to make sure the check engine light goes off. My experience before that, he was just as knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Makes the car repair experience much easier and less dreadful for someone like me who knows nothing about cars

Christopher was extremely helpful. Thought I needed a new battery, turned out all I needed was new terminals. He came outside and tested out the starter and looked over the battery terminals, ended up returning the battery and starter and only had to buy 10 dollar terminals. He saved me so much time and money! Truck started right up with new terminals. He even put them on himself! Very knowledgable, obviously knows what he’s doing. The model employee for all auto part stores! 👍

I'm so Thankful for O'Reilly's in Johnston, I find the Most Helpful staff!!! Tonight, Mark performed over & above by assisting with replacing my headlights. He told me the lights were fine in the front but he continued to walk to the back of the car to advise that the right break lights needed to be replaced. Even nearing the store closing hours, Mark took the extra effort to get some tools to complete the job. I advised him that I would be travelling in a couple days, so I was even more grateful for his assistance. I know not all who work in an Automotive supply store have the necessary skills to assist but I was SO happy Mark was able to assist. Thank you again Mark for being attentive to my travelling situation and going the Extra Mile to help me!! *Highly Satisfied

I went today friday the 16th around 2pm to get new wiper blades for my new Rouge for I had to go over the Newport Bridge and my blade had torn. I went there and they help me find the right size and they help me put it on and it was sleeting/raining out and really bad weather. Of course with my luck my passenger's blade wouldn't come off for either one of us and the associate went in to get his manager and he popped it off in literally 2 seconds. I was so thankful for their help! And they offered help instead assuming I needed help because I am a woman. Super amazing staff. On a separate note I want to say a special thank you to this store for helping a now late friend who was often difficult to deal with due to his age and his illness at the end. Charlie was a special man who had so much passion for fixing his old truck. They were always so gracious with him despite how difficult he can be due to treatments and with his mind started to go. Thank you for helping an old veteran with the only hobby that kept him going for as long as it did!! Your neighbor on Hartford Ave Yana!

Excellent customer service woman! Very knowledgeable and made sure that I knew that they can price match or even beat their competition! Good to know! She also carried my heavy part out to my trunk for me! I wish I had gotten her name!!

Doug, Joey, and Ray will get you what you need the first time even if they can’t find it in the computer- they’ll go to the books. Ray won’t rest or sleep until he finds you what you need or want. Best parts store I’ve ever been to, they get it right the first time first call no matter what. Often imitated never duplicated. O’Reilly Johnston has advanced, Autozone and NAPA beat hands down.

Knowledgeable staff. Helped me replace my headlight bulb (even though I could have done it myself.) Only detraction is that he was very heavy on the upsell. Tried to get me to get the super bright headlight, even despite me saying that I hate those things.

I was driving into Providence when I noticed a tail light appeared to be out (fast blink). I went in to get a replacement bulb, the manager recommended I purchase bulb grease. I didn't bother to argue with him about the purchase and I also didn't want to be that customer who kept them their past closing time (I walked in at 850pm). I swapped the bulb in the parking lot and realized it wasn't the bulb. By the time I looked up they had locked the door. I return the next day with both items opened and proceeded to return them. This is where this return goes down hill. The associate who started off the return was nice and did all he could before asking for assistance. As we waited I asked if he was going to return the bulb grease too. He stated it was opened and couldn't return it. He even asked the same manager who made the recommendation, he too said no, but never came out to explain it. There was who I assume it to be an assistant manager, who came over to help. I asked him if he was going to return the item, he stated no. I then proceeded to tell him "I didn't need it nor asked for it, it was recommended by your manager, the least he can do is take it back". He proceeds to tell me about his return policy, and I cut him off and asked him, why didn't the manager last night explain any of this? If I had known this I would of told him thanks but no thanks. He then continues and I interrupt him again because at this time I'm upset that I was sold an item that can be returned. I tole him I won't be coming back so please continue with the return. He tells me " I don't care if you do". He continues with an attitude and completes the refund and off I go. I then call customer support to get an explanation as to WHY they would recommend items that can be returned and secondly why they think its ok to talk to paying customers in that fashion. I was advised the district manager would be calling me back within 24hrs. Well, this took place Tuesday, its now Saturday. Sorry you have lost my business. I purchase hundreds if not thousands from Advance Auto parts, and when things don't work they return then no problem. Hence why they will continue to get my business.
