The guy that works behind the counter that acts like he is the owner is very rude. I called before I left boston to tell them I was coming to pick up a part. 1 hour and some change later. I get here and the part has not been removed from the donor vehicle. So in order not to come back I have to wait. This guy tells me he's not the one who answered the phone. So I say, how many people do you have answering the phone That does not pass on the message that a customer is coming to retrieve a part. His response to his sister that was standing behind the counter with him was these customers always want to argue. I politely checked him then proceeded to wait on my part. The unprofessionalism is real here.
Believe all the bad reviews. Probably the worst point of sale experience I've ever had. The lack of customer service skill, bad attitude, shadiness, and questionable sales tactics in general. Teach this guy a well-deserved lesson and take your business elsewhere.
So I went to the yard and spent 45 mins trying to find the car in the yard before someone finally was able to get anyone help me find the vehicle. Once we finally found the car I had to come back the next day to get the the seat it was missing the head rest which when I arrived was told it was an additional charge for it. I got the seat home and the seat didn't work. I called them the next day and was told they wouldn't replace or return the seat that didn't work. I was told sorry you're out the 200 and hung up. Ill be reaching out to the BBB about their business practices. Do yourself a favor find yourself a better place for parts....
Bought an engine for my 2014 Chevy Cruze here on Mar 24th, had it in and running by Monday Mar 29th. I've put about 1500 miles on it and its been flawless. no issues or hiccups. Intake and valve cover were damaged, but i had them from my old motor. things happen when cars get wrecked i guess. Came with a 1 year warranty and hopefully i wont need it. Its a junkyard, those guys have to deal with a lot of people who have no idea of what they want/need. yeah there attitude could've been better i guess. but i got what i needed, quickly and it works as it should . EDIT: over 10K miles on the engine, still no issues. I'd say it's a good one. Completly happy with Capital City.

1 star only because the guys in the back were helpful. front desk was bad. Worse customer service and false advertising! Don't bother coming here, I know I won't be coming back. A picture online of the wheel I was looking for and the one they claimed was that exact one. BS.
Got a clock spring from this place that caused a new issues on our customers car so all I was asking for was another one. I was told even if they had e other one that they wouldn’t help me out. That’s some good customer service especially being that I’m a repair shop that does 1.5 million a year. I’m sure this place will do fantastic in the future. If I were you, I would avoid this place at all costs. Thanks for taking my money and selling me a broken part.
I’ve been dealing with auto salvage for years I know capital city since they were behind the foxy ladies. How are these people still in business. The worst customer service ever they have never failed at that specially from the light skin Spanish guy who works behind the counter. Wouldn’t be the first place to call looking for parts
1. Cancelled an order but did not contact me--even though I provided contact information when setting up an account with them. 2. When I called to reconstruct the order, they added $5 to 3 parts. And, told me the advertised $80 electronic module listed and ordered individually must be purchased with another electronic module for a total of $550. 3. Reason of cancellation was 'need to inspect a seat first'. This was a few days after I had called and spoke to someone about the seat. They said it was in 'A-' condition and said nothing about inspecting the part. 4. The badgering huckster hung up on me when I questioned the price change and the artificial electronic module dependency. I cannot recall the last time I was met with so much hostility from a retail business. Read the reviews here and on BBB. Buyer beware!
I wouldn’t deal with this place at any cost. The parts are not what they represented to be. This place had us drive almost 2 hours to find out the parts are damaged. They confirmed that it was in great shape. Happened more than once on 2 different parts… and when confronted Chris, he was very rude about it and didn’t even want to apologize and didn’t even offer a discount he said “take it or leave it” do not deal with this shop even if you think you’re saving money. (Not worth it)
Asked a price for a certain type of rims and I was told $70. Asked if I could pick up the same day and said it was fine. Told them I would call back to see if my husband was interested. Called back a few hours later only for them to say I could not pick it up even though they were not closing for another 30 minutes. Told I would have to wait until the next day at 430pm. They wanted a deposit over the phone for a part that I had not even seen yet to know its condition. I refused and asked to be able to pay in person. Man on phone scoffed at me and said "that's not how we work." Really? I've called in to other places and never had issues. Anyway, husband wanted the rim for his car so he drove there this morning. The 70$ rim was now 100$. Definitely steer clear of this place, a bunch of con artists. I'd rather travel out of state to another salvage lot than go 3 miles up the road and deal with the terrible customer service there. Don't waste your time or energy, there's better places around that are willing to have your business without playing games.
This place sucks. There's a reason they are full of 1 star reviews. Ignorant rude staff.
They treated me very badly, the person who takes care of you is not a professional. Very bad communication and even verbally offends you. He behaves like a racist person. I don't recommend it to anyone to visit this store. I think the state should look at these opinions and close that business.
Customers service Garbage, the owner actitud stinks they charged me $175.00 for a port that ain’t even need that I just got brand of new at the auto parts and I even need the give me the wrong part and broked I ain’t even take out of the junk yard and I didn’t give me my money back he’s so Piece of work that ain’t even say another word I let’s him have $175.00 That probably A lot of money for him I got better things to worry to by argument with a Pus………. Like that punk…
No good Bad service no return the parts when it’s not good
Two weeks after I placed my order online I had to call to find out the status of my part. First dude who answered said he can’t help me and that I needed to call back in the afternoon to speak to Chris. When I called back, it took a while to Chris to find my order and then I was told the pet will be shipped tomorrow. 30 minutes later he refunded me saying the tail light was broken! When I inquired why it took me to call them to find out the status of my order 2 weeks later, he said: “ Well unfortunately everybody thinks we live in a digital world there is still people that have to get the order not all transactions come through a computer at all times we don’t sit there and watch our PayPal account sorry you feel that way.” I just say poor customer service…
Never in my entire life have I encountered such rude people! EVER! They cannot be bothered to answer any questions at all regarding the parts you are trying to order so don't bother calling with any. If I had read the reviews prior to calling, I would not have wasted my or my clients time. I suggest you not waste yours either!

Haven't received the engine I purchased from out of state yet. However dealing with whoever I did over the phone seemed like a pretty straightforward dude. Helpful good prices and quick service what more could you ask for?
If you want to be treated with respect don't shop here, we were looking for a piece for my car we called once and they had the piece, two days later we called again to make sure that the piece was still there so we can go and pick it up because i live almost 2 hours away and the Owner catches the worst attitude because we called twice. You don't treat your costumer like this.
Spent 1,000 on an engine that only came with a 90 day warranty. I also paid labor to install the engine just to find out it was no good. After about a month the engine began overheating rendering it useless… When I called, I was told I would have to return the engine in order to get a new one. I just paid 1,000 not including labor for the first one. How would I be able to pay someone to remove the old one and return? Not to mention labor again for installing the new one they’d give to me. Don’t go here.. waste of time and money. Why would you sell me a bad engine?? Why not check your parts before selling them.
So many negative reviews! Stay away from this place! I was there yesterday for something simple and I was treated with disrespect. He is rude, condescending, sarcastic and dishonest. Don't waste your time. He doesn't care about your needs. No customer service skill whatsoever. This is my first and last time dealing with them. He doesn't deserve any stars.
Easy experience. Ordered the part online and picked it up the next day. The Acadia tail light was exactly as described and worked out great. Price was much less than others were asking.
Bought a transmission online from them, received it and few weeks after installation it failed. Message after Message they ignored me. Read reviews to see on ebay they have sold hundreds of bad items and just ignore anyone trying to contact them about it... very bad business practices!
Garbage custom service! Garbage parts,They sold me a damaged part. Called to see if they could resolve my issue and the owner literally told me to go F myself. Do not recommend business with them!

Don't buy anything from here. I paid $175 for Chrysler spare tire, but they gave me a tire for Dodge. we didn't know about it until we tried to replace, it didn't fit, I have receipt to show them. They are really rude and didn't do anything (not store's credit or to find a right one) I saw other customers to complaints while I was waiting there. and many phone calls for complaints. They try to sell you whatever they have and no refunds. a false store. Be careful !!!
I called to check condition of part. Was told door panel was in good condition.I asked if the part was off the vehicle and they said no and would not remove until paid for. Paid for it online and went to pick up the panel. Had to sign for it before i could see it. Went out to get part and it was torn, grease stained and discolored. Told them I could not use the part in this condition and did not want it. They told me they would keep a 35% restocking fee. Argued it was not as described and was not usable. It didn't matter to them, I drove 45 min just to give them $25.00 for nothing. Stay away from this useless company. There should be no stars but I had to select 1 to allow it to post.
I purchased a part over the phone with the owner. He told me it had a small crack. The entire mirror was broken. As soon as part arrives back at my shop, I called to make them aware of issue . They told me to come and return it. When I arrived they told me I had to come back the following day and wouldn’t return part. But I’m welcome to talk to owner who lied and sold me the part. They do not take pride in there parts and lie if u do business over the phone . Def see part before u pay. Liars and sneaks . Don’t do business here .
